Hey, sorry about the whole raping you thing... Wanna get married? What? Is this a bad time?
I am still in shock that happened.
Spoiler:
Also what the HELL is with all the rape in my anime this week? Seriously between Valvrave and a few other older series I've been working through... ugh
In other news, the Black Lagoon OVA "Roberta's Blood Trail" is just as freaking awesome as the original two seasons.
Spoiler:
I'd still like to see Revy and Rock DO SOMETHING about each other though. I mean it makes perfect sense they can't, Revy is so fethed in the head that the thought of even a relationship, as much of one as Rock who clearly has his own issues can provide any way, is like asking a fish to breath air.

I claim validation that the commander was making reference to attacking Gargantia! Ledo confirms that's what his intention was right at the beginning of the episode.
The premise of the show is that there are girls academies that have "the art of tank fighting". Many of these schools promote that as the main reason to go to that school. The main character is from a famous family of "Tankery" (this is how Crunchyroll dubs it) women, and has moved from her previous academy to this new one simply because it didn't have a Tankery club. Turns out, the local Student Council knows of her previous education experiences and start up a tank club and get the main character to join. The first season was about getting the club going, and a tournament they entered.
The only problem is that they only created 12 episodes, and at least one or two of them are recap episodes, and the series doesn't seem to be getting a second season but is getting a 2014 theatrical release.
Also AduroT, you might want to add a few sentences before you put a spoiler like you did with Valvrave 11, because that showed up in the preview text when I saw it this weekend. also, probably going to watch my Anime episodes this evening Should just need Majestic Prince (w/e episode I left off on), Valvrave 11, and Gargantia 11. I might pick up some random series too who knows.

Its a shame they aren't making a second season. That show has awesome potential. Of course it was pretty good even with only one season.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I don't recall any of them being recaps at all in the series. It all progressed at quite a nice pace for the style of story, IMO. Also, for those who have not watched it, the creator is a HUGE tank nut and has incredible technical and operational details put into the story about tank operations in general as well as specific model's strengths and weaknesses/flaws. The show starts out looking like it wants to be moe-moe in the first episode but quickly you realize that "Panzerfahren", as the sub group that I used called it, (another called it Tankwando, which I found amusing) is actually quite awesome and incredibly fun to watch and takes the obvious center stage. If you like tanks and anime, I highly recommend this show.
Nope, there were definitely two recap episodes during the main 12 episode run of the season. It was because the studio couldn't keep up with the weekly release schedule. They then had to make it a 14 episode series and to have the final two episodes air after the following season some months later. Was very annoying. It was a cute series, and while entertaining, I found it predictably cliche in the story telling and plot.
Oh, yes, those, they were recap episodes but they were labeled as such on my trackers and I didn't download them so I never watched them. I definitely have 12 episodes with no recaps.

Just watched the first episode of the new Ghost In The Shell: Arise OVA last night. Looks like its a prequel to the Stand Alone Complex series, or otherwise takes place before SAC and shows how the team got together.
Prediction for end of Arise that spoilers the end of Stand Alone Complex seasons a bit;
Spoiler:
I look forward to seeing how the Logicoma (early version of Tachicoma) is going to heroically sacrifice itself to save the team.

Currently watching Evangelion. Although the story has been pretty thoroughly spoiled for me at this point, it's still an excellent show. The opening is also pretty awesome.

Well with something like that, it is not hard to not avoid spoilers because it is so popular (Kind of think how popular and how much a cultural impact Star Wars has on Western culture, and that is what Evangelion is in Japan from how I see it). And I agree, it is a very excellent show, although it does have its flaws that make it a borderline masterpiece to me.

I liked it. Good story. Not entirely sure "who dun it" or why when it was over. So pretty par for the gits course. Animation style and character designs were a bit different than sac but not in a bad way. Was still smoothly animated.
Gonna Marathon the 3 Berserk OVA movies somewhere this week.
Also.. new GITS show? I'll get right on that.
Anyway, watched latest attack on titan yesterday... I kinda give up now... I don't know how they did it, but they have managed to destroy the pacing of this series completely. AND THE MANGA FEELS SO RIGHT. T_T
Wooo! Gargantia 12 was pretty freaking awesome, did not see that coming!
Spoiler:
That a boy Ledo! Kick some tin can ass and go back to the cute brunette with the big blue eyes!
Also Sparrow's Hotel ended and I'm kinda sad about it, it was three weird minutes every week, but I enjoyed those three weird minutes way more then I thought I would.
edit: Attack on Titan's pace is killing me, I'm half expecting the DBZ "charging and nothing else" episodes at this point.

Yeah, happened to check the streaming site one minute after Valvrave was posted last night.
Spoiler:
Nothing Too terribly unexpected with the bad guy. He had previously seemed to know more about and have some connection to the Valvraves than he was letting on.
Magius or whatever they were called... Are they aliens? The Valvraves were suspected of being alien tech early on.
Hermit chick being the fifth pilot was the most unexpected thing. Did not see that one coming. Wonder if shell ever leave the cockpit or if that will be her new hole. I did think it was too conveniently cliche that the hacker chick just happened to end up with a mecha that specializes in hacking the enemy.

Spoiler:
I agree with you on her getting the hacking Valvrave to be way too convenient, but if you think about it all of the Valvraves in a way have been convenient for whoever ended up piloting that specific valvrave. As far as we know the Valvrave could actually become what the person needs when they make the contract to resign being a human. It would make sense since all of the Valvraves are bland until someone steps inside and accepts.
The hacker chick was sort of obvious to a friend of mine because as he said (which I agree) what else would she be good for? Also Cain is a b/a. He's literally making a Valvrave with pure energy. I was getting gurren lagann vibes from it!

I've watched the first 2 episodes of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. It's a bit slow at the moment, but I have heard it gets much, much better later on, so I will give it a chance.
I'm a little put off by the (admittedly very sporadic) loli fanservice and strangely hentaiesque character designs though.
