No word of a lie, that is exactly what I was thinking when I watched that show. It made me want to have allied guard only with even more tanks, converted with high school girls of course. My friends would find it hysterical.

Suspension of Disbelief. I just want to sneak my anime into my gaming (and annoy a certain person and his slaaneshi marines in our group). To me I see pask commanding a LR battle tank. Just wait for my gundam riptides to show up.

And Boku wa tomodachi is pretty funny and entertaining to watch.

Blood lad seems to be just good old shonen antics. Entertaining to watch. but hasn't yet reached the slow tipping point that so many shows seem to have fallen off. It is close to Fairy tale and maybe An no exorcist in its own ways.

Dog X Scissors remains one of my favorite anime in this season. Holy hell it's out there and some of the tone shifts are gut wrenching, but damn if I don't want to see more.

It might annoy me, but Slaanesh loves anime! Who do you think's on the other end of all those tentacles?

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

A titan showdown this Saturday in Attack on Titan.
It really should be Sunday. I don't know why.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Tyranids. And additionally I would take no joy in your annoyance from me injecting anime into my gaming. (had to laugh at that one)

Ok so I've started watching 'girls BRAVO!', all I can think so far is :O_o whaaaaaat?

Still have to watch the final 2 episodes of black lagoon: second barrage. But does anyone else have the problem of not wanting to watch the final episode of a series that you really really enjoyed, because they get a little grumpy at the thought that once it's over it's over, and there isn't going to be another series so that's it, finito, game over man...

I digress, a little tip for UK Netflix-using anime-fan Dakkanauts, as soon as you can get onto the US version, oh-so-much-more anime than the UK one (they have a deal with funimation)

I do the opposite. I will charge headlong into that final episode because I am really into that show. Really enjoy the episode. Then feel apathetic afterwards when it is over. (with the accompanied "Huh, it's over." or some version of it) Compared to a show that I have gotten INTO where it ends and I am just like "ok, what do I watch next?".

Bad ass. Not busty. I have owned hamsters more combat effective then Yoko. I need a stupidly lethal fictional character who performs feats that shouldn't be possible in real life.

I'm working on a panel with a buddy for a con next year!

You know, there aren't that many snipers in anime, as odd as it may sound.

The only one that comes to mind is that guy in Trigun, with the crazy ass long (and I mean looooooooong) barreled rifle.

If background info is allowed, Balalaika certainly counts. "Balalakai" is a nickname; it's the slang term for sniper rifle, and she got such a moniker for her prowess with a rifle.

Nah I need crazy long distance shots with stupid high kill counts, the real world competition for the anime sniper scored over 700 confirmed kills in under 100 days and the Soviet Army leveled entire grid squares with artillery barrages trying to find him. I might do a compilation of snipers from anime, then do a "combo hero" of Simo Häyhä and Carlos Hathcock (the 700 confirmed kills guy above and the man who invented modern sniping/held the world long distance confirmed shot record for the better part of 40 years)

Balalaika could be a fun comparison for a ridiculously bad ass gangster. She's one of my favorites.

Ah, I just remembered two sniper type characters.

Seras Victoria - Uses an anti-tank rifle (sniper rifle to a vampire) as a primary weapon

Rip Van Winkle - Uses a magi-tech flintlock rifle that fires homing bullets that can pierce multiple guys and even wreck aircraft.
