A Ragik sniper would be very disappointing, seeing as I never would use him over the HMG version.

My Bahram list is at the moment including a Ragik sniper, si I'd be happy. But I don't think it is - when I made that guess I thought the PanO model was the Haqq model, and those winglets would have been a dead giveaway for a Ragik.

Not by me!

I've got my one shot in, and despite Bologna's bizarre shout-out in this thread, I'm all set now!

Anyway, aren't we due the full "September" previews by now - or is it coming...today?

Since CB has started parceling out their previews to three blog sites, it has been later and later that we see the full previews.

This is the last full week of September, so I thought it would be early this week, but, technically, they could still showcase them on Monday September 30th, I guess?

But then, no one is buying September's releases in September, and we might as well just call them "October Previews", be done with it, and 'catch up', as it were...

This might be a little OT, but how does he fare? Do you use him because of a tactical reason or because he costs less SWC and points than the staple HMG Ragik?

I can see it working both ways... selling it in September OR previewing it in September are both reasons to call them September Previews.

Some BoW coverage for those that might be interested.

edit:- Lovely models, how easy are the larger Infinity tags to repose? I love the aesthetic and the model itself but the pointing pose just doesn't do it for me!

Except they were always presented as (X) Month's models, for sale in (X) Month.

Okay, that's really cool. But uh, what's the deal with the, er, codpiece?

That's the question isn't it?

From the art book it appears to be a combination of armor plating for the operator(it lines up with the operator's torso when he's seated) and balance.
The massive upper legs as well are armor plating for the operator.

I am now getting a mental image of an Iguana, let's say running along the back of a space train, with it's tail swinging furiously to maintain balance and what I'll diplomatically call it's front tail swinging furiously in counter-action to the tail. And dainty civilized passengers on the train fainting from the scandal.

What would be even better would be if there was a jump-jet on the underside of that thing.

Totally true. It's even one of the few non-firing poses I find to be awesome.

I do wonder if I could dump the slave arms and keep a good look on the Iguana.

You absolutely could - and I think you could dump the massive codpiece as well, and seriously improve the overall look too.

Perhaps the entirety of the population of New Guinea joined the Nomad nations and the tradition of *ahem* crotch gourds continued into the future TAG era?

Either way, it's a quick and easy fix to just circumcise under the first armor plate to get a more traditional robot codpiece.

Right. Now that the codpiece shenanigans are (hopefully) finished--or left over at the official Infinity forums...

Three more releases to be seen for September!
Ariadna--Caledonian Mormaer with HMG(according to Infinity O-12)
PanOceania and Haqqislam releases that Angel previewed.

And here I thought Anaconda would be my first TAG.

Oh well, it's definitely time I started a TAG list. Got the Odalisques primed and ready to paint as well.

To be fair, the Iguana is hitting general release first.

Just pray that ribbing posters with joke versions of yet unreleased minis stays the photo meme here and not mecha-codpieces.

I have to say that the little guy (I assume heavy infantry.. probably the dismounted pilot?) next to the Iguana is a nice mini as well. Does he automatically survive the destruction of the TAG and dismount?

Yes, he is the pilot, and yes, he is armed with a HMG!

As for whether or not he auto ejects...it all depends!

http://infinitythegame.wikispot.org/Ejection_System

If he survives, he's still a serious threat, unlike most pilots who are only armed with pistols.

Of course, he also continues to contribute to the order pool too!

Example: Sergeant Anita Méndez, in her active turn and commanding her Iguana T.A.G. is facing an Ariadnan combat group, composed of a Veteran Kazak with AP Rifle, a Scout with an Ojótnik, and a TankHunter with his Autocannon. The dice are not favourable to sergeant Méndez, who only manages to take down the TankHunter, receiving a Critical hit from the Veteran Kazak and an impact from the Scout, failing the ARM Roll. So, the Iguana has lost 2 STR points, activating its Ejection System at the end of the Order. Anita must make a PH Roll to see if her player can choose the landing point. She rolls a 14 - with PH 12, this is a failure and means her Dispersion is 8 inches towards the number 4 indicated by the Template. If she succeeded at the roll, she could have chosen the landing point inside the 8 inch radius. It seems this is not a good day for Anita, but she still has her HMG and can keep fighting.

Let’s suppose Anita had not succeeded against the TankHunter, and had failed two of the three ARM Rolls the Explosive Special Ammunition of the Autocannon causes. Then, her Iguana would have lost 2 STR points (from the Critical hit and the impact of the Scout) and she would suffer two Wounds (from the Autocannon), rolled against the ARM value of the T.A.G. In such a case, the Ejection System of her Iguana still activates, launching an Unconscious Anita 8 inches, hopefully in the direction of a nearby Doctor. If sergeant Anita had failed all three ARM Rolls caused by the Autocannon’s hits, then her dead body would be launched 8 inches.
