I do agree with you that the Corregidor Starter Box would make more sense that a Riot Grrls one, but then, the Riot Grrls one sort of proves my earlier point too...

Admittedly I'm not entirely frustrated by the addition of the Riot Grrls--but I do wish that they had gone for the 1:1 release ratio.

Like: Wildcats Boxed Set->Riot Grrls boxed set.

But nope. Wildcats are, from the reports I have gathered, not getting a boxed set. They are getting blisters and the Corregidor starter box.

When such a critical unit being only available in a starter box, there is an issue.

They could just get a 3-man blister instead of a boxed set.

Dakini and Ghulam are in their respective starters and a 3-man blister and they're all fine. It's not too bad of a deal either with them being a core soldier offered in bulk with the typical rifle or singular with a special weapon. They're all great models with the Dakini especially beig full of many parts and fiddly bits (shinguards).
I'd imagine the new Thorakitai will be getting a blister as well, soon.

3-man blisters work out better than the awkward scenarios like the Merovingian Starter or the Acontecimento Starter that contain 3 out of 4 of the "core" soldier. You'd have to buy a set containing a duplicate in order to get that last missing model.

I agree with PsychoticStorm here. A selfcentredness seems to be driving your opposition to the WulverGirls. Do I want to buy the WulverGirls? No, I don't usually go in for furries. Do I resent them coming out before, say, a Druze Spitfire? No, because I don't feel that CB has to cater to my own personal tastes every time. There is, after all, a lot of different people who play this game. So that is why everyone else has no problem with the Wulvergirls, since clearly people do want them, because we're all expecting that we'll get something that we do want in due course.

But on topic: I don't mind them releasing whatever they feel will sell well. Think of it like this: Wulver Girls will finance a Hassasin Barid or some Doctors that people were asking for.

This is correct. Some miniatures are trapped in some 2 figure blisters. The Caledonian female Volunteer, the Acontecimento Regular with Spitfire,the keisotsu with light grenade launcher, the moderador from Bakunin with the lolipop...
There is no way A player can buy an starter pack an then try to get one of those models without having an extra repeated figure. CB should release light infantry boxes with all the extra weapon options apart from the usual combi rifles that are available in the stater packs.

I'm happy as long as they keep putting out cool stuff that I want to buy.

Isn't that enough guys?

I would like to note that it DID get results, in the form of a promise for a "Step by Step" on the Briscards AND Corregidor starter boxes.

Them releasing things that sell well is great, I just wish they'd avoid stereotypical conventions in their models.

Make their world theirs, not simply a blending of existing ideas.

The four models in the forefront are likely the Makaul before the bases are finished.

I was thinking if I can somehow combine the Raicho and Scarface's parts (mostly the guns and the head)? I like the general look of the Raicho but I can't use it in game and most of the CA models don't really appeal to me, so I was thinking maybe use it as Scarface for QK?

Are there extra hands just above the codpiece? What is their function?
No room for legs of the pilot but a copilot to protect the privates???

The pilot is in the area where the arms are.

The "head" of the piloted TAGs are more or less for show.

Yeah, Infinity has manned and unmanned (remote) TAGs. The Raicho is a manned TAG, and those arms are where the actual pilot's arms are located.

I guess the Morat who lose their legs in combat get to pilot a Raicho!

Should be (hopefully) easily fixed by leaving the little arms off.

I'm thinking of leaving the arms of the Raicho, but I'll have to see how that looks in person before making a final decision...

I like the arms. It grounds the thing in reality and still looks fine.
I don't think an extended crotch would have looked nice on a proud-warrior-race death-machine.

So according to Angel, the four models are NOT Tohaa.

That style of basing is used for four armies:
The Tohaa, painted a bit differently but he generally starts with that coloration.
The Combined Army, with again a different paintjob but started with that coloration.
Ariadna, same thing.
Yu Jing has that exact coloration and style.

I really need Bao troops...

Riot Grrls box is coming; but they use a different style of base.

Pose similarity made me wonder if he was repainting a spitfire grrl to match her new boxmates? But most of me hopes I'm wrong and we get four new chicas entirely ...

Though yes the finished BJC bases are entirely differently modeled. Merhaps it's the Shasii Caliban set? In which case they're disturbingly upright
