Yup. Not a whole lot about it screams Aleph aside from the paint job which is obviously easy to change, so I'll definitely be grabbing one to add to my Kum gang.

As far as I'm aware she's a pre-release available at GenCon and at the same time via the Corvus Belli web store, then going on general release later in the year. Going by previous years' pre-releases, presumably in December.

Kum are in one of the unreleased sectorials, so not QK or Hassassin, but I dunno which one. Not El Medinat or what're be it is.

I love the look of the Brigada. He looks massive, like a proper HI. I can see myself getting a few of them once they're available outside of this boxed set. I'm kind of hoping that when they do release them though, that the shotgun profile is the one that gets the blister release rather than the HMG.

That HI just screams 'Appleseed', although is arguably a cooler design. I absolutely love it.

Really torn on the new Penthouse. On the one hand, my initial impression is that it isn't as good as the original. But, that was an absolutely stupendous mini, one of my favourites of all time. This one is certainly.. different, it's a lot busier that's for sure, and still a truly exceptional sculpt.

I will spend some more time looking at it before delivering my critique

I definitely dig the new design for the Brigada, though I'm hoping it still keeps the weird tube/dreadlock thingies on the back of the helmet. The Spektrs are BA. But I think the winner so far is that black helmeted chap. There's something about his design I just really like. I can't wait to see what the model looks like.

More N3 rules rumors are popping up. ToadChild posted these on our group's private forum, I been able to check the ITG page linked here because their database is down (as solkan mentions). THAT's probably what killed it...

from what i remember it becomes a "suprise shot"
shooting will be face to face but have a -3 to hit. Sounds weaker but prevents revealing from camo, not doing any damage then being
killed by an unopposed reaction shot. Means revealing from cover would give a -9 to peoples response shots, can get to -12 if you get range advantage.

Cannot remember if this stacks with a -3 from camo.

Also all modifiers are possibly being capped at +12 and -12

Snipers

getting a range reduction - maximum range is dropped by 8" to 96".
(However, this can still cover all of a 6' by 4', and the penalty for maximum range is dropped to -3)

The +3 range band is now 32" long (8" longer) and it starts slightly further out, at 16". It is, however, now the Long range band, not the medium range band.

Short range takes a -3 penalty, Medium range a flat 0. Given the earlier statement about range bands seeming to standardise to multiples of 8", I'm sure you can make an educated guess about where these start and end.

The Loss of Lieutenant rules are way better. I am dubious about the others. And no changes to HMG listed, but they messed with sniper rifles... WTF? I guess the longer range is good, btu the losses at short range blow.

It's been in "safe mode" for almost a month now.

The forum software they use is...spotty at best.

BTS 9 is insane on those. It makes sense in terms of defense against hacking, but I don't see why it should offer the same defense against me shooting Ultra-Acid-Flu-Rounds into their face.

I also like the LoL rules. That seems like an improvement.

Wow, agree that is a big one!

Guess we will see more bad-ass Lts now that it will be harder to hide the Lt in amongst other line infantry.

And, sounds like a good plan with the range standardisation. I use a range band sheet thing (handily downloadable from IJW's Wargaming Trader website) but think that will definitely help with new players coming into the game.

All the info is from the Quick Start Rules and not a full copy at that. So weapons and skills and equipment are likely limited to just what they need to play the new Starter Box. No HMG in starter set, no need for it in the Quick Start Rules.

I really like the now artwork though. It's much more realistic and less cartoonish. It's nice how colours fade over distance. I hope that's the direction for all artworks and we will see more pieces like that in the new rulebook as well.

BTS 9 is insane on those. It makes sense in terms of defense against hacking, but I don't see why it should offer the same defense against me shooting Ultra-Acid-Flu-Rounds into their face.

Since viral is quite potent weapon if not litle too potent IMO, ONE mini in whole army(without tags) that is better resistant to that dosnt make much diffrence. Sky is not falling.

Look man, nipple protection is a very serious affair. We all need to be more alert about nipple protection.
