On the front page the description reads: "The Infinity Artbook One is now listed for PreOrder! We just received the information on this book, coming in Late August. Each book will also come with the Free PreOrder miniature and the Free 10 deluxe Infinity cover prints!"

On the page itself it reads;

In this book you will find out how the concept design process of some of your favorite miniatures was developed. But not only that, would you like to witness the evolution of the Stingray T.A.G. series? Do you want to know how the final design of the Tohaa was reached? Are you asking yourself about what concept designs of Lucien Sforza were rejected? In this book you will get all those answers and even more.

"Infinity. Artbook One" offers 148 pages full of previous sketches, development designs, final artwork and unreleased stuff.

Also, with every book you get 10 deluxe Infinity cover prints. For free!

My assumption is that it will come with the miniature, but it can't hurt to ask Neal I suppose.

The title of the 'item' also is "Infinity: Artbook One w/ PREORDER MINIATURE ~ Late AUG", so, I think so!

Still, as Buzzsaw noted, asking Neal is OK too - he usually answers pretty quickly, but all signs certainly point to "Yes!"

Another pic of Miranda Ashcroft.. whose background sounds rather a lot like the story of Lara Croft from what Carlos was talking about in the video.. !

I wish the pre-order for the book followed the video game pattern of paying 10% or so now, then the final when it is released...

She looks nice I think.. dynamic poses are always going to be a little bit hit or miss, but I'm glad that CB tries them (most of the time). I've already seen one photoshopping version of her pole dancing, took all of 3-4 hours for someone to come up with that

The simple problem is that with many of their "dynamic poses", it comes down to the sculptor having envisioned the model doing something which involves another model.

It is not hard to envision Lara...I mean Miranda in the midst of a duel with Senor Massacre over a bounty that both have sought.
Without the second model though, the dynamic vision is lost.

I liked the revelation that the book cover image features an Oznat, and she looks damn cool too... kinda good to know that all of my female morat figures wont be Zerats

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

To be entirely honest I am hoping for a Mobat vanguard and why not in a few other fields.

Miranda is very 'meh'.

I completely agree. Everything about her is great but the model is just comes across like cold tea. Still, conversion potential, very nice conversion potential.

In other news! The Dakka Painting Challenge: Two Tickets to Paradiso, has moved into the voting stage!

Koni, one of Corvus Belli's employees, confirmed the same thing.

Looks like they learned from the Campaign: Paradiso/Go Go Marlene snafu.

Alright, got my order in. This feels like it'd be too good to pass up and I love artbooks like these. Plus, you know, free figure.

What's old Marlene going for these days anyway? I assume she is extremely common despite the controversy at the time. And what of the other limited editions?

I'll have to get a pre order in this week at my FLGS. I love LE models, even if I never use them.

Do I want to get my own copy of the book or do I just want to steal Barzam's?

I can't make up my mind. I loves me some art books.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I'll say the same I said in the Spanish forum: I want an action figure of Uxía, the closest to the concept, the better. Like a G.I. Joe or something

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Well worth watching the videos on Beasts of War .. amazing how much thought goes into the design process..

A couple of nuggets of info which I found interesting..
- Ariadna are one of the best selling factions. Carlos thought it was because people who were not so into the 'sci-fi' elements of Infinity could find more to relate to (in terms of current military and cultural traditions) with them. Also, their background of being the underdog in the game .
- Uxia McNeil (which is pronounced 'Ooshia' by the way ) is a favourite of the design team, already 2 miniatures released for her including a 3rd one on the way?
- Dog soldiers (+ McCurrough) will feature in the artbook.

Also.. a reminder that apparently the new Art book is going to be officially launched at Gencon this year.

Have you noticed if any of our etailers put this up for preorder yet? I usually buy from Defiant but they only have X-Wing stuff in the preorders section thus far.

I buy all my stuff through my FLGS, so I'll know on Thursday or Saturday, depending on when I drop in.

I think the 3rd miniature is actually a resculpt of the first one. That mini hasn't aged well at all.

Well, me too! I like the character a lot but I haven't bought that mini because I don't like it

Those wulvers made me look at an Ariadna list, which ended up with most of my favourite Ariadna figs.

No. I'm not CB.

I do not think there is anybody who is not "ok" with an Uxia resculpt.

INFINITY WEEK from BoW continues:

Hummmm. No army deals yet?

Unless somebody's heard otherwise I've got the feeling that rather than army deals the 'bonus' to this Infinity week is the celebration and pre-order bonus of an art book that the (Infinity) community has been clamoring for a while... :(

It's still cool. I'd love to see some army deals too, though! ;P

I'm getting that same feeling Scrub. Let's just say that unless they pull something really special later on, this is going to be a big disappointment.

Bear in mind that the "army deals" always tend to break their distribution network and restocks for months afterwards.

They may not be doing them this year simply to avoid such a thing happening again.

Or maybe just at the end of the week? I can't remember what they did last year unfortunately..

It would be a nice conclusion, kind of a 'ok, you've seen all of our factions in detail, now choose the one you like the most'..

Although, TBH I'm kind of hoping they don't do it (entirely selfishly) as I could do without the money going out at present!
