Dang you netflix!
Why is episode 3 of GITS: Arise "not available"!
Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
I'm just gonna assume no one's head explodes from getting punched so I am not interested...
Its GITS. Punches may very well result in head explosions.
And since I can't watch it, I guess I'll start Psycho-pass.

Of course its mostly the Major destroying her own body in the process of beating the crap out of someone/something, ripping the hatch off a tank, or fighting a big mech.

Anvildude wrote: AduroT, why do you use Crunchyroll for RWBY? Why not just watch on the RoosterTeeth website? No delay (it's their own site!) and it doesn't have the janky advert placement Crunchyroll does to the episodes. (seriously, letting the whole opening play through and the episode start, only to break for an ad in the middle of someone's sentence? Not cool, Crunchy.)
I don't remember... Must have had problems with their video player working on my phone, which I should mention is a Major determining factor in which sites I use, as 95%+ of the tv and anime and movies I watch are on my phone at work. For RWBY on the Crunchyroll iPhone app there's just one short ad played before the opening song starts, and no interruptions of the episode once it's going, and has a nice video quality. I wish they had an ad supported, non-week delayed option, but the either pay or wait an extra week keeps me from watching anything else there.

Well Kenshiro punched a tank to explosion and walked away like it was nothing...he wins

NO! HUGHES!
this anime keeps punching me right in the feels. right in the feels.
Full metal is from 2009. I consider it to be classic mostly because the original is even older. Still, it make me laugh at people flipping out over something that an anime vet has seen way way long ago.

That one was my first real anime death. I had seen Steve Blum's 1st character in Naruto die, but he wasn't the same as Mae Hughes. Didn't cry ,but I was utterly shocked

my first real anime death was ichiro in vampire knight. oh vampire knight, how i used you to cleanse twilight from my brain.
and then more rescently, dracula: untold.
ooh it got me again, crap guys if this keeps you I'm gonna cry. The only time i have ever done that to a form of fiction was I am legend. and that was because of my dog's condition. anyway, it's two in the morning and I'm just starting ep 39. crap, whelp, i ain't gonna be sleeping anytime soon.
also, RWBY.

- The "OH HAI! *NOM*" scene where blondie loses her head.
The revelation what the witches and the body of girls truly are
- The final fight between the time mage and the mega witch
Really made me like the anime, I just don't think it was as fantastic as the "internet" says.
Oh, and the art style for me is nothing short of superb: The normal animation already has some interesting differences, but the animation when they enter the "witch world" just blows me away every time.
"Fear is freedom! Subjugation is liberation! Contradiction is truth! These are the truths of this world! Surrender to these truths, you pigs in human clothing!" - Satsuki Kiryuin, Kill la Kill
Closing in to finishing Ouran high School Host Club, 6 episodes left.
Will probably start Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood when I finish host club.
All I can say is waiting weekly for anime episodes was something I hated when I was younger and still hate them now... Curse you Naruto and Hitsugi No Chaika: Avenging Battle
When the rich rage war it's the poor who die
Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves
Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar
Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

Aye, the first time they went into a Labyrinth... so out there while also being very well done. I also dont find it to be the "end all" anime some seem to tote it as but it is pretty damn good!

1 - If anyone is close-minded enough to judge an entire piece of media like Anime because of one specific genre, I am more than happy they stay the feth away from it altogether. Magical girl genre doesn't give anime a bad name, it's a genre, it's the close minded asses that decided because it exists, all of it must be bad.
2 - Nope, perfectly legit It happened the same to me when I saw FMA: Brotherhood. IMHO, it's so much frakking better.

Probably because Hollywood doesn't really do Cyberpunk that well. It would almost have to be indie to have proper story and atmosphere, but then you wouldn't be able to get the magnificent effects and backdrops that it also deserves.
Nah, you just haven't seen a proper Magical Girl anime- or rather, the good ones.
For example, Kill la Kill could be argued to be a Magical Girl anime- transformation scenes, a primarily female cast, villains that act holier-than-thou, the power of love and friendship conquering all...
Also, Lyrical Nanoha- though many say that's actually a Mecha anime disguised as a Magical Girl anime.
And Magical Girl series can spawn some fantastic fan-works. There's this one beautiful fanfiction about Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) reading the Koran to jihaadists- seriously, it sounds bizarre, but it's really, really well written. And one of my favorite crossover fanfics is half Sailor Moon as well (the other half is Harry Potter, but honestly, it's the combination of the different magical systems that really drives a lot of the drama).
