Actually the fluff gives the impression that the armor plating on the Gecko is the light part rather than the size alone.

It could be like the difference between a Sherman and a Tiger--one is cheap, light and built to swarm en masse while the other is a heavy hitter.

I am expecting the size comparison pics to be the real thing, if it was not it they would not have included it.

I really can't wait for them to appear, I have a few lists I would love to field.

Casey - I wouldn't worry about it yet, I'm sure CB wouldn't have released this diagram if it didn't bear a close resemblance to how the finished product will turn out

Yeh the light armouring crossed my mind but it's the size I'm more concerned with.

Yeh, you're probably right Pacific, I hope so. That image would be much more desirable to me so I hope they go in that direction. I'm very interested to see how this fits with the Anaconda/Gecko base concept though.

All Nomads TAGs are lizard series TAGs, Gecko in its description is the smallest of them, while they share the same design philosophy I am expecting them to be of different stature as the diagram shows, which has conveniently been pointed out that is in scale and fits the concept art too.



In any case as I said earlier, there is no way CB would release the size comparison chart if it did not reflect the models.

If Anaconda and Gecko share the same chassis/frame then I would expect the Anaconda to be a reference when making a size comparison. Also it makes me base my speculations regarding the Anaconda's profile in a slightly beefed up Gecko.

What about if someone with the Anaconda post a few size comparison pictures beside other TAGs?
I'm looking at you PS, who have the whole Infinity miniature range. So it would be nice and kind of you if you posted a few pictures comparing your assembled Anaconda with old TAGs like Guijia and Szalamander, new TAGs like Jottums, Dragoes, Oyoroi and Scarface, and small miniatures like Sphinx and the Anathematics, which someone would have expect to be Gecko's size.

If you give me a bit of time, I should have her assembled today or tomorrow, then it would be no problem for that.

There's an idea, some scale shots of the Anaconda might put this to bed since it's the spanner in the works of what the other data is showing. Maybe it's actually quite small and just looks tall.

So question, hopefully I didn't miss it in the hundreds of pages here, but when are the new TAGs slated for release?

Which new TAGs? The Corregidor ones?

The Iguana is rumored to be a September(more like mid to late October for the US) release and the Gecko is to be announced, most likely sometime next year.

Also, the Anaconda should be released to the general public soon.

I think I have one on the way to me already, courtesy of empchild and his Gencon Ninja Shopping!

Has CB ever changed the release schedule based on fan feedback/anticipation? It seems like there is a lot of positive response to the Gecko art and an earlier release than sometime in 2014 would be nice and fit in with the Iguana release. I realize there are reasons to not do it (competes with the lizard for the same nomad player $$$, they said theyre trying not to expand too quickly, etc) but frankly I wantsss mt preciousss...

Most likely not. The Gecko would be 3D sculpted rather than hand sculpted and they at last mention only had one guy who does the 3D sculpting and he actually works outside of the company.

And you're mentioning the Iguana not the Lizard.
Gecko and Iguana=Corregidor.
Lizard=Bakunin.

Personally I do not understand why they went for such similar names for the Bakunin and Corregidor TAGs when they could have gone mythical.

No worries... no offense inferred or taken. Honestly, the above is at least discernable for a new English speaking player whereas I'm finding the vast majority of other unit names to be quite daunting to distinguish/remember. A general knowledge of historical military terms and some greek/latin roots helps occasionally but it feels like the entire product line rolls off the tongue about as easily as a Tau rank roll call.

If it was basecoated/primed then it would be white or grey rather than black as Angel primes Nomad models white/grey depending on what Sectorial/unit the model is from and if he is batchpainting.
