It has taken me a few days to think about this comment. I look at this as a good way to look at it.

I am a Furry: I like dress up as a Furry Animal and go at and have fun, just like I did when I was 7 for Halloween.

I am a Gamer: I like to play with little plastic army men, like when I was 7.

I am a Brony: I enjoy watching the new show, as I did back in the 80’s.

I am not all consumed with it like others, but I like the show. I have all three showings a day programmed in so I can see the episodes I have missed. If I have seen the episode and an episode of Avatar the Last Air-Bender, NCIS, Burn Notice, Top Gear or Only in America with Larry The Cable Guy on, I might watch them instead.

Liking a show because it entertains you is not bad. Obsessing over a TV Show is bad most of the time. Everyone I have talked to about the show loves it, but they are not going out and planning on spending the $125 on the Boxed set at Best Buy to watch it inside a darkened room. They are going to get it to show there friends and family and hope they like it to. If they don’t understand it after watching it, so be it.

I think all of us who watch the show has also been very civil. I think everyone should be this way.

Thank you for your time

But but... toy guns are for men right?

Surely we need that chart which says which nerds can dump on which geeks and whatever.

I don't think they took any furries input when that was made.

Almost everyone here plays with plastic toy soldiers. Ask anyone over the age of 10 what they think of that.
It'll be pretty much the same as what people here think of MLP.

On a website full of geeks, can't we accept one more strange addiction?

(Not a bronie by the way.)

It's just a meme, don't get angry over people hating it. Also, I would edit the post before the mods get to it.

Here's the different, here's what the minatures are suppose to be:
and here's what the Happy little pony thing is be:
Warhammer 40k shows a sense of Maturity and a sense of Grim Darkness. Alot of people who like Warhammer, also like Dark Thing. So, what do you expect from a show like that?

Yeah, funny thing about that. The thing is, it seems that most people see 40k as a childrens game, in fact, even at the LGS, 40k players for the most part are looked at as a joke. Do I let that stop me? No. I play because I love strategy games, and I like the designs of the models, and the parody of a "grimdark future".

Why do I like my little pony? The design, the story, and the parody of a happy-sunshine world.

Of course, this is why a lot of traditional gamers have grown tired of 40k, because they like to compare EVERYTHING to 40k.

I'm guessing I'm more mature than yours. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8dhwtSUNDc Grim Darkness=/= Maturity, I agree but it is still more mature than a Cartoony mess with rainbows and simplisctic drawings which was probaly put together by person with a mindset the same as a 5 year old.

You and I BOTH play with little plastic soldiers. Claiming that different hobbies have some kind of maturity level is rather immature itself. More importantly, I doub you've ever actually watched MLP. The animation is fantastic, and Lauren Faust has received 6 Emmy Nominations for her work in the past.

Getting nominated for Emmys is not something I consider the mark of a person with 'the mindset of a 5 year old'.

And finally, I'll leave this here:

C.S. Lewis wrote:Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

Well...I decided to watch an Episode to see what all the fuss was about.

I just finished watching 20 episodes, in 2 days.

:3

Anyway, I like the show, the humor is good, teaching kids life lessons and all that. Although I have to skip the intro, since it makes me put my head in my hands in shame, but other than that, it's all good.

Also, a lot of the monsters they've encountered in the show.... Dragon? Manticore? Cokatrice? Hydra?.....when are we gonna see a Lamasuu MLP style?
