Alright, so I came back from the first day of my first anime con. Took a lot of pictures of cosplays and got some items, but I think some might get a kick out of being a bit silly with a Satsuki cosplayer (in silly, I mean acting as if I lost to her). And well...just doing silly things as well...

Acting? What, acting, no magical girl / boy / trap / futa's ass stands a chance against the mighty Satsuki.
Satsuki is Love.
Satsuki is Life.
Satsuki is GOD.
And your Mami cosplay sucks because:
Spoiler:
You still have your head attached to your neck Nah, I kid, you look very gentleman like, I almost expect you to shout "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!" and "Tally-oh, old chap!"

Haha, good one on ya. But thanks. Also, I might plan to put up some more pictures later of things of I got in another link just so I do not get in trouble here and other cosplays (although there are certain 'things' I might not be able to show as well. ).

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios
I think the pacing is a little better if you are able to watch it straight through.
In my case watching it piece by piece got a little offbase with the pacing.
Hopefully Season 2 won't have the problem, which I think might have been caused by tentativeness on the part of the studio.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

We can only hope...
Ya know, Black Bullet's MC is far too soft:
Spoiler:
I think I would have shot the fether multiple times. Shooting a loli like that, melon-fether should have been flayed alive. Same thing for the cops some eps. ago, they too deserved a gruesome torture.
Ah well, all worked out in the end: the Loli Harem has increased, AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICE!
Soul Eater NOT! surprised me:
Spoiler:
We are actually getting some drama with likable characters cutting their own neck in our moe-like anime? The Gorgon sister is actually showing up decent amounts of time and fething gak up?
Well, I'm impressed.

How did those two guys even hold the cyborg man machine down like that? Shoot him? Pft... I'd have tossed those two lackeys aside and then popped the main guys head like a zit with my robot arm after what he did.
Also, I was super disappointed in Soul Eater. Not for the plot, that's going super. I disliked the fight scene for being super lazily animated which is odd because they usually animate up some awesome fight choreography which is one of my favorite aspects to the series.
Oh, I know what you mean, I too was surprised with how crappy looking the fight looked.
Spoiler:
When Maka was wielding Soul to block Eternal Feather it looked so damn crappy. The old SW movies had better choreography than that. What shock me the most is how Eternal Feather's animation was ace when it was only her. That arm was moving like crazy, pulling all kinds of stunts to simulate a butterfly knife, it looked damn good.

It's not tha bad actuely. The boobs and panties are... Very overstated. But the comedy is good and watching a half naked chick stabbing zombies wit a samerai sword while riding on top of an armoured vehicle is relevant to my interests. Wait, what?
You have always been such a wet blanket AduroT. I found it enjoyable when I watched it years and years ago. I remember the girl being super way to cute and not tramatised about the death of her parents.

I admit, if there was one part I loved was when they were driving the hum-vee, the gun-nut was sniping zombies and the girl was riding on top with almost nothing but an apron and wielding her Katana.
That was so over-the-top I fething loved it so damn much.
The only other zombie scene I ever saw that even compares was in the most recent Resident Evil Zombie: A fething Red Army zombie riding on the open-topped part of a pickup truck with the red star (obviously being driven by another zombie), wielding a rocket launcher... AND EVERYTHING WAS ON FIRE.
And they had Zombies carrying heavy machine guns while riding a bike.
When I saw that scene I was stunned by the sheer awesome it was. Over-the-top just makes me happy.
Oh, and yes, HotD really has plenty of ecchi action, but me being the pervert I am, I don't mind it one bit

There's also the scene in the first episode where a fat guy jumps out of a window and explodes.
Or the orgy mobile in a later episode.
Or that bath part in the sixth episode.
Not to mention the awesomeness of running on zombies' heads.
or, yeah, the chick seeing only an apron because she 'couldn't find any other clothes.' even thoe they were in the blonde one's apartment.
The series is good for gaks and giggles, but if you're expecting anything serious then you may as well leave.
Ooh, another one: the scene in episode something or rather when the main guy uses his love interest's boobs to help compensate for the recoil on a sniper rIfle.
Oh, and every time the fat guy does the serious face of seriousness.
I like turtles *nose bleed*.
They redid the entire series in HD, redrawn and voiced. Its called Berserk: The golden age. It is divided into 3 arcs (3 movies) that are brutal and follow the anime really closely.

Yes, well, maybe it didn't have the huge amount of humor / ecchi as the usual, but it had feels... so many of them...
Spoiler:
With Sora's speech about humanity, when they really find out what the Old King was up to, when Steph is holding his book with all the knowledge he managed to gather and crying her eyes out.
FEELS, SO MANY OF THEM.

Now that school is over I got the chance to catch up on this season's anime. Irregular Magic High School has impressed me so far. I still have to catch up on some other ones like black bullet. I did get to watch the final episode of MSG Unicorn though. SOO GOOD
Spoiler:
Lot's of cool new mech and weapons designs. The quality of the art was a nice addition to
Soooo, yesterday on Knights of Sidonia I read the following line: "Destroy the planet. I want an exterminatus." And exterminatus was done.
I felt warm and fuzzy inside when I read that and sure enough, KoS universe is pretty GRIMDARK.

Like so many before them, they relised the weakness of those whos faith was misdirected. If they had only prayed to the God Emperor, they would have certainly destroyed all xenos without a doubt that any escaped.
I have just seen The Wind Rises, Hayao Miyazaki's final film before retirement unless he changes his mind.
As usual for Studio Ghibli it looks awesome, though there are a few shots that look computer generated and stand out by their digital "shininess" compared to the hand animation. The only really bad thing is the subtitles, which are badly done and hard to read on pale backgrounds. They weren't by Ghibli though.
The historical plot is a lot more sombre than most Studio Ghibli films, taking us on a life journey in Japan in the 20s and 30s. The central character, Jiro, starts as a boy whose voice is not yet broken. His ambition is to be a pilot but, due to bad eyesight, he decides to train as a engineer and after university goes to work at Mitsubishi's aeroplane design company.
WW2 therefore is on our minds throughout, and is prefigured in the scenes of destruction of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, during which Jiro meets his future wife. Various events and pieces of dialogue hint at rising militarism and slide into war.
The climax of the film however is the successful test flight of the predecessor design to the Zero Sen, after which the story's themes are resolved in a short final scene set at the end of the war.
I left the cinema slightly conflicted. While the film addresses the same themes -- growing up, love, and the meaning of life -- as other Miyazaki films, it is rather sad and you can't help feeling that it is in a way a celebration of a weapon designer. On reflection I realised that view is wrong.
Jiro's ambition is to design beautiful aeroplanes. His military work is forced on him by the spirit of the times in which he lives, and he always dreams of building beautiful civilian aircraft, an ambition that historically came true after the war and the end of this film.
The true message is that malignant forces such as militarism may distort life, but should not crush people's striving for happiness.
