I think we would have heard about them before now - and I thought we heard that there were no more Dire Foes for a while now?

Possibly, but we haven't heard about them doing any more Dire Foes, as each spec op type has been covered - twice for PanO.

They could also be bootlegs, but we haven't heard of more bootlegs, and the first bootleg line took a whole month.

I don't think that it is the releases themselves for April that will involve AW, but rather the 'Big News!' we'll see announced on April 27th and 28th.

Bootlegs and Dire Foes would have been announced before now though definitely.

Regarding what might be coming, I'd be super happy with a Sakiel LRL blister. Or a Clipsos sniper. Those are pretty much what's left on my want list for my Tohaa.

Well thats only if they are counting repacks and not only new models.

IIRC when the news came from Bostia, I recall a comment that he only counts new models when he says how many are coming. So Apparently there's no repacks in this 12 models.

So that leaves 11 models, 1 more blister and 3 boxes and no TAG. So if the last blister is another single, that leaves 10 models for 3 boxes, and no TAG. My Guess is a 4 model box and 2 3 model boxes, since 2 model boxes are generally remotes or larger models like bikes, and I don't know of any of those incoming aside from Kum bikers, but those are apparently quite far off. 3 model boxes are rare too, but do happen.

Wait, what if I'm reading what you wrote right "only counts new models when he says how many are coming" then he wouldn't count models repack with new models. So there could be more then just the 12 new models.

Think indoor fighting rules might well be on the cards after that photo from a page or two back.

According to Angel, they're 55mm bases.

That coloration however is what the Druze Shock Troops, Scarface, and the Bootleg Scarface looked like before the bases were finished.

I did find the base extensions a little irritating at times.

And my Maghariba Guard STILL doesn't have a base, because it is the most awkwardly sized model ever. Besides, eff it, it's a five pound metal six legged crabthing, I don't need a base for it. Plunk! Right on the table.

Besides, if I put it on a base it wouldn't FIT on half the Infinity boards.

Interesting. Potentially 2 merc releases in a month, one of which looks like a 2 model remote pack? The big news could be a merc sectorial, complete with a starter.

I don't know if this is new or not, but I just noticed that the Infinity Army list site does not have the Mercs as an option for list building anymore.

I don't know how long its been that way, but there is no Mercs list there right now.

One issue is that remember while "Mercs" are becoming a faction...we're still going to see two(potentially three) distinctive Sectorials. We're going to see the White Stars(Scarface, Druze, and Valerya Gromoz) and Beyhan Resources (Kaplan Tactical Services is all we know so far).

Mercs have been gone from the Army Builder for over a year now. The reasoning is that the Mercs "list" was not really for an actual army. It was just a collection of basically whatever you wanted to throw together.

We also know CB will change their minds if they have a new idea, and we also know they will not always stick to established conventions with new factions. Look at Tohaa - they're basically a sectorial already with their Fireteam Tohaa rule. Steel Phalanx links are very different to normal links as well We might see them ditch the idea of a vanilla Mercenary faction, and just do the sectorials they were planning.

Indeed, one having a doctor and a paramedic skill, with 0.5 SWC to boot. Just to mention it, because it slipped out of your mind, combined army also received two dire foes.

I didn't mention Combined because combined actually have 2 different spec ops units - Treitak for Morat and Corax for Shasvastii. There's no basic Combined Army spec op. PanO has their Indigo spec op, but CB gave them two Indigos with Dire Foes. That's why I mentioned it.

Oh man, I sure am. The Jap bikes look great! And the ALEPH one is really cool.

I'm less of a fan of the Kum bikers... but I have a solution to that coming reeeeally soon. Muwahaha.

I am definitely enjoying the rumor that the USAriandna forces are going to have dirt bikes or ATVs or something, and I am going to continue spreading that filthy lie in the hope it someday comes true.

It's not a rumor, it's something that CB themselves put forth as part of their "goal" for Russia and USAriadna..
