Do manned TAGs always have the pilot mini-me arms sticking out like that?

I think so!

It wouldn't take much work to leave them off and 'fill in' the gaps if they really bother you though...

Some do some don't. It's usually the older models that don't have the pilot arms.

Not a fan of the swinging sword, it's the one thing that irks me about some of their models. I can understand ninjas and Morats walking around with melee weapons but it's a shooting game. It's weird adding the sword guy just for a dynamic pose.

Ruined the look of Scarface, Reverand Moiras and Hassasin Ragiks for me.

I used to dislike them but then I saw appleseed and saw what the arms look like in action, and now I really like em.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

The vast majority, that means all manned TAGS except Guigia ans Szalamandra have their master arms exposed, the first two have them enclosed (and have a considerable torso radius) as they are more advanced versions.

I was trying to think of which piloted T.A.G.'s didn't have the exposed pilot arms, so thanks PS!

Though I have to ask, what's a "Guigia"?

That anaconda is a thing of beauty. I like everything about it: the high "collar" around the neck, the sword pose, and even the exposed pilot arms. Am I the only one who genuinely prefers them with the arms showing?

As for the missing spitfire, I wonder how it would look with a mech-scale rifle or pistol from Paulson holstered somehow.

Thanks for the replies. The mini me arms aren't neccesarily a deal breaker but I'm definitely not a fan of them either. Luckily, I have about 6 months to make up my mind.

Sorry for that Guijia, the Yu Jing main TAG.

The best thing with master arms is how easily they can be omitted, their fill the attachment hole and make it smooth, or make it an orb and create a round area or fill the peg inside the hole and leave it as a cavity.

Ya Alpha am I able to do a little ninja shopping? I reiterate if I can get more then one I will if not alph gets first dibs as he is a member on my store and that says a lot as I am dreaming of painting one of these.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Then you will love the next rule book, atleast 2 Merc Company lists for sure, and a chance at a few more in that book.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

I think I´ll hate the next book...CB makes me buy too much stuff. When Tohaa came out I started my third army, but the Merc stuff is to sweet not get it...

I must remind myself not to check any Infinity related threads... I still don't play it but I just feel like throwing massive quantities of money at CB for almost all of the miniatures. I can almost hear their voices, asking me to paint them.

So freakin' cool miniatures ><

Easiest way to fix that issue, play it

Seem we hate CB for the same reason. I'm getting tired of cup-of-noddles ever meal .

I own the whole Nomad line plus a ton of mercs and a lot of duplicates. At this point I just consider a Nomad or really cool Merc release as my monthly tithing to the CB gods. It's not really optional at this point to me lol.

Never played but I've certainly invested $100s to date. It's a boon in a way that I don't play, cause I'm not confined to collecting from only certain groups, but again... hundreds of dollars. I believe Tohaa is the only group I don't have anything from right now, but they'll be part of the next buying wave no doubt.

I feel your pain, but another way to look at this is this: if it was other games you were collecting miniatures for, what you've said could easily mean "I've started an army, but still don't have enough miniatures to play."

I can see this not working out quite well if you've collected minis that don't form an army very well, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if after spending "$100s" you already have enough miniatures to put together two teams and play an introductory game with a friend at least.

It really cool, but shouldn't the TAG have a Spitfire somewhere too?

Blame anime!

It is irksome that they did not give it a cool firing pose with the sword sheathed on its shoulder.

Looks like that might be pretty easily addressed. Chop the Spitfire off of the pilot, mount it on the TAG's left fist, pistol-grip (appropriate for how small it will look I think). Bend the arm out slightly, as well as the pilot-arm, to point where the head is looking (and/or reposition the head slightly if it's a separate bit). Voila, sword/pistol-wielding TAG!

There's frankly not a ton of converting in the Infinity world, but if you're good enough to do it (and lots of pre-plastic/Failcast 40K modellers are/were), you can produce some really cool results.

Speaking of which, there's a conversion of the Guijia out there that uses Eldar arm-bitz (Dire Avengers?) to add pilot arms. I'll be making the mod myself once I get mine assembled. Looks -really- cool!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I'm certain I have enough for a Haqqislam force and possibly an Aleph force. I find them all-round to be the most aesthetically pleasing.

The biggest problem, as I guess most of us agree on, is that CBs latest stuff just keeps getting better. These upcoming Bootleg minis will probably be the end of me...

The concept art show the answer to the Spitfire. It is part of the HMG and comes apart when the operator ejects.

Converting Infinity isn't easy - it's fine saying old 40k vets should have the skills, but Infinity models are significantly smaller and more fragile than the bulky heroic scale GW stuff.

Cutting away part of a metal arm on a GW model is easy, because the arms on GW models are as thick as the legs on Infinity models.
