Do you think the collegiate league of tank warfare drives Cold War era tanks? Is there a free for all every year based on the Fulda Gap? Actually that's a fairly brilliant idea, each college submits a unit and is assigned red or blue. Operation REFORGER is a four day combat exercise that tests participating teams combat and operational skills in the field. Team work at the "group", school and individual crew level is vital to victory in the Fulda Gap.
I'd also like to see a U.S. Marines based force in the future, amphibious landings baby!

I tried watching the first episode, but I lost interest by the end. I'm definitely not a big fan of the typical big mecha shows and this runs along with them. I thought Eureka Seven had terribad dubs, but I also watched the entire series subbed. I feel they missed the mark. Code Geass had dubs that made the show even better than the subs IMO. Highly recommend that show if you only watch dubbed.

No, it's some quirk with the people who did the subtitles and it's really annoying. There's literally a point where someone asks what Panzerkai means, and the subtitles translate the answer as Panzerkai means Panzerkai, but you can hear the character actually says something different. I heard Crunchyroll doesn't have the German in the subtitles.

Honestly after seeing the original dub of Gundam OO my standards have dropped quite a bit. I mean, when you have an old man character and a young almost teenage character and a old voice actor and a teenage voice actor and you choose the teenager to voice the old man and the old man to voice the teenager, I give up all hope that anyone with an IQ over 20 was present in the room.

That's a quirk with a specific translation team that's running around, their sub is pretty popular because they were done first for the most part, well ahead of crunchy roll. CR's sub is pretty solid though. There IS a decent amount of German used in the series though.

Special #4 just released and contains the one thing we as a fanbase demanded more of, an Anglerfish dance music video! The rest of it's a mix of fan service/the characters being themselves and some actual interesting supplementary knowledge about the world.

I never really notice bad dubs, because if I watch it one way, I don't really go back and watch it in the other, so I won't know the difference. To me it's either a good show or it's not. I do tend to prefer dubs because that way I can watch the show, not read it.

I'm watching everything on that list except Aku no Hana, will have to go check that out right now as I just finished watching thru Psycho Pass.
Also, I these are the only two anime related wallpapers I can remember having in my rotation off hand. Not on my PC to check for sure.

Well, just watched episode 2 of Haruhi Suzumkya (broadcast order, I started with Episode 00, the student film).
...Diggity dang...
It is utterly brilliant, but Haruhi is completely and utterly insane. I am also convinced she has a lesbian crush on poor Mikuru, who she seems to take great pleasure in molesting. Oh dear...Poor ginger-chan...
Aya Hirano does a spectacularly good job of voicing Haruhi, she really gets the "insane highschooler" voice just right. Kyon's deadpan "Oh, dear...You silly, twisted girl" voice is awesome too.
Must. Watch. More!

Also: Haruhi Suzumiya is meant to be a accumulation of Otaku culture. Tsundere, Yandere, bizarre fascination with young boobies...she's all of that.
