That link is a trip down memory lane. It's a blog that is weekly updated with each week looking at each year in anime since it became a thing. Last week was 1998, which really was a big year.

and I now understand what you guys mean by episode 10 of Valvrave... feth all... the hell was that.... I don't think it's really trying to ruin any characters like some of you guys said though, all part of what was previously established, even if it went in a COMPLETELY different direction then anticipated.
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

I had to rewatch that scene to make sure I was seeing what I thought it was seeing... But yeah, after Code Geass and whatever that DNA series was whos name I forget, they've got to up the ante on messing with the characters/viewers.
So I had a thought about episode 10 of Valvrave, the following is an ultra mega spoiler and my theory for how the rest of the show over the remaining two episodes of this season, and the second season will go.
Spoiler:
What we know, there are four valvraves, the pilots are extremely long lived (We see Saki 200 years in the future), and there will be a total of seven pilots ala "the Golden Seven" from the Saki flash forward. We also know that to pilot a valvrave is to surrender your humanity, we thought it was turning Haruto into a vampire, but as we saw he was thirsting for the pleasures of the flesh, not blood. I believe that the machines are more subtle then that, your curse reflects your core motivation for resigning your humanity. A Tarturus style punishment along the lines of Sisyphus and his boulder. A need that will never be quenched. I also think these line up loosely to the seven deadly sins.
Haruto (Valvrave VV-I) - Lust - Haruto entered the cockpit wanting to save and protect those he loved. So he's cursed to be a lust filled monster, and eventually reviled by the one he loves. (Shoko if you haven't caught on yet.)
Saki (Valvrave VVV-IV) - Pride - She wants only to be loved, and so she never will be, alone together, even when she's with Haruto because of his affliction she'll still be disconnected to some extent.
Kyuma (Valvrave VVV-V) - Wrath - Pure, delicious Khorne pleasing revenge at it's absolute finest! Kyuma's soul motivation is to kill in Aina's name. Thus his blood lust will never be sated and what's more, because of the heavy armor of his curse (enough to deflect a siege cannon shot without chipping the paint) he will never be able to die to join her, without suiciding, which he will not be able to bring himself because he knows it was disappoint Aina.
Yamada (Valvrave VVV-III) - Envy (Maybe Greed?) - He craves respect and to be known for his own skills and merits, instead he'll be respect for his machine in the few places where he isn't feared as a force of incredible destruction. The permenant social outcast, who only desired to be accepted and considered an equal of all around him.
Missing Sins:
Gluttony
Sloth
Greed
Remaining Completed Valvraves in the Hangar:
Valvrave VVV-VI (light purple)
Other Valvraves:
One to two incomplete nonfunctioning but offically numbered/designated units deep in the labs of Module 77

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
Big uplifting speech. It's gonna be tough, I'm not sure I can do this, but damn it I will sure as hell give it my all! This time we will totally beat the Titans! Plan immediately goes wrong. Every. Single. Time.

I think Haruko's issues are going of end up caused by the AI program that only his Valvrave has myself.
Although I like your theory KalashnikovMarine, i think this is going to end up the answer. We know that the program is hungry and I can only wonder where the energy you would need for the Valvraves is coming from. If Haruko is the only one with an AI, it could mean he is the one most strongly effected.
All the effects I listed except Haruto's can be caused just by climbing into the cockpit of one of the Valvraves. We also know for sure that just being a "normal" pilot has strong effects on the human body from Saki's flash forward.

Oh, what did the AI say in episode 10? I have a Really hard time trying to catch the sub titles on her because they come up smaller than the rest and tend to go by quick.
I don't think I can take anymore attack on titan, it's pretty much lost me lol It reminds me a lot of star trek, where every little thing they do seems to have something that goes wrong, it's almost comical
During the... rape that Saki... just kinda... enjoyed? Went with? Either way it made it creepier, the AI was just repeating "sex" over and over again.
Theory related to 10 from a buddy of mine:
Spoiler:
Something is going to come out of that incident connected to the valvraves, there will be personal consequences for Haruto and Saki too, but because the AI was engaged, my buddy is convinced that something will result from that with the AI
Edit: In other news Gargantia has taken some terms I haven't expected at all, I am now eagerly awaiting what should be a fascinating conclusion. Gonna be interesting to see where they go with this.

Just caught up on Gargantia, Attack on Titan, and Valvrave (including ep 10). Currently starting Majestic Prince I need to rewatch ep 1 as I was reading Dakka .
As to the things said by the AI in Valvrave
Spoiler:
At the beginning of the episode when L-Elf punched Haruto in the stomach, the AI was say, "I'm Hungry" and then SEX over and over when he was getting it on with Saki.
And now on to the ideas about Valvrave that Aduro and KM were talking about
Spoiler:
I think that out of all of them, currently the only one that is cursed is Haruto simply because of the fact that it wouldn't be very "entertaining" if ALL of the characters had to deal with the issues that Haruto is facing then they would just spend the episodes dealing with that and we wouldn't get to see much of the story. AduroT I believe nails it on the head, Haruto's valvrave is the only system to implement an AI, and is also the only one that can push itself to the point that it can perform the Harikiri Blade. The others don't seem to be capable of such things.
With that being said, I can certainly see where your points make complete sense within the show, but as a bit of a counter point... Saki, while she loves the attention she gets, she is very reserved when not inside of her valvrave, unlike Haruto she is very much in control of her actions, and doesn't really strive to bring attention to herself outside of combat. But I could be misreading this.
And now so Alph doesn't get mad at the spoilers in this thread . I'm enjoying Majestic Prince, Alph I think you would like it. Atm it's not very slice of life (although I'm only on to episode 2), but it's a meg anime about 5 kids, the worst in their class that get selected for a mission in these "new" mechs? and proceed to kick arse, it's prtty good the main characters seem a little surprised at their actions and the fact that they did so well on this mission.

Spoiler:
Attacking Gargantia was something I didn't think of, but once he said it I thought it was stupid cliche and an overly blatant "choose between the past you knew and the present you've learned" type of situation and way too quick for it to happen after meeting the commander. I mean unless they go really weird, it's obvious he'll not attack Gargantia and will instead get an epic showdown vs the commander. I do wonder what Chamber would do though if Ledo tried to fight against the commander...

With the knowledge bestowed upon me by the manga, I'd suggest you keep watching. There is A LOT of big stuff about to happen.
I'd say the next... 5? episodes are probably going to be stellar, if I remember my storyline correctly.

haha ok! : p I mean I'll keep watching it, I was just expecting the story to be a bit different. I also think the artwork is pretty good and unique when it comes to action scenes, but I generally don't like it that much. It works with the show really well and adds to the grim dark feeling, just not a big fan of it.
Majestic Prince is shaping up to be a fine anime, the story is getting pretty interesting with the main enemy, and the characters are starting to come into their own a little, KM you're just picky

Spoiler:
But he's not being asked to attack it, he's asked to be a missionary. The commander has good intentions with his actions but poor exectuion. The issue is, he's trying to bring new people into the fold too fast. It will be tough enough for them to deal with the new members from Pinon's fleet, so brining in the entirety of Gargantia as well? That would be a huge culture shock and an unbeleiveable backlash. The resulting effort would end up being a conflict in with Ledo would have to take sides.....that is if he decides to follow through with this to begin with.

I was gonna say that but I felt it would have been a little obvious!
Since this isn't a Warhammer 40K Forum...that's OK!
Heavily Warhammer FaBa and 40k pressured, still.
And we're drifting off the subject, aren't we?
Oh, I did watch Gargantia episode 10 and
Spoiler:
it's not necessarily going to be an attack, since Ledo was told to act out as a missionary. Who knows what happens, though, if Gargantians refuse the new religion...
