I don't really consider any of those poses to be "sexy".

If I were to say ANYTHING that detracts from the Corregidor box for me?
It's that Corvus Belli did a 1:1 ratio of "standing around" poses and "action" poses.

The two new male Wildcats?
Great poses. They have a bit of a tactical look to them, as though they are working in conjunction while clearing a room or building.
The Hellcat?
She looks as though she's coming in for a landing. Removing the knife so that it does not look as silly will be easy. (Serious question: Who would jump with a knife out? It seems...questionable in the logic department)

The female Wildcat?
It's a good sculpt. She does not look as cheesecake as the Wildcat with HRL does. She looks like she's taking a breather after a firefight; not like "PewPew! I got you!".
The new Intruder has that same kind of look, someone who has just been involved in combat but not like someone who has just got done with a day of paintball/laser tag.

The Alguacil is the big dud of the box. It's nice to see that the Alguacils have armor, and it's even nicer to see her wearing a helmet. But the random hand saluting and hand on her hip detracts from it for me.

I knew Kan would like those the moment I saw them...

Fricking awesome, already got some Tomcats (I have a Nomad force split between 'helmeted guys' and 'when animals attack') so it's a no-brainer for me to get these.

Agree that the poses on the Wildcats look great!

Another highlight for me is the helmet on the Intruder.

You know what? I just realized something else that was slightly nagging at me but I couldn't place it.

All of those models(barring maybe the Hellcat; don't remember off the top of my head) are Combi Rifles+ Light Flamethrowers.

So why did they give them the 'new' combi rifle design rather than the Tomcat combi rifle+ light flamethrower rifle design?
Would have been a nice way to differentiate between Bakunin and Corregidor in terms of weapon styles.

I LOVE the new Alguacil look - and I cannot wait for those models to get updated, as they really need it!

I initially thought the same, that she was giving a spunky salute, but as she is a hacker, it occurs to me that is the pose actually meant to show her adjusting some sort of optical interface unit, ala Google Glass?

Her pose actually makes a great deal more sense that way, as the other hand on the hip seems natural if one is absorbed in a task.

I had thought about giving her the benefit of the doubt; but if you look there's no optical interface or anything.

There's just her giving a salute with her palm facing outward.

Something that occurred to me as well is that now with the Intruders being redone and their AVA 5 in Corregidor...
We might be seeing an Intruder box.

Welcome to the fun!

A fantastic release. I'll be getting that Haiduk even if I never use him!

Corregidor is the start of the show though. I love all of them.

I can't wait to see each one on Angel's blog. Then we can see all around them.

Oh my goodness, the Corregidor Jurisdictional Command Box, oh my goodness. The Corregidor Jurisdictional Command, oh my goodness.

Why oh why wait until I'm painting my Bakunin to release these!? I'm actually not interested in the male Wildcats, they look awkward and uncomfortable to my eye so I can't buy into it. I love all the bad mfrakker pinup poses though, very Nomad, very anime. I know how I'll be expanding my Heralds now!

She looks as though that's what she should look like she's doing, but it actually looks more like she should be leaning against a wall...

Individually I love all of these except maybe salutegirl, but as a unit I'm not a fan of the mix of poses.

Hmm, I look at both of those things differently...

I've always seen the jump troops as being slightly suspended by their gear which makes their poses a little weightless on purpose. I actually think she is in a pinup pose but barely holding her own weight.

With the boxes I view them as collections of completely seperate miniatures. They are put together for ease of purchase rather than continuity of style.

That's my point of view anyway, it might not be the intention but it seems logical to me.

Intruders continue to get the badass sculpting that they deserve. Way to go CB!!

I'll be picking that box up as my official Nomad starter.

I thought I'd show this for the hell of it to show how this box can be played in a small game right out of the box. With just a few upgrades where the weapon doesn't matter. I made one Wildcat a Lt., a Number 2, and one is an Engineer. You could also make the Hellcat a Medic or something too.

JURISDICTIONAL COMMAND OF CORREGIDOR

INTRUDER Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, Grenades / Pistol, CCW. (36)

HELLCAT Combi Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (24)

0.5 SWC | 144 Points

By adding the two blisters of the Wildcat with Spitfire and Heavy Rocket Launcher it's exactly 200pts and 4 SWC!

Actually that's a very interesting point! Hopefully this is indicative of the style of the new Aguacils..

Yup, I get the intention, and normally it's done quite well on Infinity figures. It's just this particular one that doesn't work for me. It may be the more hunched shoulders and head, but it just looks like more of a relaxed 'Hey there, big boy...' pose than a landing pose.

I really like these guys.

Can't wait to see another campaign book.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Yeh, sorry I wasn't really clear. I think she is definitely posing and that they intended it, I don't think she is meant to be landing, in fact I don't the her predecessors were supposed to be landing either.

I know that's how it's generally taken but to me they all seem like they are posed like any model might be just under the effect of their equipment. So I see them as running, shooting or posing but they barely touch the ground and look pretty much weightless because they are using their kit to aid their normal actions. A good way to imagine what my eyes are seeing is to imagine yourself doing those things on a giant air hockey table. Or maybe imagine being held up by invisible bungee cord...

Of course, whether or not that's appealing comes down to each person. I love the posing/cheesecake models myself, annoyingly there aren't many males posing, a little more gender equality would be nice. I know Kan would have an aneurysm but one of those male Wildcats should definitely be giving the peace sign and slouching.

I think "posing" models are just fine; provided the poses are not ridiculous or they fit the character of the model.

Wildcats aren't going to be flashing peace signs. Most of Corregidor would not be flashing peace signs.
Flipping you the bird? Definitely.

Haha, yeh I'm aware of your feelings by this point! I was kidding you on about the Wildcat but it illustrated my point on gender equality, poses like that are female only at this point. I agree though, the hard frakkers of Corregidor aren't going to be throwing peace signs. They aren't immune to anime posing though which is an Infinity wide aesthetic, the new MySpace pic Alguacil is a prime example. These types of poses are rooted in the style and are always appropriate apart from possibly named characters. Basically, we agree, sorry if I baited you by mistake!

It's taken awhile, but we have the "close up" photos of individuals from the Corregidor starter box now via Angel.

It's a lot of images, so I'm spoilering them.
Spoiler:

I rescind my earlier complaint about the lack of flamethrowers on the guns, as if you look at the combi rifles they now are under the barrel rather than over the top.

I wonder if these will be available before July...
