Apparently Aniplex has the nickname Aniprice.

That is why. Thank Mork for online surveys

Hah, talk about using that bending stuff to greater effect! I always thought the blood-bending was kind of stupid, all she had to do was make an aneurism or something, not make them into puppets.

Might have to look into that show.

The Dragon King's Temple has a little about the potential of Bone-bending for Earthbenders. (amazing fic, by the way- crossover between SG1 (stargate) and Avatar- all such fics are, strangely, fantastic).

Seriously? I've never had any issues with it at all, and it tends to be higher quality and faster streaming than pirate sites.

Anywhoo- on anime- I'm actually really enjoying Fate:Zero right now. Though for the life of me I can't understand why they made Aleksander the Great, arguably one of the most historically bishounen conquerers ever- into a 7 foot tall red-haired, boistrous bearded giant. And then go an make Gilgamesh all bishounen instead.

And why is Arthur female? There's literally no plot-based reason for that, except for making Gilles mistake her for Joan. There's nothing that demands her to be, well, a her. It's bizarre.

Maybe they changed it. But I really used to hate having to use it. The website I watch Korra and my Anime on had great players without slow buffer and good quality

So just finished Asura Cryin'.

Spoiler:
With how much of a fuss they were making over people dying if they used their powers, one of the characters becoming human and the other being taken out of the mech was rather disappointing. I figured Misao would use up all her soul or Kanade would Vanish. Also, main villains who kill TONS OF PEOPLE get off scott free, the Daughters were basically consigned to death, and after professing his love to Kanade, Tomoharu can't decide between Misao or Kanade? FETH THAT ENDING.

Must be Knights of Sidonia. The animation at the begining is very rough, but whoever was working on it got the hang of it and by the end it's stunning.

The universe and plot are damn good. Keep watching, you won't regret it! I know people who gave up after ep1 because they couldn't stand the animation.

Well people, today I finally reached Tokyo and because I'm the nerd ya know, I was burning with curiosity and my first stop was Akihabara. I am going to give my impression as calm and collected as I can:

"Holy gak! Holy gak!! I've died and gone to heaven! And if this isn't heaven I now know I must keep taking care of myself so I can live longer and visit it more often!! Holy gak!!"

Seriously, anyone who's an anime fan has to make a visit at least once... Collectible stores with 8 floors, hobby stores, 6F arcades, computer stuff everywhere, hell! Got myself some sweet eva 00 headphones and funny enough, first store I enter I find 2 of my favorite ero-doujins. YOINK, mine!

I've been wanting to check out Kara no Kyoukai, I don't understand what it is about from the description though. Is it like a mystery?

It's a sort of supernatural mystery yeah. Although i'm 6 films in and i'm still pretty sure i only get about 2/3 of whats going on Although that could just be me. And even if you don't get what's going on it's very pretty to look at/listen to

Haha thank you I'll have to check it out! I don't mind not fully understanding what's going on. Spoiling something for youself by figuring it out to early is something I try to avoid. Scooby doo was good practice

On a side note I sat down and watched tales of the earth sea. Pretty awesome film, really good generic fantasy film that reminds me why I love the genre

Almost finished Deathnote, and am waiting for the next episode of Tokyo Ghoul and finished Elfen Lied and Attack on Titan. They are all exceptional animes and some of the best plots and characters I have ever seen. And some of the animation is exceptional and beautiful to say the least.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves a more hard hitting show.

I don't get Tokyo Ghoul - I watched 3 eps and enjoyed the animation but not the story line.

Without spoiling any details - does the narrative objectively get better later on / build up?

I know its not an anime but I have just finished reading the manga Shitsurakuen...loved everything but the ending...that was pretty toilet in my opinion, there was potential but I feel they wasted it, but oh well.

On that note can anyone recommend a good Shoujo-Ai anime?

From what I saw, yes.

Spoiler:
But so far it was mostly how he is starting to get the hang of his new ghoul-life while facing the many dangers associated with it. Some ghouls are way crazier than others.

The universe is pleasantly detailed. But truth be honest, this is pretty much "vampires with a twist".

Yeah, I'll echo this. Though to be honest, the guys I find most interesting so far aren't the ghouls. It's the doves.

I hate it when shows have more interesting side characters... look at Bleach, Ichigo is boring, almost everyone else is neater. Say what you will about Naruto, at least he learned how to do more than 'change clothes and move fast(er)'.

Ya I agree with you on this, I prefer more of a cast of main characters that are all interesting. Not to be confused with the common theme where the main character is a bland blank slate like some Visual Novel dating sim

Kind of goes back to RPGs where the main character was mute. I mean, I like chronotrigger and chrono... but all he ever does is stare blankly at people or nod... waddafux?

haha ya exactly, I always hated that in the pokemon games to. But if it's a video game and the character is literally that blank of a slate, like where you are supposed to be that character, I don't mind it. That makes sense since it allows you to fill in the blanks and say whatever you want, since it's supposed to be you. In an anime it's annoying because I'm not role playing as the main character

Yeah why is this? IS IT

1) TMC is meant to be fantasy projection fodder?
2) They don''t want you to risk not liking TMC (and make him norm-core) - but if you have like a whole other caste then you will probs like at least one of them??
3) Other reasons a silly gaijin will not understand?

Actually, I just ate a bunch of peanuts (Which I'm allergic to) and started coughing up blood (Which is my reaction. It's not as serious as it sounds, don't worry) so

It did take a while to get into it, but it was relatively rewarding for doing so (Of the non-Trigun/Fullmetal animes I've seen, this one definitely had some of the best characterization I've ever seen.) I especially love/hate the Shur/Tomoharu scene right off the bat; "Give me your hand" *Places his hand on her breast* "This world was destroyed once". Because those two things totally have anything in common with eachother

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
