I think they might play with Marielle and Naotsugu for a while, and the Shiroe/Akatsuki/Henrietta triangle seems like it could run for a while...
I just hope no-one's shipping Serara and Nyanta too hard

Ya finally an episode of Log Horizon worth watching. The series really died for me a while back, and I was really starting to lose interest. Looks like things are starting to pick up again, probably not for very long though : (
Spoiler:
to be honest I don't really care about the Crusty Princess relationship, way to much screen time devoted to that.
Okay guys, if you haven't watched any D-frag episode, give it a try. I nearly cried with laughter after today's ep, the humor of this anime is so frenetic, all characters are so wacky, even the small joke after the preview is crazy

Why do you taunt me so. I have seen every episode and I am going to be watching it after dinner. This makes me sooo impatient.
D-frag is definitely a very funny series. Wacky things just keep happening and how could you resist Takao...
nope, can't.

I've been out of the loop for several weeks. I'm behind on Space Dandy, Kill La Kill, and it's been a while since I watched any Gundam Wing. Exams are almost done for me, a few more days and I'm free to do some marathons!! Can't wait!!
I decided to watch episode 1 of One Piece after hearing so much about it, and it's pretty fun!
Oooh boy... One Piece. It's an interesting one, it is.
Starts out pretty slow, actually. It's kinda interesting how it consistently ramps up arc to arc.
It's also ridiculously long. Probably one of the only Manga-to-Anime series where the Manga keeps pace with the Anime- there's no filler (or the filler's so well done that it doesn't seem like filler). You're watching it on the Official One Piece website, right? Has both subbed and dubbed available (dubs are available later than the subs, though), and it's both free and supports the legit owners.
But yeah. One Piece is what you do when you have an entire summer you wanna get rid of. But, though it doesn't start as OTT as things like Kill La Kill or Gurren Lagann, it does in fact build up to that point- and you get to know the characters throughout.

I just streamed it off some random site. I don't know if I'll get into it full-on, I did some research and there are like 600 episodes, I mean that will take me years to watch in my free time, hah!
I just watch all my anime by streaming it from the net. I have infinite bandwidth so it's a non-issue for me and it's convenient as I can do it from any device.
No, One Piece has a TON of filler in it, it's just usually well written into the story or they make little story arcs out of it that are usually on par with the main story line. I think the only filler arc I skipped was because they were telling a main arc, then kind of stopped in the middle to go "Oh, this reminds me of this one guy who did something similar in the past, let's have a dozen episode flashback to talk about this completely unrelated event!" and I just said screw that and skipped it to get back to the main story.
I generally don't mind filler that are story arcs unto themselves, like I dob't even hate the Bleach fillers like the Bounts that everyone else seems to dislike. It's just the Naruto one hundred episodes of single, Maybe two parter, filler episodes in a row thing that Really irks me.

Well, to change the topic of One Piece a bit, I started watching Mawaru Penguindrum as a way to another anime knocked out before another episode of Kill La KIll comes out.
Knowing Ikuhara (and this), it seems the ride is just beginning (and it is going to one hell of a fun ride I hope):

I watched some of One Piece back when I used to play wow. Any kind of farming, or repetitive questing.. well anything other than raids I guess. Neither was really engaging enough to require full time attention, so it was a good synergy. Most shows you can watch a full episode or two to get down the art style and who's voice goes where, then you don't really need to watch every frame, just glance over when something happens.
I thought I was going to be watching through naruto again since my toddler presented me with the DVD to watch. I think she was more interested in the bright orange case though =/ Oh well, I've got tuning out Yo Gabba Gabba down to a science...
You know AduroT... I think that one arc that you're talking about is actually from the Manga. It was the one where it's Luffy, Ace and whats his face as kids, right?
See, I got into One Piece from the Manga, so I kinda devoured it about a hundredfold faster than you can watch the manga, and so when I'm revisiting it I just skip over certain bit if they're getting too boring (like Alabasta, which drags on forever.)
I'm a bit of a One Piece fanboy, actually. Well, as much as I get into any fannon. It's just fascinating as a character-driven story (which it is) that's kept going for so long (you see a major chunk of the main character's lives, really) and just keeps ramping up the OTT during the action. It's like a trifecta of Anime.
In other news- there's apparently a new Eureka anime? Anyone watched it yet? Any good? I'm also a big fan of Eureka 7. It got especially good after I watched it for the 5th time and finally figured out what it was actually about.

No, I actually watched that one. The one I skipped was during the prison break story line. They spend a bunch of episodes saying that no one has ever ever ever broken out,it's super impossible, then stop to tell a flashback story about the one guy who broke out that one time. Only the story wasn't about him breaking out, it was a different story of a different time where that guy happened to meet the Straw Hat Crew.

I know what you mean. Takao is ridiculous. Ever since that character first showed up, when she shows up, my heart melts. Calling her adorable doesn't do her justice.
Funny enough, I really don't like One Piece. I tried watching it once before and after 50 or so episodes I gave up, I have no patience for a show with so many episodes; Nonetheless, I have nothing but praise for OP and it's author. Sure, I don't like it, but I respect the huge ammount of imagination that series has, something quite rare, and the author is unbelivable, his plot and story telling skills are out of this world.
A pity I just can't stand it

OI! It was self-defense! Gendo clearly assaulted Rei with nasty thoughts in mind, Rei defended herself! It's not her default the side-effect was the reboot of the entire human race! It was perfectly justified!
