Doesn't make much sense considering they are practically born pregnant. If they were asexual it would work. In any case he/she looks great!

Oh and HAPPY TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY! In the US anyways. Arrr! Hoist the Shasvastii, Avast ye ya scurvy Yu Jing!

I doubt it's a Marksman Rifle. It looks too sniper rifley to be a MR....but it might be our first glimpse at the Guided MULTI Sniper Rifle that the Haiduk has.

I took a look to compare and I think it's a Multi-Rifle. Notice the muzzle on the Gwailo.

It's entirely likely that it's a Multi-Rifle, and looking at how the errors on the SpecOps have been so far I think that the Corax and Chandra had their loadouts miscommunicated.

The Chandra is said to come with Multi Rifle, Sniper Rifle, and Spitfire but instead it comes with Boarding Shotgun, Spitfire, and Multi Sniper Rifle.

I vaguely recall the Corax mentioned as having that exact loadout...but it would not be the first time we've had a miscommunication regarding unit loadouts.

A somewhat shocking lack of news for Infinity lately - anything of note from the Official Forums?

Nope.

I'm of the theory that it will be a bit later than usual since next month's release includes the Tohaa starter pack, and there will have to be a Tohaa section added to the website rather than just models added to each faction's area.

Depends there was a big surge of news the last two months, far more than what CB usually allows to slip and we have the full September releases as names already beyond that secret figure.

I think its withdrawal symptoms from the constant barrage of exciting news.

Allrighty, so.

Now that I'm awake all the way...
Kaplan Tactical Services:
Love it. The model looks great for a "pointman", with his offhand signaling his follow-up to get down/take cover. Interesting to note that he's using ALEPH equipment again like the Druze. Wonder if there's a story behind that?

Wildcats:
I've been waiting to see how the models turned out, and if they all are as good as this one...
Well, Corregidor here I come!

Corax:
Eh. It's cool, but the pose isn't that great. If my brother wants one for his Shasvastii though, he'll be getting one.

Tohaa Starter Pack:
Nothing really new here. Still looks good though.

Tohaa Diplomatic Delegates:
Eh. Not much to say beyond that. It's a campaign model, for a specific scenario likely. Not too big on the whole "I'm a high value target alien diplomat and in a warzone with a vicious Combined Army enemy that would love to capture and/or kill me ...so let's go out in evening wear!" schtick.

Nothing really to add to what Kan has said really!

See what you mean about the Kaplan guy perhaps signalling to guys coming behind him - think that is a pretty cool idea as a 'merc' style unit. Would probably give him a more interesting colour scheme though!

I actually quite like the pose on the Shasvastii.. from the style she is obviously female, yet despite the rather non-descript style of armour you just know that whatever is under that armour is not human. I think it's pretty clever in that regard.

So, just doing a quick bit of reposting with the fluff associated with each.

Kaplan Tactical Services with Spitfire.

KTS, KAPLAN TACTICAL SERVICES

"Tüm kurt Kaplan korkusu" (Turkish: All wolves fear the Tiger). Motto of the Kaplan Tactical Services.

Kaplan Tactical Services (KTS) is a military and private security company subsidiary of Beyhan Resources Şti., a private engineering and construction corporation property of Hikmet Bey, one of the great Silk tycoons.

KTS was created with the purpose of defending the many facilities and staff under the Beyhan Resources Şti. umbrella during the turbulent days of the Silk Revolts. In those days the Sultanate, overwhelmed by the attacks of insurrectionist tycoons, was unable to guarantee the protection of any transorbital facility. Hikmet Bey therefore personally charged former military colonel Çelik Ozalan with the creation of an elite unit to secure the continuity of Beyhan Resources Şti.'s operations. The success of KTS was so clear that by the end of the Silk Revolts, it had its size and operational capability improved to be able to offer its services to third parties.

In the years since the Silk Revolts, and thanks to the contacts of Hikmet Bey, KTS has gained several security contracts with the Funduq Sultanate, including protection, defense and support operations. It has also received attack contracts, especially during the Ariadnan Commercial Conflicts and the Paradiso Offensives. The Kaplan especially stand out as expert combat engineers, specializing in sabotage and counter-sabotage techniques.

The success of Kaplan Tactical Services is fundamentally due to the character granted by its bold and efficient founder, former colonel Ozalan. This veteran soldier gifted the KTS with a self-sacrificing combat spirit driven by the humanist ideals of Haqqislamite culture. The Kaplan mercenary, a Turkish word meaning "Tiger", is always expected to be as courageous as he is intelligent and uncompromising in his mission. The strict Kaplan code of behavior gives them an aura of "honorable mercenaries" that clearly distinguishes them beyond any other soldier of fortune.

In KTS, recruits are not asked about their past, but are forced towards a full accord with the unit's code of honor and those who fail to meet these standards are expelled without regard. In the same way, KTS can break a contract if it discovers the operational terms, or its client's objectives, contradict its own code, even if this may cause some friction with its mother corporation, Beyhan Resources Şti.

This strong esprit de corps makes the Kaplan feel superior to the majority of professional mercenaries, as well as to most regular military units. However, their operational capabilities, their technical skills and their adaptability to any situation, no matter how difficult, are true facts and qualities highly esteemed by their clients. Thanks to their professionalism as highly trusted elite troops, KTS has been so well integrated into the Qapu Khalqi's military structure that they are also known as the "Sultan's Tigers", undertaking complex operations in the Sultanate's service and forging their fame and prestige. But no matter whether they are working for a government or a private company, Kaplans are always a guarantee of success; their strict code forces them to accept no other option.

Wildcats with Spitfire.

WILDCATS, MULTIPURPOSE TACTICAL UNIT

"The mission is a go. You already know the operative parameters: no prisoners or negotiation. We go in, we kill, we get out".

Gunnery Sergeant Charles Mucavele, Wildcats Unit. Raid on the I+R station Starborn-3, allegedly linked to ALEPH. Ghost Conflict.

You have probably never heard of the Mkuki Soldiers, or the Barabara Vita, the Road Wars that devastated part of Africa in the days before the building of the Orbital Elevator of Oriental Africa. Now they are just a footnote in the pages of history, but in their day they were a tragedy as brutal anything the African continent has seen. At that time, a number of corporations were competing against each other by drawing communication and trade lines to the Orbital Elevator. Many of these routes passed through ancestral tribal territories, so rival tribes were enlisted and armed to expel people and clear the way for the new roads, or to murder workers from other companies. The methods of these irregular troops were savage and they were known as Mkuki ("spear" in Swahili) Soldiers for their habit of impaling their victims to instill terror in the populace. Over time, the Mkuki Soldiers were declared war criminals and disbanded. Some of them paid for their crimes, but many hid among the refugees displaced by the works of the Orbital Elevator.

Obviously, one can imagine that some of them ended up in Lazareto, the refugee module of Corregidor, where they tried to establish a small extortion network. Discovered by the Alguaciles, the Mkuki came to the attention of Sarmiento, the "Mexican General", who was interested in establishing a specialized mobile shock unit able to be promoted by Corregidor on the mercenary market as a complement for its Alguaciles. So he offered them the chance to participate in his military project or to go for a walk through the airlock. Those who accepted Sarmiento's proposal were instructed in advanced combat techniques, which they combined with their experience in the African conflicts. So the Wildcats were born, a group formed from the biggest sons of bitches that emerged from African tribal wars and were polished in conflicts across the whole Human Sphere, always working for Corregidor’s interests, just under the Nomad Nations flag... or in the highest bidder's service.

Now things have changed. There are no more Mkuki, but the unit still recruits sons of bitches - preferably hardened in Corregidor street fights, or from a tough life working in space - and subjecting them to harsh training. Because what has not changed for the Wildcats is the kinds of missions they run: high priority, high risk, always requiring hostile contact with the enemy, no matter whether they work for the Nomads Military Force or under a contract.

In the Jurisdictional Command of Corregidor, the Wildcats lack glamour: they are not undercover agents like the Intruders, they are not children’s heroes like Tomcats, and they don‘t make high speed transorbital deployments like the Hellcats. The only thing they have is their reputation, the reputation of being skilled at killing. Wildcats have specialized in basic soldiering tasks: shooting, movement and teamwork, until they can do them with great perfection and mastery. They are expert shooters who act in synchronization with absolute precision. Wildcats are the guys that do the dirty and hard work, the perfect mercenaries, capable of performing any operations without asking questions. Their mission is to engage in combat and always maintain a high level of aggressiveness to destroy the enemy's operational capacity. In other words: go in shooting and give no quarter. True wild cats, hence their name.

Shasvastii Corax Spec-Ops.

SHASVASTII CORAX SPEC-OPS

The Corash-Naish troops [O-12 Designation-Code: Corax (Latin term for "crow")] are the birds of prey in the Shasvastii Expeditionary Force equivalent of a Military Intelligence Service. They are tasked with all the dirty work of special operations units. Known by intelligence operators of the coalition forces as the "Master Liars", the Corax stand out for their duplicity in the midst of a race characterized for its taste for deception, treachery and lies. Because, without a doubt, it is operating in the shadows and behind the enemy lines where these vile Shasvastii are the happiest. The Corax are natural dwellers in that dark world full of secrets that is the covert operations sphere. These troops have received the "Naish" denomination for being a special unit subjected to the necessary body alterations to be able to undertake sabotage and destruction missions in our rearguard more easily. However, the Corax have not only received their O-12 designation-code due to a spelling similarity of their name with the Latin term for "crow", but also because, like these birds, they are dark creatures that presage terrible acts.

Tohaa Starter Pack.

KAMAEL LIGHT INFANTRY

Vaarso Battlespeak Notation: Since first days of the Colonial Force, the Tohaa army created after Unification and forerunner of the modern Tohaa Trident, the hundreds have been used to identify the basic military corps. Nowadays, the hundreds are the numeric denominator for the vertebral corps, those making up the core of each of the three spikes or branches of the Tohaa Trident. For Tohaa numerologists, the number 110 symbolizes glory through very painful conditions and great personal sacrifice.

After the initial military disasters in the Wars against the Fenrig Imperative, there was only time to apply the reforms of the New Model Army to one integral military body, the Kamael Light Infantry, or the 110. The New Model Army's success was evident: Facing the Fenrig, Kamael Infantry obtained victories while the rest of the basic infantry corps were reduced to ashes. At the end of the Wars against the Fenrig Imperative, the Kamael Light Infantry had become the main infantry corps for the Tohaa Trident, absorbing the remnants of the other infantry types.

Profile: Kamael Light infantry comprises the main combat corps of the Tohaa Trident and is the fundamental support for any combat action, from massive clashes to limited operations. Currently, Light Infantry regiments are the biggest and most numerous units in the Tohaa military forces. Spread across the entire Tohaa Trinomial territory, they are present on every frontline against the EI's Combined Army. Constant conflict against such a powerful adversary has sharpened the skills of these regiments, hardening them in the heat of battle. However, it is selflessness which distinguishes the glorious Kamael Light Infantry, always carrying the weight of action without respite. There is no more steady or determined stride than that of the troops that advance, day after day, to liberate their people from tyranny and to open the gates of the future for their entire race.

SAKIEL REGIMENT

Vaarso Battlespeak Notation: Given the relevance of number 3 in the Tohaa culture, all numbers that are multiples of 3 are reserved for designating prestigious multipurpose units, those notable for their mobile and adaptative qualities. The number 36, or Sakiel, refers to endeavor and stubbornness in the face of an enemy or a particular type of opposition.

Profile: There are two main requisites to be part of the Sakiel regiment. The first is to possess combat experience with a good record of frontline actions. The second is to have suffered a personal tragedy. All Sakiel are native to the Colonial Systems, all coming from Tohaa worlds that have fallen under the Evolved Intelligence's domain. They have all seen their cities and their loved ones burn. They are all uprooted soldiers without a home to return to, without families with which to reunite. However, they all share a personal objective: Vengeance. Their sole purpose is to make EI pay for the atrocities it and its associated races have committed. A cold hate is nestled within the hearts of the Sakiel which erases any other emotion they might feel. None of them will fail in their commitment and not one will renounce their mission; the Sakiel are willing to make the ultimate sacrifices to strike back at their greatest enemy without hesitation, doubt, or mercy.

ECTROS REGIMENT

Vaarso Battlespeak Notation: Ectros is the name given in Tohaa language to "e Number". The e mathematical constant (e ≈ 2,718...) is Calculus's number par excellence as well as one of the most important numbers in mathematics. In Neebab Numerology, number e refers to absolute success in actions of great magnitude and importance.

The Ectros Regiment was the first Tohaa Heavy Infantry unit adapted to the concepts of the New Model Army, absorbing the tactical lessons learned in the initial clashes against the relentless Fenrig. In this way, the Ectros Regiment became the main spearhead of Tohaa forces in the second phase of the War against the Fenrig Imperative, developing a crucial role in the victory against the expansionist enemy.

Profile: The Ectros Regiment can boast an excellent combat record, with a length few line units in this arm of the galaxy can equal, as it has participated in all conflicts that its race has suffered through in recent history. The Regiment is the oldest Heavy Infantry unit still active in the Tohaa Trident, acting as the structural axis of the Infantry corps and the core of the heavy assault forces. The Ectros are known as the "foundations of the attack divisions", and when talking about their exploits it is always acknowledged that they continually fight in the hot spots of greatest responsibility. The Regiment was the architect of the most awesome victories in the Tohaa Wars against the Fenrig Imperative, and is a veteran unit in the constant conflict against the EI. There is no planet or colony that does not have a commemorative plaque dedicated to this unit, acknowledging its sacrifices. Its members are proud of their their exceptional talent for achieving victory as well as their capacity for survival, openly self-proclaimed as ‘hard-to-kill bastards’. The Ectros are gifted with not only a finely honed tactical instinct but also the personality of the Holdaan hornbeast, king predator of planet Runohaa, from which they have adopted its characteristic horns and poison. On any battlefront where an impressive resistance has been conducted, and in any battle where victory has been stolen from EI's claws, there will be an Ectros Regiment survivor, shamelessly grinning while directing obscene gestures towards the dying enemy.

CLIPSOS INFILTRATORS

Vaarso Battlespeak Notation: Clipsos is the name given to the "Null Set" (Ø) in the Tohaa language. As a symbol, Clipsos denotes absence but also potentiality, which is why it has become the denominator of the Tohaa invisible troops, those capable of anything.

Profile: Clipsos Infiltrators make up the Executive Action, infiltration and deep surveillance unit of the Tohaa army. Because of this, inside the structure of the Tohaa Trident they are under the operational control of the Exploration and Intelligence branch, the Tohaa equivalent of a Military Intelligence service. The primary mission of this invisible unit is to compile vital information about an enemy and its resources as well as carrying out missions involving the elimination of people and strategic objectives, and performing black operations and unregistered actions. The Clipsos are undetectable executioners able to escape through the gaps in an enemy’s lines.

Clipsos Infiltrators have a very strict recruitment process, as not many Tohaa can fulfill the minimum requirements to be a part of this unit. Their members cannot be married or belong to any Triad, be it civil or military, and the selection process emphasizes psychological evaluation, constantly testing their temperament. Only loners and strong individualists, uncommon in Tohaa society, are capable of enduring extended missions in hostile territory, isolated, without provisions or contact with allied forces. However, the essential elements to becoming one of these invisible operatives are a steady hand and the lack of empathy so characteristic of a long range killer.

Tohaa Diplomatic Delegates.

TOHAA DIPLOMATIC DELEGATES

The Diplomatic Delegates are highly respected in Tohaa society. They are a social elite far above any politician. Easily recognized by their distinguished bearing, the Diplomatic Delegates are characterized by their extraordinary ability to maneuver in the most tempestuous situations intergalactic diplomacy can generate. The members of Tohaa Diplomacy are known for their flexibility and adaptability to any scenario. Such is their ability that the rumor is they have been biomodified to have extreme control over their pheromonic capabilities, so they can exactly control the information they emit. In this way, a Diplomatic Delegate may even lie without betraying itself if need be or even completely block its emissions to avoid revealing secrets or disturbing other races sensitive to pheromonic information. Those biomodifications would also include alterations to phonation organs so they can replicate sounds of other alien languages, making direct communication easier, without need for simultaneous translation devices.

As a civilization of eminent explorers, the Tohaa have a long record of first contacts with other species, not all of them friendly, and quite often dangerous. The Diplomatic Delegates are the first ones to make initial contact and to enter unknown terrain. That is why they are required to always have a high level of preparation, cold blood, and an absolute level of professionalism, because their tasks also include high-level espionage, always implicit, never explicit, as well as conspiracy and intrigue. For this reason, the Diplomatic Delegates are depicted as the main characters in many works of fiction in the Tohaa entertainment industry, personifying the perfect ideal of the elegant, refined and glamorous spy.
