I find it to be a specific mood. It's certainly not something I could watch all day, every day. I'd get diabetes.

As for my regular anime kicks, my all-time favorite is easily Fullmetal Alchemist. Brotherhood, not that original gack. NGE is a contender, as is Full Metal Panic!, Macross 7, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop... The list goes on.

Started watching Girls und Panzer. It has way awesome tank battles

Couldn't watch that thing for the life of me, I attempted one episode, but with the whole school thing and horrible CGI tanks, I was put off pretty damn quick.

I really dislike it when they put 3D models into a 2d show, it looks terrible.

I can agree with the 3D being bad in 2D shows, but this one isn't as bad. I also only watch the show for the tank battles. They do an ok job at it.

Been loving Blast of Tempest: The Civilization Blaster so much! Today is a great day for me for anime. New Girls Und Panzer, new Blast of Tempest, Love Live! and ...I'm spacing one other anime.

Also been watching slice of life anime Hanasaku Iroha recently, it's finished and free on crunchy roll.

We started the frist episode of that in my anime club last week. For the first 20 minutes or so I was kinda half paying attention not really interested. An then I was like oh gak that girl he was talking about was his friends sister! Oh man did he just slam that girls face into the ground? It started speeding up and getting interesting pretty fast. Im really enjoying it so far, even if it is a little shojo-esk

imagine if they made a warhammer40k anime, how well would that go?

I hear its a lot darker than some people are expecting, but codex anime. I'm going to have to assume that your just having a laugh.

I also loved G&P. I got one of those purposeless withdrawals from it since I didn't know what to do after finishing. They won the league, maybe they could go to nationals?

Yep! I mean there's a lot of potential in the show and the world they've created.

It also has the distinction of being the most cheerful piece of material focused on tank warfare I've ever seen.

My complaint with Panzer is the constant underdog status in every single fight and yet they've set it up where you know they can't lose. Hell they even win their very first practice match that doesn't even matter if they lose. The enemy uses almost no strategy and just blindly follows them into one cunning trap after another. If they're this unstoppable as the plucky underdogs who are outnumbered two to one or worse while also using inferior tanks, what's going to challenge them in season two when one assumes they start to get actuall funding now that they've proven themselves?

They lost their first match though, they got a sound British thrashing, six to the vest, trousers down.

The tactics are a little ridiculous now and then though.

Patlabor, X-men the animated series, SW: CW's, ghost in a shell stand alone complex. one i enjoyed though? Legend of the Overfiend, haven't seen a more brutal anime unless your counting Metalpocalyse (i do like DR Rockso the rock n roll clown btw)

Gotten thru eight episodes of Full Metal Panic and I think I'm done with it. Didn't really care for the characters or school comedy aspect, but stuck it out to see the mech action. Then the big weapon/technology thing is revealed to be power of spirit thing where it's as strong as your will is and I just went Meh. Need to find a new good series to a watch now.

This really made no sense and I wished they just cut it out of the anime entirely since it was just a 900 pound gruella in the room. Had no impact on the story what so ever and really almost made my just stop watching the series right there since it was just so utterly strange and never brought up again. Was an ok series but after a while when they start taking out far superior tanks while always being outnumbered you just have to leave you mind at home and enjoy it for what it is.

Finished watching Maoyuu Maou Yuusha and still just can’t a grasp on what they were going for. It jump around huge time spans, things seemed to keep happening off screen, and it just kind of ended with really no resolution to anything.

Did enjoy Kotoura-san. Straddled the line between having some very dark components to being just straight up comedy. Enjoyed the characters and the few story plots they had. I hope they have a second season but could easily be a one and done show and I think it would still be fine for it.

Maou has to be setting up for a second season because they did leave a ton open there at the end. Maou and Yuusha never even get their kiss in!

Yeah. The Manga for Soul Eater didn't get good till after Arachne's castle, but that's where the Anime ended and they had a different ending.

Exactly my sentiments. The only good things out of that series was Excalibur and Crona's torment.
