I like the artbook although I agree it could have used more variety.

As for the Dire Foes - 30 Euros is pretty expensive, they'll really have to provide interesting contents for me to think about buying Yasbir or the Hatail box.

Bipandra and Konstantinos will definitely be on on my purchase list. I love the idea of having a character that is either a doctor or religious engineer.

I must say though, at that price point I'll be rethinking my plan of getting them all right away just for funsies, since I'm not sure the scenario and extra content will justify the price of a third, fourth or fifth pack. So I'll be getting my Trasimedes and Hasht anyway, but I'll have to wait and see for the rest.

It's well worth it. Admittedly it could have been even better (more insight into the design process and just more artworks), but I still think it's great. I leaf through it regularly and it always inspires me in one way or another.
It's also great if there are units in the book that you have to paint yet. You can copy the black and white dossiers and color in the copies with your actual paints. Great for more complex color concepts.

I was only going to grab the sets that correspond to my factions and the Space Daenerys set anyway. But it's good to know it's more than a simple one page scenario PDF, an art print and a few models.

Definitely, worth it just for the artwork but it's really cool the insight it shares about the design process and you realise the amount of work that has gone into it. If anything, I've found my appreciation of what CB is doing with this game has grown after reading it.

Are they likely to do a full set of models for the 1st and 2nd? What would that be, seven models if you don't count the Lt. As a seperate option?

I was hoping for that as well, would be really cool as a themed force.

If they released some of them without their ponchos, that would be a super sexy trooper.

I can't see anywhere this is mentioned in the recent discussion (probably just my dodgy reading skills) but are the Dire Foes limited release? Or will they be available indefinitely.

That would be completely counterproductive, I can't see a reason why they would be limited. Also there was no mention of it and that makes it even less likely.

I don't think there has been any report of them being Ltd Edition. Certainly, it would be a break from Corvus Belli's methods if they were (don't think there have been any LE miniatures released so far?)

From what I recall, there was talk about doing a boxed set for 1st Battalion(which is Linkable) and then blisters for 2nd.

I'm a bit late to the thread, but you're thinking of the ALEPH Posthuman box (EDIT - who is sitting on the wall in a different pose). The Securitate definitely doesn't include a wall.

IIRC Bostria and/or Interruptor said they will be doing separate models for both Scots Guards battalions. Maybe in their BoW chat during the last Infinity Week? And on the Dire Foes being a limited release, I haven't read anything confirming it or denying it, so my guess is they are not limited, just a normal release.

Ohhh...I can hardly wait for the Morat Aggression force! I am sure that the Morats will look as good as the renders which will make me quite happy!
