The bend straw arm is likely an illusion from the camera angle and painting. Several of the Nomads have this armor and it's like the elbow in person is just fine.

What's with the Wildcat's rocket launcher arm? I like her design apart from that. Aleph support pack looks very sleek, too.

So did the Kan Man, apparently!

I have no problem with models having 'non-firing' poses.

No problem at all!

I should clarify, since I know Alphy will tease me endlessly here...

I am not entirely against 'non-firing' poses. I have a problem with 'silly non-firing and unnecessary genderization' poses.

Things like the Sekban with HRL, Phoenix, even the Briscard with HRL?
Those look good. They look dynamic.
You can envisage the Sekban moving himself up to a firing position with no real rush, trusting to his armor to keep him safe.
You can envisage Phoenix at the front of a Myrmidon defensive line, yelling at his charges to hold the line.
You can envisage the Briscard with HRL spotting targets for his squad as he waits for the right moment to unleash his rockets at a nice, juicy target.

The Wildcat? Nothing about that particular pose (or the ridiculous "cyberponytail". Why? WHY?! What other Corregidor models have anything like that? None! Even the so/so Tomcat Engineer has no ponytail. That's a Bakunin thing, dangit!) makes you think of Corregidor. Nothing about that makes you think of a hardcore unit that Corregidor employs for the truly nasty missions.
If anything, it makes you think of the ridiculousness that is Bakunin cranked up to 11 and given a dose of Michael Bay syndrome.

The Sekban is totally a 'I just blew up your TAG bro' strut. Michael Bay 11 and it's awesome.

I am way, way into that Wildcat model. I simply couldn't disagree with Kanluwen more (respectfully of course). The pose is great, and I love the flying hair. Yes, it's very ornamental and not terribly practical. But this is an anime-based fantasy Sci-fi game, not a military modelers' accuracy-contest.

The CG hacker is great too. Can't wait to get that fig! It's interesting that it's the first hacker manipulating a device rather than a midair AR display though- I kind of like that concreteness actually.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I love the pose of the Wildcat as well, but I just can't unsee the bendy straw.

They're ribbed for her pleasure!

I figure if you can't unsee one image, well, I can't go away but I can replace it with another image.

Nope. Just replaced one image of a bendy straw with another.

I quite like the "have some of THAT" pose of the Wildcat, but I think I'd do that hair swap as suggested.

Must hold back from Nomads for the moment though.........can't start them yet as still got Aleph in the blisters...........

That bit from The Rundown/Welcome to the Jungle where the Rock is just walking to the camera with the constipated McSerious look.

That's the Sekban.

You know, one of things that sets Infinity minis ahead of other well-proportioned heroic mini ranges is the great amount of attitude in some of the poses. The finger-pointers, the cocked hips, etc. are great, but without resorting to "bald and screaming" much at all. Sure, they make some things kinda unrealistic (especially the feminine "too sexy for my gun" poses, but an ability to abridge realism slightly in favor of the awesome why we're not just playing some grim near-future spec-ops game.

As for the bendy straw, that might not be so much the case when you see the mini from a regular play angle. Lots of things look odd when viewed from table height. The only recent Infinity mini (that I recall) that had a fuggly picture that turned out to be dead accurate was the fatty Agema.

Also, the first one to model the Sekban walking away from an explosion should probably get a prize of some sort.

Yep, I mean, the model that got me to start Infinity is a sniper that's not aiming.

Spoiler:

Corvus Belli are great at doing non aiming and even non combat poses. That Hawwa is just doing a cool pose with her rifle resting on her pack. It's my favorite sniper fig.

I've got mixed feelings in this regard. I love the Al'Hawwa, but I hate for example the Mk2 sniper proxy. Sitting casually on that low wall, it just doesn't work for me, that's why I had to completely change the pose on her.
I'm super picky with poses and tend to prefer tacticool stuff over manga attitudes, but some of the more casual poses indeed positively set the Infinity sculpts apart from all the other companies.
I'd actually say CB got some of everything and that's why it's appealing to everyone. You get your snipers in realistic poses, in casual poses, in triumphant poses and in manga poses. And if you still want screaming baldheads, they recently released Ajax for you...

That's the model that convinced me to start Haqqislam!

Good thing too, as QK gets all the toys!

Does anyone have any idea of when the January models will be released? It seems a little late and The War Store doesn't have them up for sale yet besides pre-order. I was hoping to have those sweet Makaul troops by now. I'm getting a little anxious to place my order.

I see you those Makaul and raise you a...Raicho!

Seriously though, I would also like to know when "December" releases (for sale in January) will be available.

Hopefully we're not on the verge of a 2 month gap on a regular basis!

That scenery is excellent. I've been following him on Youtube for a year or so.

He has some high quality work and a broad base of knowledge on the stuff.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

You got me there. I don't even play or collect CA and I'm seriously considering buying a Raicho to paint just because it's just a sweet looking model. I hope it isn't much longer until we get our hands on the new stuff. I can't stand the waiting, I've been collecting up all the Tohaa and waiting to paint them all at once and the Makaul and Gao-Rael with Spitfire are the last minis I was awaiting for the big paint fest. Why must they torture us like this?

My favourite Scenery Planet video is this set of industrial terrain. I think this is perfect for any game.

I will use this in Infinity, 40K, Malifaux, Dust...

It's CB's standard issues with big releases after periods of inactivity coupled (most likely) with the storms we've been getting off/on here on the East Coast.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for any update from The Warstore, and I will try my best to ensure that I post it here as soon as I see it--unless someone beats me to it.

Thanks Kanluwen, I appreciate it. I've been checking as often as possible here as well. I guess it's too much to ask for CB to just have a standard "release week" every month. That way we wouldn't have to speculate and pull our hair out or aggravate the FLGS every month about new releases. I don't even bother asking the local shop owner about getting the latest releases that I'm most excited about. The shared annoyance on both our parts simply isn't worth it. He can't ever get anything in a reasonable amount of time from his distributor and I simply won't wait an extra month or two for them to ship it to him.

Okay, I talked with someone there and it was a mistake. It was supposed to be listed as a preorder and not "in stock".
