I take it you really don't like the overly large pouch belt mid-section thing, huh?

the Mothership...

And I find myself holding my breath this year for the Maghariba sculpt to appear much like the Geckos this time last year... I do hope it is previewed soon and is a hefty chunk of metal.

The thing about the "not-Brigada" Authorized Bounty Hunter is that he has WAY more armor than any of the other ABH out there. I think that's the confusion. And it make me not a fan f it.

I like the released ABH, appreciate Max, am a fan of Miranda, quite enjoy Lucien, and have played with the idea of using all of them in an Imperial list. But, this one, I'm not sold on him.

You don't have to be sold on it since it costs you nothing. Its free...
You don't like it, give it to someone you know who does like it. Problem solved.

I'll probably just give mine away to someone who really likes it - if, you know, the belt pouches can't be easily removed!

He's got a bit of the Dog Bounty Hunter vibe but that could just be the lack of sleeves.

I think it's always good to see what we are talking about.

If it’s a ABH then I think he looks the part by carrying all his booty.

I agree with the above about the loot. And it's not like the pouches are going to impede his power armored movements in a significant way. The folds of the jacket seem a little chunky, but I like it overall.

There's a video that talks about Giraldez's new book:

Unfortunately for some, the video is in Spanish. If anyone can understand Spanish, it'd be nice to know if that video has any news.

The following chapters are mentioned:

1. Introduction
2. Angel Giraldez's Methods
3. Painting Techniques
4. Masterclass

Don't think anything new was mentioned in that video.

I'm doubtful that the pre-order mini is an up-armored Authorized Bounty Hunter, or a QK Brigada (chest and shoulders are too different).

I'm guessing it's a new unique Merc unit or character. Might be like Miranda (ABH with set stats), but even that I am doubting.

Was the attribution of this as an ABH a rumor from somewhere in specific, or just something we came up with here on Dakka?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Beasts of War, whose preview that is, specifically refer to him as "Authorized Bounty Hunter".

No. It is confirmed to be an ABH. There is a CB graphic from the BoW video over the weekend showing this model and the covers of the 2 books in N3.

This is a pre-order ABH for the N3 book.

ABH can get HI armour from their Booty skill so I see nothing wrong with the model been just an ABH.

Any mention of the limited jean d'arc they said would come with preorders?

Is that a natural 21?

Was that ever mentioned?

They specifically shoed that concept art as part of the N3 preview video. I think it's simply a resculpt and not a preorder bonus.

No mention of Joan. The guy, Andy Ruiz, does say the Angel will be presenting the book at the Hispania Wargames con in February 28th or March 1st but that it's unclear whether it'll be available for purchase there.

He also mentioned the the biggest part of the book, the part with the most weight, will be the masterclasses covering 10 different models not all of which are from Infinity.

Again, I don't think any of that info was new but there it is.

+4 ARM, so perfectly fitting, like the heavy armour Yuan Yuan that came with the Battlefoam bags.

I like that the low model count required to play Infinity means a dedicated player could actually feasibly take the time to make a model for each result on booty (or metachemistry for that matter) table. Or at least those that had a large visual disparity from the norm.

Beyond the Beltway

A brief reminder of a little local news for all of you in the Baltimore-Washington DC area or within driving distance thereof. There is a big Infinity tournament scheduled for 8 November at Games n Stuff in Glen Burnie. More info in this thread on the official forum http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22518-dire-states-the-baltimore-brawl-8-november-2014-prereg-available/

I know it should be in the tournaments sub-forum, but it would just get lost there. It is one Month away, so I thought a timely reminder would be nice.

Now with pre-orders starting next Monday, how long will it be until we can get the books? Are we looking at a 1 month pre-order period, like with Icestorm (but hopefully without the wild underestimation of demand) or a 2 week period, or what?

Ah, that's where it vame from. Thanks. Still, given the servos etc. I'd hazard a guess it'll be a Miranda-like ABH unique personality with a set profile and gear. Seems a bit too tech-y for just the up-armored random table result.

As an ISS player I really really wanted ABHs to be awesome, but my experience with them has been meh. The Booty rule has so much potential, but getting to fallen enemies to grab their gear is really order-intensive. Only once have i done it, grabbed an HMG after investing maybe 4-5 orders (not worth it). Definitely could be fun if you're facing an autocannon though.

FWIW, my FLGS, Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie Maryland, has copies of Operation Icestorm in stock right now. And they have the "pre-order" stickers on them... Apparently, they're selling fairly quickly and there was about 6 left tonight. Not sure when they arrived or how many they got.

One thing oft not considered in the design of a miniature is where they would carry their booty! This guy is sorted with his A-team-style utility pouches.

In fact, I vote that we rename all ABH 'authorised booty hunters', but remember not to confuse that with booty of another kind!

Bland colours and angry fist are my only complaints. Would need to see the model from other angles for more accurate impression.

The angry fist could easily have something added to it though. More Booty!
