I'm not a fan of the one legged poses. They seem like they'd be more likely to break or get bent. Otherwise, I like the looks of that blurry blob. Is the Aleph guy wielding a melee weapon? Obviously hard to tell, but it looks to me almost like he's holding a pistol or doing a Solid Snake style CQC pose.

Every Tohaa release bar the starter has made me want to start them. Especially the Gao Rael and Gao Tarsos.

The starter is mostly just marred by the Kamael which are fairly plain.

Very nice! Love the light-sourcing effect on the Aleph guy.

I wonder how long it will be now for the previous month's units to go on sale?

DAAAMN I like Trasimedes! Now sell him already CB!!!
The Gao Tarsos is one of my favorite Tohaa sculpts to date. If I played Tohaa I might get rid of the skirt, but that's just me.

The one legged poses actually lend themselves fairly well to minor conversions or additions.

For my own Hellcats I'm using Secret Weapon 'Blasted Wetlands' bases and they go great with the Hellcats when you take the time to pose them as though they're adjusting their landing for debris on the field.

Loving the Gao Tarsos. He's dynamic, bulky, and looks like he's about to lay into someone with his HMG.

Cinematicy!

More clear and exciting.

I'm iffy on Trasimedes. I like the model. I like the colors(they're still ALEPH colors but with an emphasis on the 'dark' colors instead of the clean white).
I'm not too impressed by the SMG though. For what is described as a compact weapon, that thing is huge.

The Aleph model as a whole is odd. Aside from the trademark Steel Phalanx "I am a character" melee weapon, there isn't anything that screams Aleph.

The SMG is enormous and boxy unlike many Aleph weapons. It's even thicker than the rocket launchers. Speaking of which, I still think he should have had a rocket launcher. It's not like an SMG fits with any Myrmidon profiles anyways; may as well go all the way and give him what he flavorfully deserves.

His pants scream Yu Jing poofy Japanese Sectorial pants.

Regardless, great models. I'm nitpicking.

To be fair, the SpecOps profile for ALEPH uses Thorakitai as the base not Myrmidons.

And for good reason. The sheer amount of cheese I can imagine with Spec-ops with base ODD is chilling.

Hey look, I was right, he is doing a Solid Snake style CQC pose. I thought it looked like he had a firearm and a blade. I don't really care for the model though. His armor just doesn't look as neat as the usual fare for Aleph. He does look very Yu-Jing. Maybe he's an adviser for them?

Well, remember that there is some cross-over between the factions.

I will say his pose is a little less extroverted than a lot of the other Greek heroes we have seen, perhaps that's why he looks a little out of place?

I dream of Bipandra. The final reveals of this month can't happen soon enough. Wake me up when October ends !

Both models look nice to me, though the Tohaa AD looks nicer.

No offense, but that's nonsense. He is composed of standard Aleph elements. The arms are plain Thorakites with a slight variation on his right wrist. Pants are basically Thorakitai pants with a less wrinkly more flowing outside material, the inlay is the same. Backpack is also 1:1 Thorakitai. Most other elements are also from the Aleph designs, but slightly simplified and thus more flowing and elegant. A different sculptor I guess.

The SMG is enormous and boxy unlike many Aleph weapons. It's even thicker than the rocket launchers.

Spoiler:

What are you looking at? No way that is thicker than a rocket launcher. I admit it looks quite high, but I guess that's because it's a stubnosed combirifle with the magazine in the middle.

Speaking of which, I still think he should have had a rocket launcher. It's not like an SMG fits with any Myrmidon profiles anyways; may as well go all the way and give him what he flavorfully deserves.

It's a crossover. They are giving tribute to the creative community by calling him Thrasymedes, but he is not a Myrmidon at all. (Plus we already have a Myrmidon rocketeer) He's a Chandra, that is based on a Thorakites, who have SMGs in some versions. Being a Chandra his design should be a medley of elements from the whole faction, just like the other chandra has.

His pants scream Yu Jing poofy Japanese Sectorial pants.

A little bit yes, but all Thorakitai have voluminous pants, it's just that his pose emphasizes on it and that the sculptor didn't go all wrinkly this time.

Yeah I'm... I'm not understanding the complaints about Trasimedes. While he doesn't look exactly like a standard Aleph Thoratikai, that's because he's a Spec Ops. They've all been based on a unit type but had changes made to make them unique. While giving him a missile launcher would have been fun, Spec Ops thus far have avoided big optional weapons like that, opting for more basic equipped loadouts with special weapons on weapon sprues. I think expecting him to be standard equipped with a missile launcher based on previous Spec Ops, regardless of the source material, was a bit misguided.

He looks pretty awesome, and gives me hope for Yasbir.

I think my problem is the head more than anything. I don't like the long hair and he seems like he ought to be looking to his right, but he isn't. If he has a helmet, I might like him more. Overall though, he just feels kind of plain.

He'll probably come with a Thoratikai style helmet as an alternate head, since Spec Ops have so far all had alternate helmeted heads.

Corax did not come with an alternate head.

I get what Absolutionis is saying. The rest of the factions, their SpecOps look like a nice balance of the units in at least one Sectorial.
You have the Vortex, who would be right at home in a Corregidor or Bakunin force. The Indigo who would be at home in a ASA or NCA force, Husam in a QK force, etc. The only real exception at the moment are the Morat and Shasvastii SpecOps, who incorporate different elements of different units from within their Sectorials. The Corax has the Noctifier's segmented cloak and the Cadmus styled armor plating. The Treitak has a Sogarat's chest armor with Daturazi pants and axe.

But then you have the Chandra and now Trasimedes. The elements that should be tying them to the Thorakitai aren't there or are so heavily minimized that they might as well not be there. The visual balancing is off-kilter.

Abso is right about the SMG(what is described as a 'compact weapon' supposed to bridge the gap between assault pistols and combi rifles) being bulkier than a rocket launcher though. Compare it to the Thorakitai with Light Rocket Launcher or even Phoenix and the Agema Marksman. That SMG is huge comparatively.

Chandra seems to actually be wearing the uniform of the Aleph biker unit. I can kind of see the Thorakitai body armor in that side view, but it's completely obscured in the head on shot.

There is no biker unit. Penthesilea is a one-off character.

Not trying to jump on you or pull a "Nope, you're wrong!". Just pointing out that CB made it explicit early on that Penthesilea is not a unit leader or anything. Right now she is a one-off, an oddity.

For those of us who play Yu Jing and who have issues with the Togan mini, Trasimedes will make great conversion fodder. Just chop a tabi toe in the pants, mod the gun, and sculpt on a facemask- done!

The Gao-Tarsos looks great. I'd actually love to see someone convert him with even a bit more height, touching down on something. Another hit for the Tohaa- the minis for that force are really shaping up nicely.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Eh, she's still wearing the same uniform. And you knew who I meant. I just couldn't remember her name.

See above. I'm very curious to see comparison shots showing how this SMG that actually is a combi rifle with a shortened body is supposed to be bigger than the various launchers. Again I'm not aiming to offend, but as a matter of fact it is utter nonsense.
The Chandra does what it is supposed to do, combine various elements from different models of the faction. Here, just for anybody who can't help but stay ignorant:
