But then you have the Chandra and now Trasimedes. The elements that should be tying them to the Thorakitai aren't there or are so heavily minimized that they might as well not be there. The visual balancing is off-kilter.
Abso is right about the SMG(what is described as a 'compact weapon' supposed to bridge the gap between assault pistols and combi rifles) being bulkier than a rocket launcher though. Compare it to the Thorakitai with Light Rocket Launcher or even Phoenix and the Agema Marksman. That SMG is huge comparatively.

See above. I'm very curious to see comparison shots showing how this SMG that actually is a combi rifle with a shortened body is supposed to be bigger than the various launchers. Again I'm not aiming to offend, but as a matter of fact it is utter nonsense.

Considering how the SMG is bigger than a combi rifle(going off of visual perception for the time being), that's a bit questionable to start with.
"Bulkier" is not the same thing as "bigger", mind you. The SMG isn't as long as a LRL, but when you compare the two the SMG seems to have a lot more heft to it. It shares a lot of characteristics with some of the larger Chain Rifles.

I plan on getting Lupe and Trasimedes so I'll be sure to do some kind of comparison shot when I get them in hand. If you want to continue this discussion via PM or something, I'll be glad to but I think we need to stay a bit more on point. I know Alpharius appreciates it.

Nah, it's all good. Looking at the picture I consider the matter closed. Let's agree to disagree. I'm either not getting the point you're trying to make, or you just don't see what I see. As I see it apart from height the SMG is smaller than the other guns in every dimesion and that's not what I'd consider "bulkier".

Got to agree with Baiyuan. The 'SMG' is taller than a combi rifle, but it's shorter and thinner. It's not bulkier at all, it just looks it from one angle (the angle of the shot lonked last page). It's not bigger than a combi rifle in total mass, nor is it bigger than, as claimed, a missile launcher by any stretch.

I get that sometimes you guys don't like a model, which is fine, but the extent you guys bitch at times baffles me.

Well.. I suppose up to this point it is an 'observation', and discussion about it - personally it doesn't bother me in the slightest, and think it's great that this is the biggest (or smallest! ) thing to find a negative regarding.

He hasn't got his feet round the wrong way, for instance

Something female? Angel and his teasing. Did he ever even reveal the last few that he teased?

That's quite interesting, what could the base accessory be? Isobel's hacking device maybe?

Judging by the fact he was painting the Gui Feng as well I'd support this interpretation.

But doesn't the base look like the paste he uses on CA bases just unpainted?
That might also explain the phalloform white shape on the base, maybe one of those plant things the CA bases got.
So my guess is female Treitak.

With armor like that? I doubt it. The guy on the left might be a Haqqislam unit since it looks like he may have that odd bit of cloth over his abdomen. That one on the right though, he looks to me more like he has the segmented body armor the Yu Jing Celestial Guards wear. It looks like he's probably carrying a rocket launcher, too.

Very nice.
After the last Angel tease, I was about to comment on how we never seem to see sculpting WIPs.

Is this the latest Tohaa model previewed/released? I see it available from the Warstore and Miniature Market, but I don't see anything newer than it for Tohaa on the Warstore's preorder page.

Spoiler:

Just bought some Tohaa with the proceeds of some sales... so just wondering if there's anything coming soon that I missed . Especially since someone had mentioned they generally release in the US in the middle of the month, and I thought the above was September's release. Clarify if I'm wrong, etc!

I think those are indeed September releases, they are already available in Spain (I say Spain particularly because I know overseas it usually takes a few extra weeks). The preview for October is the HMG Gao Tarsos IIRC. But well, October wave means November on sale and maybe even December for you guys? :S

Wow, thank you ErasoketaMade that's exactly what I was looking for! Can't wait, will definitely pick that up when it hits.

Is there an official outlet for the previews? I usually just troll this thread, but they tend to get buried here pretty quickly.

Corvus Belli parcels out their previews for the most part. MiniWargaming, Infinity O-12, and Beasts of War get one thing each to preview and then the remainder are 'surprises'.

Your best bet is to follow Angel Giraldez on Facebook, as once a preview hits anywhere he posts the detailed shots of the finished product.

Also, the front page of the official website shows the latest miniatures to have been officially previewed. Usually Beasts of War or somewhere similar will get pics a short while before hand, Angel Giraldez's LifeInvader page, or this very thread usually a few moments afterwards

Iguana still not for sale at the time of writing..

They do not update the official website until after Angel has posted his photos and their Facebook page has done the same. Usually there is two days(sometimes four if the photos go onto FB on Friday) between Facebook and Angel posting before the site gets updated.

It can take about a month from the time of posting to the models actually being general release.

That's a display of some stuff that Angel painted up and will be on display at an upcoming event.

Looks like something Yu Jing(base is textured grey sand, assuming that it is finished being painted) that is blocked out...and it's definitely a strange shape/size.

Probably nothing new (maybe not even Infinity), but I don't recognize it.

Superheavy Infantry for Yu Jing maybe? It seems to be bigger than a normal figure, but too small to be a full sized TAG. Maybe something like the Gecko? And is it just me, or does the Anaconda look kind of small?

Also, what is that in the background? Is that a space marine or something from Infinity?

Looks like a Space Marine, actually...

Looks like the special edition space marine standing on half Aquila.

I am quite interested on the not so obvious white blob above Jotumn.

The blob above Jotum doesn't seem to be on a base.

Btw there is another small blob above the Anaconda as well.

Maybe it is just Angel messing with us.

I don't need it the day it hits, I just want to know somewhere to check and see "What's been previewed recently?"

So... do you mean this page, as I don't see any previews?
