Finished Deathnote.

While I expected the ending, I still really enjoyed it.

It was such a terribly emo

death scene
, but fairly appropriate for the show.

Ha, I'll definitely agree with that.

Spoiler:
And I loved that Ryuk did actually write his name in the book like he said he would.

Totally 100% got what he deserved, no rest in heaven or hell seems appropriate for someone who tried to do what he did. Not to mention all of the blatant douchebaggery!

Spoiler:
And you know, I still had some feels about him dying, despite the fact he was a huuuuuge douche canoe

Also, if you're interested, the prequel book, Death Note: Another Note - The Los Angeles BB Murder Case has been pretty good. Written in the similar fashion as the anime/manga.

I'm only four chapters in, but I've definitely enjoyed it. The girlfriend has already finished it, and she loved it. The ending is apparently quite surprising, but there's clues and hints at every crime scene; so if you pay enough attention, you might be able to connect the dots (according to her).

My mom has always said the same thing, apparently i did not inherit the connecting the dots gene. I usually just watch events unfold, make guesses if it seems appropriate, and enjoy the twist when it hits.

Like rub my face with bacon while listening to whale music awesome.

I also just finished watching the whole first season and I agree it was pretty damn good. It felt very much like the first Macross series, but with enough new touches and mystery to make it feel unique and interesting.

Anyone who has netflix and likes anime should be watching this already.

I've watched the first four episodes, and it's definitely been interesting. The only issue is with the animation. It's just...bad sometimes. Everything else makes up for it, though. Can't wait to watch more.

I think the animation got better as they did more episodes. Near the end, either I was completely used to it or everything seemed much better. The fight scenes in particular were glorious, both mechs and humans vs humans (You'll see what I mean).

I tried watching it and quit after like 3 minutes, I'd have less trouble watching that old starship troopers animation, at least that was fluid.

So, just saw episode 3 of Shirogane no ishi: Argevollen.

Quickly get sick of this one, every situation so far could've been solved by something extremely simple. Air support.

Sidonia's alright. I didn't dislike it but I don't think it's as good as others. As said the animation isn't very good. I also dislike how so many of the characters look so much alike I had a hard time telling his harem apart quite often. The fights are meh, with just guys flying thru space shooting at each other and not much interaction or choreography. Story is good, though it feels like it wants to be Attack on Titan but with a less original premise and less interesting characters. For all the picking it apart though, it Was entertaining and I did watch all of it.

The new OP matches up pretty damn well for Moonlight Densetsu...

Yeah.. that sounds pretty familiar though it's been a decade or better since i've heard the original song.

The show looks like it cleans up nice, but i dunno if i could get into it, i may be past the point where i can handle Tuxedo Mask.

Wow there's something seriously wrong with you. I would go all the way with Tuxedo Mask on the first date every time

His name is TUXEDO MASK, so freaking suave

Just to be clear, the new OP song is Moon Pride not Moonlight Densetsu, that was just setting the new OP animation to the classic theme.

Is the animation actually that washed out, or is that just the opening being an opening?

All i can think while i watch that opening is that they're going to catch bugs if they keep walking around with their mouths slightly open like that.
