Corvus are just pushing all my buttons right now, feeling the vibe again that I got when I first stumbled on them. Good times!

I think this is them at the top of their game and long may it continue. I certainly don't see any drop off on the horizon but at this point I think that starts to become a worry for us fans, 'flying too close to the sun' or 'the bigger they are' or some such thing. Nothing worth worrying about though I don't think, not any time soon.

Top of their game is right. They're honestly addressing all of the fans desires while still holding their own.

People complained about cat Daktari, we got human Daktari as the first functionally identical resculpt that exists alongside the original.

People wanted Wulver Girl, they got two.

People wanted missions beyond the core rules, we got a whole book.

People liked the tournaments, we got ITS-specific miniatures.

People wanted legit Merc lists, we're getting two sectorials.

People wanted loose weapons on sprues, we got them in a financially justifiable SpecOps blisters.

People complained about upside-down Shaolin, we got normal ones.

People loved the Aragoto, we got 1 more and a special character.

On top of all that, we're getting community shout-outs in the form of models with these Dire Foes.

It blows my mind how awesome this company is. The two times I had either a missing piece or a problematic molding, they sent me the pieces all the way from Spain (to the US) free of charge.

Corvus Belli really are at the top of their game and this increase in popularity is totally well-deserved.

Agreed. Not to mention the way they're letting other companies theme terrain to Infinity and even promoting it on their webpage, rather than trying to do it all themselves in a mediocre fashion just so they can lock down and guard their IP like some jealous sultan.

That's actually not a good comparison.

They locked down their forum and the advertising for companies on the forums to make way for "officially licensed Infinity" companies, like Battlefoam or Micro Arts Studio or the new Bandua Wargames.

I don't fault them for having done it but they still did do it.

When were the artbooks supposed to ship again? Has anyone received notification of them going out yet?

Artbooks are supposed to be hitting this week or next.

If you ordered directly from CB you should be getting it earlier, but if you ordered from The Warstore they need to actually get their stock.

As you said it was something that had to be done.

Nope, that was the male Interventor.

Anyway, where are these rumours of a Mobile Brigada resculpt coming from? Sounds like internet echos/wishlisting...

Interesting. But my point was more that Micro Arts Studio or Bandua Wargames have been on the front page of the website. This is far superior to a company that doesn't license their IP to any other miniatures producer and threatens to sue anyone releasing product vaguely resembling their own.

It is an echo from GenCon a year or so ago when it was mentioned that the Corregidor line is being redesigned entirely.

The Mobile Brigada is part of that line, so unless they actually come out and say "No we are not redoing the Mobile Brigada" it is not an unreasonable assumption.

Ah, so nothing specific to the MB.

Infinity O-12 just posted these:

We saw the slides at GenCon but it is nice to see the files that we saw on the actual slides.
I like the new Morat Feuerbach.

Not in so many words.

I'm personally hoping for the MB to get a Feuerbach option as well to add a bit of variety to the possible Link Team.

Out of curiosity, what are the ITS specific models?

Also, the new morat art looks friggin awesome!

I've got so much time for Morats all of a sudden. These are much more appealing to me, I hope they transfer well into miniatures. If they do, I'll be having myself a little group methinks.

Do you mean ITS exclusive? There is a Max Scorpio mini that is only available if you get the Classic tournament pack from the Infinity online store.

Yes me too.. always found the concept of the Morats the most evocative of the CA (kind of like the Jem Hadar from Star Trek: DS9), and these new minis look awesome..

Raktorak is not a single character but rather a rank.

They are essentially what you would get if Alfred were a Morat.

Kornak Gazarot is the character option for the MAF.

Got that one confused with the Morat character - Kornak I think?

@PStorm - Haha, those completely slipped my mind there, they are very promising and I'm sure I'll love them but I'll be completely convinced when we see them 'in the flesh'.

@Pacific - Nice link, I'm not a big trekky but I see where you are coming from. I think the EI aspect of CA is still the most intriguing to me but I love how Morats are all business.

Was at the FLGs gaming and managed to snatch an Artbook when the preorders came in - I gotta say, the mini is not that bad, the artbook is great and the prints are above and beyond of what I expected. Very good purchase

I love the design for Anyat (other than her shoes). I can't wait to get her. While I love the redesigns for the Morats, the only downside is that the previous models really aren't going to look right among them. Their armor felt more organic with lots of curves and segmented plates. The new ones are more high-tech looking with more edges and solid plates. Their weapons don't look quite so alien anymore either.

I really hope that they pose the Sogarat in a braced firing stance with the Feuerbach. I like the design, but the pose of the current one is just kind of bland. I'd like a more actiony version out of this new one.

The good thing is that most of the Morat models since Human Sphere have been done in the more "high tech" look rather than organic, so really the only models which will look out of place are the old Vanguard/Daturazi and possibly the Suryat(which won't look right as heavily armored shock troops when the Vanguard are just as if not more armored. ).
Although part of the organic look is that creamy color that they used for the armor plates, in my opinion.

What does the 'Bootleg' branding mean?

It means that the miniatures included in the range are not intended for playing. They are more like exposition/collectors stuff.

Even if they're not 'meant' for playing, they're still playable. The Mag pilot and Lizard stripper are units that have no non-Bootleg miniatures.

Bootleg line is a line that is intended to have miniatures that would not be released in the main line, it does not mean they are not playable or not intended for playing, but TAG pilots would not see a normal release if not for a themed month, likewise, battle damaged miniatures would not be produced as a normal release, but a themed bootleg release would work for them fine.

There will be some releases like the one of non combat personalities, were they "could not be used for gaming" (other than civilians) but I am sure players will find the inspiration.
