I for one absolutely LOVE the model. His rules are fantastic as well since at 43 points he is DIRT cheap for his statline and with 2 combi's he's goign to put out a lot more hurt then people expect. If he gets in CC, well, it was nice knowing ya with a CC 27 EXP CCW.

Ouch, i hadnt thought about the +9 CC from Berserk! Thats does kind of make him a HtH beast with that Exp CCW....

Not too hot on the sculpt, there is now a skiing Kaplan and an Ice-Hockey Ajax.....Is CB going for a Winter Olympics theme?

I don't think the sculpt is bad on either. It's a very dynamic post where he is about to hammer the crap outta something.

CC 27? Whaaaaat?

I keep expecting the [First Unread] notification to finally take me to the picture of the actual Raicho miniature.

Remember that he is a recreation, not human, so crazy flexibility is prob not out of the normal when he really wants to hammer the piss outta something.

Slight criticism - the hammer head might be a little too big, but then it could be that CB are deliberately going for a 'larger than life' look for the style of these miniatures. The greek themed characters are perhaps the only true heroes in the Infinity Universe - absolutely no-one would be capable of lifting that hammer except for Ajax, let alone using it as a weapon!

HMV, would you mind if a bet-around was started for when you are going to say something complementary - anything - about a miniature?

No, really. Add some GS to bulk up his "Power Armor", add SM backpack. Voila! SM Captain with Thunderhammer!

Not that I'd do it, but I can totally see someone doing it.

About the bag, remember he has 2 combi rifles.

Even if the bag is part of the mini and not separate ( which I would imagine it is) it should be easy to carve off and replace with a dual holster for the combi rifles, a much better look than a laptop bag IMHO.

.... though you could then add it to a Myrmidon to represent a hacker...

I so hope thats a TAG base and he is the size of a small TAG. Who need a giant robot.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.

If any faction were to get giant superhumans, it would be Aleph. The fact that Ajax is not a common grunt makes him all that more special.

Go ahead, though I do believe I did say something positive about one mini or another in those 100+ pages.

I don't mind being the resident blue guy in a dust bin, but I hate to see an otherwise perfectly executed miniature spoiled by relatively minor design flaws. It's all CB's fault really, they spoiled me...

Chin up friend - it's not all that bad!

If you filter this thread by His Master's Voice, you'll see quite a few miniatures that he does in fact like!

Lately between 20th-25th of the month, and never during weekends. Their prefered days seem to be Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Also, November is traditionally known in Infinity as the Christmas month, giving the fact they release the news that will be ready on time for everyone to have them under their Christmas tree. That means it is the strongest month of the year and as such we're expecting at a release at least as strong as last month's one. (it must be noted this year's October releases were at the level of last years November updates)

Definitely News, but not a rumor as it is 100% for certain:

The Battle Foam Gaming Saloon is having a Black Weekend Sale 11/23-11/25, next Friday through Sunday. This INCLUDES Infinity models and books, and all Micro Arts Studios terrain/templates/markers/etc. This sale is available to EVERYBODY, not just the folks who walk into our store. Take advantage of this opportunity to pick up your copy of Campaign: Paradiso, expand your sectorials or start that new faction you've been eyeing.

We have a fairly large amount of backstock, and if we happen to run out of what you're looking for we will be placing our restock order on the following Monday to get what you need.

The Saloon is open Black Friday 12 am to 12 am, Saturday 12 noon to 12 am, and Sunday 12 noon until 10 pm. All times are Mountains Standard. Remember that all Battlefoam Products are 25% off this weekend as well, but you cannot order anything except bags and foam online. You will need to call in to us to place an order for models and gaming supplies. Ask for Chris or Bill.

Battle Foam Gaming Saloon
Local: 480-747-0230 ext 5000
Toll Free: 1-877-336-3626 ext 5000

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

It seems that it's 25% off all products only if you walk-in. Otherwise, it's 25% off only on Battlefoam items.

Meanwhile actual online shops such as Warstore, SciFiGenre, Miniatures Market, have a constant 20% off deal and commonly employ an additional Black Friday deal. Warstore, I know has an annual additional 5% off deal.

I never said that.
But they have a constant 20% off Infinity (check their site) and often have a Black Friday Sale of some sort; who knows what'll happen this year.

It will be either today or tomorrow, or Nov. 26th or 27th!

Have no fear, the RAICHO is coming!

Be Thankful!

@Alpharius: No offense, but I would totally laugh if they still didn't show the Raicho model! I am scared to see said model because I am fighting the urge to start yet another force. The Ajax model just about has me wanting to go to the war store website and order the steel phalanx set!

By the way, thanks to all who gave me some good ideas for an Ajax list, I need to review them and see which I like better.
