Yes, it is, but this is the direct translation, not the RP, with the M on the end. Not really like it at all, I just went on the latin translators, apparently there are in fact three official games titled 'inter astrum' I'm just happy it's not a direct copy. It does make me feel a bit sleazy though, even though the intent is not plagurism-plajuri-plagu-...copying. Honeslty I'm torn on it, it's a good title and all but I can't help think of Inter astrum.

It seems like Lauren Faust leaving the show has changed the "feel" of the show a bit. I wasn't a fan of King Somber as a villain, I was hoping for some more back story and info on the kingdom and its ruler. The pinkie episode, she got to... serious? Perhaps my expectations are to high after the improvements from season 1 --> 2.

The brony state live cast argued that it wasn't genocide, magic clones of that style usually are just super shallow imprints of the original, hence why they could only seek out fun, etc. It's almost like a caricature. So no souls, just magical constructs, no murder.

I understand they're magical clones and were just returned to whence they came and all... But damn did they make it look like a really painful way to go.

They were getting a tad bit on my nerves, but I think that was the point. Two pinkies was fun, but when we got to about 6, the extra started getting on my nerves.

That's the interesting thing actually! My theory is that they're basically balloon animals. That's why one of the clones could produce "fingers" she was just manipulating the "rubber" of the binding spell around the animation magic (air)

The surprising thing about MLP isn't that you have a lot of older people who like kids show. That is quite common. I believe the saying is if I had a nickle. No. the surprising thing is that part is that you have a lot of people watching and liking a girls show. That dosen't happen.

Also, there's the unfortunate tendency of the Western World to view Animation as a medium only used "for the Kiddies and Toddlers", when it really, really isn't. This rigid and outdated mindset is beginning, thankfully, to break thanks to the influence of Anime (coming as it does from a culture that never had an "Animation Age Ghetto [TVTrope it]) and, in fact, shows like MLP:FiM.
Look at it this way. What if we were gushing over a slice-of-life AdventSitDramaDy (adventure, sitcom drama comedy- kinda like if you combined Friends and Fringe- or maybe like Firefly) set in a Fantasy-Lite universe. It starred a nerdy, bookish girl who's talent with magic caught the eye of the local monarch, and she was sent to a local village to study the local populace. She's greeted by a hyperactive Genki Girl, meets a Fashionista, a Farmer, and a couple of local Civil Servants who have quirky hobbies, and goes on adventures both fantastic and mundane.
Does that not sound like something you could pitch to a Network Exec and at least get a Pilot episode for? Remember, and all or nearly all female cast is no real gender barrier in daytime and primetime television (Sex and the City? Charlie's Angels?), modern audiences are starting to look for a little something unusual in their TV and many writers are blending Genres for that (Pseudo-science Buddy Cop drama in Fringe, Cowboys IN SPAAAACE!! in Firefly) and let's not forget the qirky characters doing their surprisingly interesting day jobs (Bones, NCIS)!
So why is the face that the TV show we watch wrapped up in pastel mildy anthropomorphized cartoon animals such a big issue?

Most "kids" shows contain slightly complex jokes and the like specifically to appeal to adults. Animators know who watch this stuff, they want to make adults and by that extent parents be okay with the kids watching the material and even watch with them (advertise to the wallet directly) MLP has accidentally managed to be extremely successful in hitting that side demographic.
That said I find any charge of immaturity inside ANY nerd fandom of any kind to be completely hilarious. I am a grown ass man who collects little toy dolls and paints them, then I take them over to my friend's house to play with them. I've been doing the same gak since I first learned how to walk and got my first giant tub of green army men. There's just more rules now. Playing pretend in the woods? More rules and since I don't LARP, no more running around in the woods, we call it D&D. A rising trend that's spread across the country is anime, and it's hard to find a more ardent fanbase everywhere. Ignoring some of the issues with the genre (rampant oversexualization etc) most of the anime watched and popular in the United States are children's cartoons. That tween demographic that most cartoons these days are designed to appeal to. So here especially, if we need to grow up we probably need to put down our toy soldiers too.
Now I fully admit I watch the show, I'm not a passionate fan of pretty much any property outside of Star Wars, Star Trek and Firefly but I have to wonder here about you my good Inquisitor. You've stated your position clearly enough "It's creepy" but why? Is it the challenging of assigned gender norms? Are you making an assumption about a group of several million people world wide? That they're sexual deviants like the first quote listed there?
Bottom line for me, I'm a grown man, a Marine, fairly educated and completely independent, I support normal relationships, and do normal things, I'm opening my own business, and in a world that is depressing and cynical I can appreciate a show that without irony or sarcasm approaches pleasant and happy things, just as a break from the gak that is reality.

Alright, I really agree a lot with the point about Warhammer players calling MLP weird is interesting. However, there are differences between the two, mostly that people don't suspect pedophilia from Warhammer players. I'm not saying that it's right to make that conclusion about bronies, but that's one of the conclusions that people are making. Like anything else, tolerance is good, but also like anything else, people are going to rip on it. I rip on Warhammer, to a point.
Also, please don't get me started on men becoming less masculine. I have strong ideas on that. I realize not everyone does, and I'll tolerate that, but in the Mr. Garrison speech fromDeath Camp of Tolerance sort of a way.
The guy in the video, while making a good point, looked vaguely like a really creepy guy I used to live with. I don't know if you read the story I wrote in German, but he's basically Felix.
As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.
Perkustin wrote: Speaking completely seriously your infatuation with a childs toy gravely concerns me, i hope you dont plan on working with, having or stealing any children. Notice the lack of orkmoticons, i am deadly serious mate.
QFT I'm not referring to anyone here, but the whole pony fandom thing is really fething creepy. And I'm only using a profanity substitute because I figure the mods don't want the real thing; I'm totally serious also. I was reading about people modifying pony toys as "art" on Wikipedia. It was very creepy that anyone would be this interested in children's stuff.
You go on and on about a show aimed at 4 year old little girls; you may want to reevaluate. This is not meant as insult, just as advice. You aren't noting it is a well crafted show, you are latched onto it with the zealousness of a convert.
I explained in the same response why I like the show. For me, namely, it's the characters. To me, they seem well developed characters and I honestly care about what happens to them. I've grown to love the characters--and in a slice of life show, that's what makes or breaks it.
Just because I'm starting a thread about a show I like doesn't mean 'I'm latched on with the zealousness of a convert', it just means I'm trying to find other fans of the show on online communities where I already frequent. It's no different than people starting threads asking who likes a particular band or book series. People just tend to think negatively of bronies.
As for why another forum may be inappropriate, it is for the same reason many subjects here aren't approached. It goes over better on sites like 4chan, but they also have threads from grown men obsessing over 8 year old actresses on the Disney Channel. Essentially it is to niche for a broad body like this.
Which would be true if this were come kind of inappropriate topic. It's not inapropriate, as you've said it's a show directed at 8 year olds. It's not like I'm doing anything legally questionable or offensive. It may be a niche show, but what's wrong with seeking out other members of the same niche if I so choose? I see nothing wrong with it, and I never remember any dakka policy that said fans of more niche game/show/books couldn't make threads expressing their fandom.
Of course, if this is a new policy, the mods can lock this thread. I doubt it though.
I'm pretty close to that age, and I can't imagine anyone this age have a totally normal interest in a show like this. Originally I thought that maybe it was like Happy Tree Friends or something, but it's not.
Gaining maturity and independence can be hard for some people, but it's worth it. I mean that as serious advice. I'm not saying that you're definitely someone who needs it, but for anyone who does, maturity is worth it. It might be hard, it might be painful, but it's worth it.
2. Your level of cognitive dissonance due to your love of the show is as such that you don't realize that it comes across as creepy, or worse.
Do I have stories about people related to this!
wow......they say that it's people like us who are what's wrong with society but we do nothing but watch a TV show and enjoy it, maybe start up a page on a forum so likeminded people can talk about the show too and even extended it into our other hobbies such as drawing, modelling and so for. Whereas people like you walk into her with no real knowledge of the show or the brony community other than un-reliable sources from Wikipedia and even 4chan of all places, call us paedophiles, sick, twisted and mentally handicapped. You refuse to acknowledge that the reason that we like the show is because, in our eyes, it's a good show and that there must be an arterial, most likely sexual, motive for enjoying a kids TV show.
You flame threads where people have done nothing other than enjoy a TV show, you create hate groups and hurl abuse at us, telling us to grow up and that you find what we do creepy and even dig up posts that were made over a year ago in an effort to say that you disagree with what we are doing. No one here is latching onto this show with zealous convert, we a merely defending ourselves from people like you who feel that because we enjoy a TV show, we are abnormal and thus worthy of abuse.
I think you’ll find that it’s narrow minded, ignorant people, who can’t tolerate another person’s interests because they differ from the norm, that’s what’s really wrong with society

I detect a lot of fanaticism here, and I think it would be best if I tone down the situation. As advice, this can hurt your point. I understand, but a lot of people don't.
All I did was agree that there could be an underlying cause, not that being a brony itself is weird.

Maybe you should check the date of post's, threads, etc before posting. Even more so when it's from the first page oh a 180 odd page long thread.
For your infomation, most normal, well thinking people don't think such things. Every person who I have met outside of the internet has said something along the lines of "huh, you like MLP. That's fine". Also there is no fanaticism here, if you had have bothered reading the whole thread rather han jumping on the first thing you saw you would know this.
And for the last time there is no underlying cause......it's a TV show....that we like.....because we think it's a good show. Why is this so hard to understand? as with any fandom you'll find that one person who takes things a little bit too far and out of context but the majority of us have no other reason to like the show.
Also the report was very mature of you, good job.

I'd say it's similar fringes that really make the same wild accusations against ALL nerd hobbies of things like pedophilia, being man-children, being Otaku (in the proper Japanese sense of the term), black magic and satanism are STILL leveled against D&D on a semi-regular basis and while individuals within any given hobby might be any of the above and worse besides (murderers who play MtG in Florida/Georgia for example). In fact you can extend this out to all hobbies... and well almost everything in general. I'm a marksman and a gunsmith. I shoot weapons constantly, I love my hobby, and my profession and I'm proud of the military service that's rooted in, but I have met people who have straight up called me a psychopath, a nazi and far worse besides just because I enjoy shooting. For being a Marine I've been labeled murderer, monster and baby killer. These kind of Ad hominem attacks are common in our society against things we either don't like, but can't explain why we dislike them, or just don't feel like actually thinking about because it doesn't fit our world view. It's the weakest form of argument known to man short of just straight up punching someone as your counter point.
It's not the concept of becoming "less masculine" it's the concept of what IS masculine and what sets the social norms on that? The example that the video gives is a great one, pink being considered a masculine color for boys a short couple decades ago, now if you dress a baby boy in pink you'd be accused of trying to make him into a homosexual or some other such nonsense.
Well the guy in the video works for PBS and is a TV show host, so there's that eh? I'd say he's fairly different from any generally creepy guy that I've met. Most of them aren't articulate and charismatic enough to run a decently popular youtube channel.
That game is brutally difficult, it's nigh impossible to catch hearts on the bottom of the screen without hitting the "instant death" line on the bottom there

The $50 would get you both of the Mane6 ponies that cost gems, Rarity and Rainbow Dash, and leave you with 100+ left over. There are a couple other ways to get gems though in addition to just leveling.
1.) You'll get three gems every five days if you play every day.
2.) Rarely you will get a gem from finding Derpy, aka Pony In A Box, but far more likely you'll just get some bits.
3.) You can get gems from the balloon popping game by spending hearts. I've finally started raking those in but not played the heart version of the balloon game yet so I don't know how likely you are to get gems from it.
But yes, that's an obscene price for Rainbow Dash. I saw the 90 gems for Rarity and thought it was bad. There are also quests that require you to spend gems.
