I'm gonna bank those up for awhile, i like to watch shows in the largest chunks as possible. That's a nice function of this thread, helps me remember shows i've left off for awhile.

Yeah, I'm doing that with Haikyuu, and a few others.

Nice choice but there's no way I could do that with Haikyuu. I had no idea an anime about volleyball could be this damn good, but they did it

Its so difficult hearing everyone talk about the new awesome shows... Must resist! I hate having to wait for new episodes. Must resist until the seasons over

So I'm loving Aldnoah Zero, great mech designs, a bad ass MC with an enjoyable and very realistic supporting cast all wrapped up in a delicious OST. This last episode was freaking awesome tool. I hope they keep this current concept of a squad of "regular" troops taking out a squad of super mechs. Also this whole crazy character development thing.

Rail Wars continues to impress as well, providing all sorts of decent action and character development all while not managing to over do it on the fan service.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

Just got done with Gankutsuou, was not (Mostly) disappointed.

They did leave a giant bomb of a twist out of it, despite mentioning it in passing several times. I'd give it a recommend though.

Spoiler:
Why didn't they tell Albert he was Edmond's son?

I'm still iffy on the mech art style, but besides that I really like it to. The squad tactics were definitely cool, but it's really important to become attached or at least familiar with a good number of characters. Its only on episode 3 right now so its still early, but from we have already been introduced to several different characters. As long as they all get some screen time it should be good

Yeah, really enjoying it too so far, way better then Argevollen.

Also, we are three episodes into SAO2 and I'm already getting annoyed, the new main character has one of the worst premises and is just boring as feth. Meanwhile, the guys I actually wanted to watch this anime for has spent the last 3 episodes eating cake and doing feth all. I'm already losing interest.

I'm with you on losing interest in SAO2, it really needs to pick up in the next episode because there's a lot better I could be watching.

I watched Death Note over last week, and although I knew what'd happen in the end, it was excellent. Although...

Spoiler:
When L was killed, it took all the good out of the anime, Near just didn't match up to L despite getting the job done in catching Light.

I even bought my first ever manga at the weekend in the form of Death Note, which is pretty dang cool.

Yep, after the first Arc Deathnote becomes boring and stale IMO.

As to the death note comments, I agree! The first half was pretty watchable but yeah...

From what my girlfriend was telling me, Death Note was end after the first story arc, but was continued due to popularity*. The second arc was alright, but I'll agree that it was a little stale by the end of the series.

*Similar to Supernatural after Season 5, if you watch that show.

You guys have such high standards. Going into SAO expecting nothing really allows me to watch it and enjoy it. Heck. if it beats Argevollon. it's good enough to watch. That failed the 3 episode trial with EVERY SINGLE episode being a pain to watch that I'm just gona drop it. It s a pity. The background seemed much better than the characters and it really let the show down.

No, I have limited time and don't tend to waste it on things I don't enjoy. I prefer high standards over wasting time.

I still think you guys are all insane, disliking SAO. I haven't watched any of the second season, but if it's anything like the first, I think I'll enjoy it.

I'm actually enjoying this third season a lot. I like the girl, she has a genuine trauma, the setting is being fleshed out each episode (seriously, it costs money every time they log?! Madness!) and I can't wait to see more "PEW PEW" action because that second episode...

Spoiler:
I fething love miniguns!

But the second season... how can I explain it .. maybe a pic will help ...

I don't think anyone can say that Elf land online was good. It was pretty dam bad really. rape, check. fake incest, check. OP main character, check. Season 3 seems to have learned a bit but since all we have had is character introduction, I think it could be much worse than what we have had so far.

Wut? What feels? The silly "let's treat this trauma with something that clearly isn't working so the main character can have some arbitrary goal that in no way can impact the actual trauma"?

I tried watching Fairy Tail (117 episodes) due to my brother trying to get me into it, but I can't say it was good (In my humble opinion).

It's just another one of those "Good Guys Always Win For Reasons" Anime that's really annoying.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Seemed a lot like one piece, but with 'wizards'! Instead of 'pirates'! Enjoyed it well enough, sometimes I want something somewhat serious, sometimes its a good day to watch fairy tail (or similar).

Plus, the music goes great with skyrim.

Well, this is a bit off-topic, but I figured I should share this here since, I dunno, I suspect everyone knows how much of a fething fanboy I am for Lady Satsuki . Anyway, this was the first combat squad I completed with a paint scheme I based on her. At first , it was a bit different (you can see the test model in the gallery) but I didn't enjoy the end result too much, so I had to repaint them all over again. (Fun fact: It was an absolute PAIN to free-hand the chapter symbol... curved surfaces, ugh, I hate you)

Spoiler:

For now I have other pics in the gallery, I'll have to update a P&M blog later on. (In other pics you can see they are a bit darker than what they appear in the group photos)
