Ahh i misinterpreted what was meant by ''pewpew pointing'', nevermind then.

Beasts of War have said they have a 'big surprise' reveal today, and by that they mean Operation Icestorm. So, possibly pics of the contents coming today? (Is that too much to hope for?!)

yeah I felt I should be a bit more civil, don't need to mirror what is going on over at CBs forums.

I used to be extremely disappointed with Operation Icestorm because they decline to start using styrene for it, but now you get also those extras with it I guess it's a great pack.

It has nothing to do with them "treating news delivery" or any such nonsense.

Corvus Belli apparently gave them a time to release it. BoW has not met it.

But hey that's what happens when you let a bunch of third parties control your entire marketing strategy.

Yeah, i like what I see, too. A good starter imho. Might get one after all for the terrain and two of those boxes gives you enough for a decent table.

Mildly puzzled,

everybody keeps asking for diagonal roads for infinity boards in all the mat threads,

but here we have an official (if paper) mat and it has straight roads (with buildings used to block fire lanes)

EDIT: genuinely puzzled as I had begun to think diagonal roads might be in the Infinity rules

As they say on the internet, pics or it didn't happen. All I see is a message from CB saying it will be today, and a bunch of people whining because they configured their anticipation wave to peak at a very specific interpretation of when 'today' is and since they peaked too soon, their excitement has been dashed upon the shores of angsty impatience. Or.. something.

I'll be disappointed if BoW come up with some excuse about how it crashed half way through the upload and they had to start again etc.. real "dog ate my homework" stuff. But I'm in the same timezone as BoW and for me it's still very much today.

Well, you could take a peek at CB's Facebook page or Twitter where they keep posting about increasingly blatant posts that reference the fact that "still no Icestorm".

The video for Icestorm? It's been filmed for weeks now. It just would have needed to be enabled/uploaded.

I know, which is why I will have a pouty face if BoW come up with an excuse like that. It should be sitting on their servers now, renamed to "WarrernsHolidayPhotos.zip" and just waiting for Justin to rename it

Any word on what that terrain is made of? I'm guessing it's just cardstock but can't be sure.

It's mostly because straight roads tend to create fire lanes that Snipers/HMGs dominate. Get your guy there first and you've essentially zoned out a large section of the board.

Diagonals alleviate that problem by these fire lanes not being across the entire map. Crashed cars and various street debris also works.
