Simply put, I think you're wrong.

There are plenty of people in every Wargaming community that don't use any forums, and especially don't sign up for the forum of every game they may play.

I can tell you right now that their forum situation had absolutely zero impact on how much infinity product was purchased from us at GenCon, and I can also tell you that not a single person whom I helped pick out an army asked, "dur, is there some official online forum I can go to."

I think some folks, because we have active conversations here, forget that the number of people that don't have any interest in using an online forum typically outweighs the number of "regular contributors" on any given web forum.

Oh please. They don't have to be Google, they just have to actually be willing to spend the money on a more stable forum system.

In any case the short answer is forum stability will take some time because there is a plethora of things that need to be done in the background.

it's indeed Kornak. Since the cat is out of the bag, I can confirm that it's indeed Kornak as I've seen the molds during my vist at Corvus' HQ

Kornak is an albino, so I would hope that he is pale.

I just realised this Kornak guy is a character from the Campaign: Paradiso book. I was thinking it was a new N3 profile and I was confused because a lot of people seemed to know about him

Images from Gencon showed how awesome the new Dog Warriors are going to look, now mayacast has more great quality images to show them off. It’s safe to say that I think these look fantastic! I think the new Antipode style face gives them a clearly were-wolf look, but also has a hint of something alien about it.

What I really like about the the Dog Warriors is how they fit next to the Antipode. Side by side you can see how the Dog Warriors has more human characteristics. In particular the torso in far more human than the wolf like Antipode torso. The Dog Warrior is also far bulkier which gives some credit to it having more wounds, although I don’t see why it has armor value of 3!

Before you can use your Dog Warrior, you need a Dog Face. I think these are nice model, although nothing as outstanding as the Dog warriors themselves. I do like the attention to detail, with the Dog Faces clearly having the same weapons as the Dog Warrior. In addition the scare on one of the Dog Face is also on the corresponding Dog Warrior.

With these cool models, Ariadna are looking more and more likely to be my next army!

I wish we could get these swanky exclusives here too, at Dakka Dakka, the world's largest SF/F miniature wargaming website!

This is why I love the Infinity miniature line, there is just so much attention to detail in the concepts. Even if the execution doesn't always work 100%, you can tell so much thought and effort has gone into it.

As to your other point Alpharius, I wonder if it might be worth while contacting CB about something like that? The new sub-forum section (which is now second only to GW and PP in terms of scroll distance from top of page) you would think might warrant the occasional exclusive..

It would be really cool if we could have a 'EXCLUSIVE - FIRST LOOK' thread suddenly pop up in the N&R section here, and a thread other than just the one Infinity thread. 40k/WFB seem to get new threads if some Necrons get shuffled around in the display cabinet in Warhammer World, so why not some genuine news from a miniature line and company that is on the up, and help cement Dakka as a place to go for fans of the game?

I already asked, a while back!

Basicalyl, it is CB's strategy to focus on places that primarily feature 'videos', and as far as I can tell, that's pretty much what they do these days, in terms of 'exclusives'?

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter much!

We all just want the game to grow, and get the exposure it 'deserves'.

We've got a great community here on Dakka Dakka, and I look forward to watching it grow alongside INFINITY - and hopefully even help INFINITY grow as well!

With regards to the new releases, the only problem I have is that with N3 in that "soon" but not too soon zone I'm not sure what to get. Ah, decisions, decisions. Just gives me more time to sell of my GW stuff...
