The 3rd book is mainly the missions and a few minis per faction. I think they can clear those minis within the year. They already have the spec ops done and shown, Tohaa done and shown, and others seem to be ready as well.

And Carlos said its going to be 10 or less models per faction this book. The sectorial markers for book 4 are already in use on some packaging as well (Antipodes have Russian, Scarface has mercs, and monks have some new YJ).

Ahh... but the thing is, this book is like twice the size they planned on and pushed back 8-10 month. The unit profile being a big part of that, so 2 years isn't that odd. Even more so when the 4th book was rumored as the fill out the current sectorial book, and they did that with this one instead.

Well you might be surprised on how far ahead CB plans, many of the units you see or will see have been fleshed out before The first book hit the selves, of LGS.

I get how far out ahead they plan. I also get they are in no hurry, going there own pace, case in point Raicho. So I don't see them rushing to get the new book out, we might be half a year closer then we would be if the 3rd book was on time, but I still go with 2 years between books like they have being trying to do. Plus the many model weapon loadouts still needed will a few years yet, and I'm not taking about the FO type loadouts that don't need there own model.

Indeed, when HS was released there was an uproar that models from the rulebook were not yet released, CB took note.

I really, really hope they're actually putting the Corax out and not just sticking with the Treitak for CA. A sneaky male Morat just ain't right (yeah I know the fluff says they just sneak in and then kill everyone they can, but that's still sneakin'!).

On a separate topic: Does anyone have any clue what role the Bao Troops will fill? Looks like medium infantry, which I guess ISS is kinda lacking. But unless some cool abilities are added, ISS just doesn't really -need- MI.

Finally, i saw a Stun Pistol on one of the concepts' gear selections Can't recall who just now). That might make getting uncooperative civves off the board a lot easier...

I would be surprised if they do not release the Corax.

Why? Because Combined Army is pretty much the only faction where they could not have the multiple element of units blended into one aspect of the Spec Ops.

Having the Treitak and Corax both available for Combined Army means that both Shasvastii and Morat players can each have something special.

Hooray for special things!

The Bao look awesome and I can't wait to see what role they end up filling. Yu Jing as a whole is really low on possible MI choices so I'm hoping they will fill in there. Especially as the ISS is lacking on that front. A good, sturdy MI link-team would be a huge boon. It will be interesting to see exactly what their capabilities are and how they fit in with the ISS.

Cannot wait to get in on this and dig deeper into the universe. Reminds me of Serinity on Steroids.

Some planets are much less dusty than the ones in Serenity. Some others just nail it

), but yeah, the core worlds are spot on!

I think Corvus Belli has some of the best interaction with customers that I've encountered outside of FW.

What I really, really hope the Bao bring is more options for specialists (engineers and maybe even docs) to the ISS. The Nomads have got some serious edge in missions with a tons of engineers it seems- maybe the Bao will help reduce the ISS's dependency upon Aleph units for fixing things and people

As for vanilla Yu Jing, who needs more MI when we've got Tigers?!?! Ko Dali is a DAMN good deal for what she costs. Although the base troopers aren't that great when not AD'ing, their secondary option of multiterrain at least helps. The first time I played Lost Post I learned the hard way that MI are not great at moving through broken ground, ruins, etc. unless they have multiterrain.
