My understanding is that he does not ever repaint models to match the boxes.

Weren't there a few Nomad models painted again - or at least rebased - to match the BJC basing once it hit? Thinking of the chick zero here & here. Or is that just digital?

But yes, I was grasping

It might be digital. They have done similar things before. With miniatures with different options, I've seen in Angel's blog miniatures fully painted and next to it the same model with a different gear, fully primed, but only with the different parts painted.

My understanding is that he tends to paint things with interchangeable parts in components. I could have swore he had made a comment to that effect when the first batch of SpecOps was on his painting blog.

I do know, however, that he has said he never puts old models into these "preview" shots. Add to it that the Spitfire Riot Grrl would have been given a base to match the box to begin with if they were changing the look and that the Spitfire Riot Grrl will not be part of the boxed set and it makes it less and less likely that it is the Riot Grrls.

I agree with Kanluwen, I think the far left one is Aleph and the other four a new Tohaa box.

Angel said in Facebook something like "you don't pay attention, that's not the way I do Tohaa bases!".

So they might be Wulvers or Briscards...

Edit: A message from Bostria: the pics of December's new releases (Raicho, Riot Grrls, Makaul...) won't be uploaded until Monday 24th, or Wednesday 26th as the worst. Having many boxes this month is making them work very hard.

I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer...

But I do want to get that order for a Raicho in soon!

I probably should remind you guys one thing: December 28th is the Spanish equivalent to April's Fools. So don't trust any "official" news from the Spanish companies published that day. Corvus Belli, Knight Models, Kensei...

I had no idea about that - so thank you for the heads up and the warning!

BTW is it still correct that you just email contactus@corvusbelli.com if a part is missing and they react immediately? A friend of mine contacted them more than a week ago and no reply or reaction.

It's what I did for the only time I've needed to. They responded immediately and had the new bits out within 4 days.

Same here, I had that problem once, and in about three days I got it. Maybe they just missed the mail. Your friend should try again.

Depending on when the email was sent they may be working through a backlog as I think they have just had some festival/holiday days in Spain recently.

Good to know - maybe we should start a thread in the INFINITY Forum about this?

Could be helpful for future generations, while at the same time not making me think there's been an update in here containing pictures of all of December's new releases!

It's not bad but I wish they'd have more guys with both hands on a gun. He also looks like he's doing a Irish dance.

That's the danger in 'dynamic posing' that everyone claims to love in theory and not like so much in reality.

Granted, CB do it better than most (whereas GW does it worse than most), but there are still a few 'misses' here and there with the best of them!

Yeah, but much like GW's power armored models waving their giant guns one-handed while slapping some invisible nonce with a sword/fist/whatever...

It's at least a bit less silly, given all the tech allowing a user to essentially have a "stable" firing platform via their armor.

I like the running pose, I don't like i the weapon in each hand, while spriting down the feild. Hard enough to keep from cutting yourself with the sword held like that, yet alone shoot the gun.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

eh he does look a bit like he is prancing, but as Kan pointed out the power armor could be locked into any position. The arm has a stable firing platform and the sword could be locked into a safety position while running.

That being said, the sword would look way better sheathed.

I like dynamic if done at least somewhat sensibly. Maybe if there was something on the base to show him stepping over it would make more sense.

I think it could be easily converted to just cut the sword off to have nothing in the hand and put the sword at his side or back. It would need a new pommel though.

Every time I see a model putting a single toe to the ground I think, "Goddamnit, not another one."

Its a cool model, but that HMG is tiiiiny. And a Hospitaler shouldn't be all twinkletoes, it should be punching through a damn wall.

Some kind of smaller, portable version perhaps?

I agree the post doesn't work 100% (although still not bad per-se), but I do think it looks better than the other, older Hospitaller model.

I think if you just rolled him forward so that the HMG was completely horizontal you'd have a much more convincing running pose.
He definitely isn't Minuteman bad.

the weapons in Infinty are finally been done in scale, so expect smaller leaner weapons in more realistic proportions to the models carrying it and yes that means the weapons in the hands of HI models, that are far bigger than a human in combat fatigues inevitably look small in their hands.
