I love the Maghariba Guard one. I was actually trying to figure out what to use as a Maghariba pilot the other day, since I have the TAG on order at my FLGS. That pilot will work nicely. I understand it's meant to be more of a display peice, but it's certainly useable as an ejected pilot.
OK guys and possibly gals come on.Alph has asked several times to cut this type of argument out so let's respect the mods wishes. We all get it some of you hate them and that's OK just don't buy them. Obviously CB feels these are a worthwhile investment otherwise they wouldn't be doing them. How will these bootleg ones be priced do we know? Does CB have some habit of pricing 'specialist models' higher than normal models, or can we expect them to be on par with other models their size? Or is it pure speculation up until the day preorders open up

So far CB prices all there models based on cost to produce. I don't see this being any different. Saying that it look like there will be more metal then the standard range for the same size base, so likely a few bucks more then the stanard range.

Good to hear, means I'm more likely to be able to afford all of these barring scarface and pan-o (since I'm getting the shiny artbook as well).
So it'll be between, say, the SAS CRAP (just a plain bloke) and the Cateran (who has that big-ass ornamental base). Most likely, that is.

Well call me a greedy bastard but I wanted to see some nice deals on infinity week, as it stands all news are fine and nice but it was really a missed chance. A bit of a boring week to be honest.
Bootleg range seems interesting and I find some of the claims that this range will be draining infinity resources etc awkward...
Really... How so? I mean I have been following infinity from almost its beginning when no one talked about it and one thing they are quite consistent with is: new outstanding minis each and every single month to cover most factions.
As for anime females on infinity, who would have ever guessed to see some of those in an anime miniature game hey?

Agreed, though I wonder if CB has gotten Infinity the point that deals like that aren't necessary- there's a large enough group of people playing at clubs around the world that people don't need super army deals to inspire them to get into the game.

Yes.. shame there wasn't the deals that we have had with previous weekends, but I have to say I found the videos immensely interesting - and have really enthused me about the game, so I guess they were successful in that regard!
What else would you have liked to have seen during the week?

I mentioned it before, but their reasoning is that they always end up having to play 'catch up' on their stock chain side after the army deals.
That anaconda TAG looks really cool. I'd probably do a quick head swap as I'm not liking the head but the rest is quite spiffy. Is there a gallery online somewhere showing the inifinity minis in an easy to look at format? The few times I've been to the official infinity website the massive amount of flash animation is incredibly annoying and takes too long.

Just trying to help you, guys, if you have any doubt about the structure of the Artbook.
Now that we have these previews I can easily show you how does the Artbook goes.
Let's iamgine that we are in the Yu Jing chapter:
First double page.
At one side we will find a brief text and a speed painting, these are like the horizontal enviromental paintings from Campaign Paradiso, that kind of image. At the other side we will find a cover.
Then we will get into troops design with the lay out that you have just seen, skteches & designs at one side and the final artwork at the other side, very little text.
This lay out repeats three more times:
And then we get to the final dfesign, this one has a few more pages for sketches and final versions.
This would be the structure of a faction chapter in the book.
Then there will be a few extras at the final pages.
I hope this post would have been useful for all of you.
New Alph would be happy with those Jotum pics! And makes me really want to try and make a Svalarheim-themed Pan-O force, complete with snow bases..

Thanks. It is alot easier now to look through. Before, the animations were just too damn long and you had to watch each one multiple times just to go from one unit to the next. It reminded me of the proliferation of animated gifs in the mid 90's and how they'd clog both the 56k modems and the pentium processors.

My favourite Infinity miniature so far! Not just as it comes but for the conversion possibilities I'm seeing. This is probably my favourite miniature from any company actually but I'll give it some time to sink in on me before I put that in stone. I did squee a little though.
