@Lamby: Cheers mate. She does need some more highlights on the dress but mostly it the crappy lighting in the pic.
I did also try to glaze the skin but thats not working out right now so I've put her on hold until I figure out what I want to do with her...

The resin on his hip is a dkok spade and bayonet combo.

Not much progress on the previous guys. Filled some gaps on the flamer or whatever it is and widened the lizards stance a bit.
I did make a new guy today.

Here's some progress I've made today.


Combat drug/sedative delivery system and reflex enhancers for the murderxeno.
I might add some cables and vials and wotnots to the limbs.


Added a "lure" to the xenopopes forehead. I got the original inpiration for him from anglersfishes.
I meant to give him bulging eyes bit it didn't work out.


Final WIP for the flamer guy. I'm pretty happy how he came out.
I think I'll paint him next.

And finally the lizard merc:

I still need to smooth out some of the armor. Not completely sold on the rotary cannon...

The flamer guy is finished!

Green light from the pict screens illuminated Rayliss' face as he sat watching a vid log of what seemed to be a terrorist attack on a forge world.
The attacking force consisted mostly of hive workers and skitarii with a few heavily armed servitors and lifter sentinels.
All of this he disregarded and focused his attention on the figure leading them. Clad in grimy white armor and a cruel looking red helmet fashioned into a leering demons face, the man carried a huge weapon that resembled an industrial flamer with an attached plasma cell.
Surrounding him were six men in similar armor carrying plasma weapons of indeterminate origin. He wathed as the leader arrested his charge and swung his weapon around to aim it at a squad of approaching Praetorians.
The screen went white as the arcane weapon spat a torrent of blue flame that completely incinerated the praetorians and the unfortunate skitarii filming the conflict.
He spent a few minutes looking at the other screens. All showed the same man in a similar situation. In every one he lead a gaggle of workers and skitarii to victory over their Mechanicum masters, only to vanish when the fighting was done.
"Who is he and why should I care?", He finally said.
"Marouk Sakonna, also known as Howler and Ifrit.", said a male voice from the shadows, "He's been leading several worker uprisings on mechanicum worlds in the sector."
"Why him?", Rayliss asked.
"well sir, in my opinion he would be very receptive to our cause. His mechanicum training would be most useful as well. I've been told that he was born to a pair of workers on an forge world and as is customary was fated to toil in the factories until his death. I'm not sure which forge world this was but I've narrowed it down to Narok, Lerium IV or one of the planets in the Goarrok Rift.", the voice said.
"Why is he leading these uprisings then mr. Fesh?" the inquisitor said. He hated how Fesh never willingly surrendered any information. Every answer had to be pried from him with great effort.
"His masters in the Mechanicum quickly saw he had a talent for assembling and handling energy weapons of different kinds. He's a prodigy of sorts it seems. But I digress, the priests planned to make Marouk one of their greatest artisans. I'm told that in Mechanicum circles this means a servitorization of a kind. Replace limbs, add bionics, install onto an assembly line permanently. That sort of thing.", Fesh replied.
"I take it he did not approve?"
"I don't think the priests had time to tell him of their plans. Being the logical being that they are, they decided to eliminate any other attachements Marouk had so he would be more receptive to their "gift". Simply put, they killed his parents."
"He found out I take it."
"Caught them in the act. Since then he has been putting his skills to use avenging his parents and fighting the Mechanicums oppression of their workers. He's become something of a boogyman to the red priests."
"What is his stance on xenospecies?", Rayliss asked.
"He's employed at least two of our agents, Ssla'Raan and Xiluak."
Rayliss sat silently for a while, staring at the terrorist on the screen.
"Bring him to me.", he finally said.

I decided to try a "dirtier" way of painting and I think it worked out well.
Here's a pic of whats beneath the "plasma caster".

Dunno why but I really like the how the armor came out even if it looks a bit rough.


Also, I got bored yesterday and started making a herald of Mhorrigot.

I also changed the barrel on the lizards rotary cannon.


C&C is most welcome and I'd appreciate some suggestions for the lizards color scheme.

Asked a couple of friends if they would be interested in playing inquisimunda or inq28 with me and they were. Now I need to make enough for us all. Woo!

Lizard merc, freaking awesome. Looks like it should be a model for dark age or something.

Loving the empire/inq. conversions too, guard/greatsword/swordsmen. They just seem to work. Would love to see a platoon full.

Cheers mate! I did entertain the idea of making a whole squad but I don't have enough parts. Maybe in the future.
Did give them fur capes. I'll add pics tomorrow.

Some really clever use of bits!! Looking forward to seeing more stuff painted up.
