What relation does the name "Konstantinos" have with PsychoticStorm? Is that his real name?

Excellent, now I just need last name, date of birth, and mother's maiden name and I can start taking credit cards out in your name. Though that's pretty cool you've got a model named after you

So which Military Order do you belong to, PsychoticStorm?
And I just noticed, why are all of the women in the Dire Foes line wearing high heels? Anyat, I'm looking at you, especially. I hardly think that high heels are going to be the most effective footwear for a Morat.

Order of the Holy Sepulchre, by far the most badass looking order, it seems.

Also, high heels are there on many models. It's the thing in Infinity.

Equestrian order of the holy sepulchre. Sepulchurists have in my opinion the best background, the best armour design and the best selection of abilities among the military orders, unsurprisingly they are my favorite military order! I really love Yasbirs design, it combines the best elements from all hassassin bahrams design.

The Cat Daktari, amongst others, has proven that high heels are the most effective footwear for a spec-ops soldier. And when coupled with a short skirt and provocative pose improves fighting ability almost 300%

I wish I had gone to that GenCon seminar. I bought the Infinity rulebook a couple years ago but never played. I had a chance to play a demo game at the con, by a very friendly presenter, and ended up buying the art book.
It was pretty cool seeing Angel painted figures in person, although I came away feeling like painting at that level IS achievable. All the pro-painted minis regardless of manufacturer simply weren't as good 'in person'... not sure why but online many miniatures look flawless. Don't get me wrong they're amazing, but not superhuman.
As someone that doesn't even play the game (yet) the artbook is a worthy purchase, simply beautiful images.

And don't forget military cost savings from reducing female standard combat vests to ending at just above the navel!
But yeah, the gender aesthetics in Infinity have always been a bit wonky. Men get normal boots, full armour and bad-ass poses.
Women always get high-heels, some level of boob-plate and may, optionally, have combat-crop-top and/or cheesecake/cutesy non-combat poses. The last two are the only ones that tend to fluctuate from model to model (though combat-crop-top started getting really common lately; or maybe I'm just noticing it more). But I digress.
I'll probably pick up the box with the JSA Spec-Ops in it, but I am selling off Manic McPixie Girl since she will likely hit all of my eye-roll buttons. I'm sure she must have snuck in from the Bootleg line.

Fixed that for you. I'm pretty sure that 95% of Daktari casualties are "friendly".

Haha, yes
For anyone of the newer guys who haven't yet read it, I recommend checking out the comic strip thread on the official forums - this is an example (think the Yasbir chap helped with these, and he and some of the other characters featured at GenCon appear there)

It is only "wonky" if you don't watch anime, becouse you know it's anime designs (such as GitS) that CB used as a base for the Infinity world. Don't like high hells, take it up with Japan.

In a world full of IEDs and Mines it's almost plausible the combat high heel might have a role
it would have a contact patch about 1/3 the size of a traditional combat boot,
so the wearer would be less likely to trip a mine etc
(of course they would be more likely to trip over....)

In Ghost in the Shell, The Major wears combat boots. She never wears high heels. Also, her body is made of armor.

Even that is easily explainable in that her robo-skin is what makes her invisible. Why spend extra resources on TO Camo cloth? Not too much of a stretch even if it is a rationalization. In the movie "Mystery Men" Kel turns invisible in the same way, and "The Invisible Man" is only invisible when he is naked; both are male and not leaning towards sex appeal.
Infinity's Combat-Heel being for protection against mines is the best explanation I've heard, and it's still a ridiculous stretch.

That nitpicking and you know it. I could of list all the anime they could be pulling from, but there is already a thread on it in the off-topic forum "what anime have you recently watched?" thats a good enough list.

The movie was garbage anyway (yeah, you heard me) and the stealth nudity was only invented for the movie. She wore clothing with optical camo built into it in the original comic. And besides, I'd say CB borrows far more heavily from Appleseed than it does from GITS.Hell, the ORC suits are FROM Appleseed. And in Appleseed Deunan never wore heels into battle either.

I actually don't watch nor like Anime. I just know references and have seen GitS. From what I understand, anime is rather varied, and it ranges from decent realism to T&A strippers vs mechs; saying "anime-influenced" is as vague as saying "Bollywood-influenced". Also, I recall that the writer of the comic went into exceptional detail to get the caliber of the firearms accurate and such.
Barzam wrote:And besides, I'd say CB borrows far more heavily from Appleseed than it does from GITS.Hell, the ORC suits are FROM Appleseed. And in Appleseed Deunan never wore heels into battle either.
But the entire Aleph faction takes heavily from GitS, if anything. The large-based remotes have a light Tachikoma look to them, and the Lhost concept is very much like The Major... especially Asuras.

Yeah, I suppose Aleph is fairly GITS influenced. PanO is very heavily influenced by Appleseed. I don't really see the resemblance between the remotes and the 'komas though. Now, the Maghariba on the other hand.....
