Yes. It's like how the "Hellcats" are formally called "Immediate Deployment and Interdiction Regiment" but nicknamed "Hellcats".

Just a quick question, did Carlos mentioned somthing about changes to TO cammo on BoW vid?

Cuz I remember Spectra deployed jus as cammo marker instead of TO.

Every Nomad kid want to be a Tomcat when they grow up.

Only way to be sure.

I'm thinking that the renders and concept art we saw from Inter-planetary are going to be the August releases.
-Yojimbo (DO want), currently being painted by the Master
-Janissary HMG (Do want that one too)
-Dog Warriors
-Kotail
and Trauma Doc? (in blister? or what?)

Argh, can someone link me to where the Kotail render (which was photographed from a presentation as an event) is shown? I think a friend emailed me a link, it's dual-wielding guns and has two head options.

This model, but as a render, not art:

Nope, he didn't. I guess that was just a simplification for O:I.

Can't you deploy as a marker or in hidden deployment with TO?

All indications say you can, as shown on the video were Bostria shows snippets of rules from 3rd edition.

Yes, it's a levelled skill. It can deploy as per TO camo or and prior level of camo.

I thought so. So does that explain the camo token int the BoW video?

Not exactly.

It focuses on Infiltration not camo, but we get two information for camo, TO camo still have hidden deployment and that infiltrating over the half table line will stop hidden deployment because there is a roll involved (TO camo counter is still placed).

I think you might have him confused with the Janissary.

It is likely the same reason you can't use infiltration to pass the middle line. Just making it simple for the starter rules.

Can't wait to see all the option in the full rules, but it will be a while.

My guess as well. I don't remember any Kotails without a hood. I can see who it would be confused with the Jannisary. Similar angular armour style, plain grey renders.

Consider that infiltrating without a marker past the center line requires you to make a roll for success, and consider everything wrong with that situation.

I hope that the Kotail gets some kind of ridiculous bonus for dual wielding combi rifles. Double the burst maybe?

Now it seems if you deploy past the center line with TO, you must deploy as a TO marker.

All dual wielding of the same weapon get +1B.

That new Invincible is one of the nicest miniatures I've seen, for any game. I love how crisp they're getting.

How are they likely to be sold? As a unit, or single miniatures?

If they're following the line infantry trend (while Heavy Infantry, they're apparently the sectorials line infantry), most likely 3 with rifles in the Invincible Army starter. After that, probably another blister or two of special weapons. If they released the HMG separately in its own blister, then they're probably not expecting enough models to fill out a full special weapons box.

In my group (Seattle), we ask our opponents to leave the table for a sec when we're deploying TO. While they're gone we have someone else witness the rolls, like an onlooker or a player at another minis table if you're in a shop. At home, you're just on your honor.

Having the other player leave also lets us place our TO unit in the desired place, then we take a cellphone pic. When it comes time to emerge from TO, we show the opponent the pic and we plop down our marker or mini.

Bear in mind that there's no rules support for the die roll to be hidden when infiltrating over the halfway line.

So this new edition I keep hearing about. Will the current books still be useful like human sphere, paradiso, other than as collectables? Or will new books have all new stats for units?

the Mothership...

It only replaces the v2 book and nothing else. If you use link teams and sectorials, you'll still be using those other books. The Icestorm box also comes with only a select portion of the rules for beginners and not the whole shebang.

Sort of. Supposedly the 3rd edition 'only replaces the core rulebook'. By which we presume there're no updated link team rules and the full fluff+profiles on the units from Human Sphere and Campaign Paradiso won't be included. However, it is pretty certain that updated points costs, and potentially rebalanced weapons/loadouts will be put into the game (covering those units as well) via the online army builder/downloadable army lists.

To explain why, a part of the new rules, as well as expanding/fixing certain areas, is changing the weapon profiles and costs - an updated range chart for the game's basic weapons has already been shown, sniper rifles are known to be getting cheaper etc. Certain profile changes also seem on the cards - HI will be moving to 4-4 MOV, close combat weapons will work differently. So CB may leave the other books in production and leave the link team and campaign rules untouched, but they need to update all the unit profiles.

TL;DR: The new core book may not contain the stats for all units, but the stats will all be updated online.

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Corregidor 700 pts
Acontecimento 400 pts

I guess they aren't too bad at €48, even if that is half the cost of an O:I box. Antipodes, awaaaaay!

I figure the N3 rulebook will probably incorporate all the updated skills from each book. If it's been changed, it would be in their best interest to update all the skills in one place to keep people from swapping between multiple sources in books and online.

I guess we'll see in a couple of months.
