Good Final weekend ( except getting called in for work )

Finished the last painting details. Basing, List building & printing of said list.

Everything packed. I have 6 bags of figures.. 2 Lamenters Battlefoam bags , 2 World Eaters, 1 container of 5 Imperial Knights, and a container for the Reaver Titan.

All the books assembled.. SM codex, rule book, IK book, 2 red HH books. Templates ( including Apoc ones ) Dice, MODCUBES !!, Cards for maelstome & Psychics. Camera Batteries charged. All I need is clothes packed and I'm set.

So what's in the works.. I bought the Ultra Marine Primarch that I'm going to lamenterize. Started removing the UM symbols on the shoulder, Took some of the over excessive trim off both knees, groin, butt and thigh plates. I'll probably do him in Lamenter yellow but will need to watch what I do with the remaining metal trim as I don't want to just look like a yellow/gold blur. It'll be a option when I play my Lamenters using the SM codex.

I'd love to see your take on Robute - Lamenters fashion.

You could always run him has Malekim Phoros from the Badab War IA books, although I'm not sure how affective he is

I play a lot of games with the SM vanilla codex, so It's just another option. Since I'll run him with his Primarch Stats; it should at least look like it belongs to the army.

Much to ponder.. not high on the priority list. A lot will depend on how much and what I decide to pick up at Adepticon... So far I have a few HH tanks I'd like to get; but we'll see. Currently the plan is to start a completely new army this summer then on to filling in my Alpha Legion this fall.

Unless something arises, this is it till I return from Adepticon. Any Wardens needing to contact me give me a call. See you after the Dance!

I'm new around here, and I've just trawled one of the most interesting and - apologies for the cliche - inspiring threads on the ol' internet. Your work is fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing more in the ~future.

Good luck at Adepticon!

Thanks for stopping by GP.. Dakka has an amazing collection of blogs with inspiring stuff.

Not sure what's next.. still recovering from AC. You can check out the 'Wardens Adepticon Post event blog' for highlights

So now that Adepticon is over I stat getting back to the normal.. Whatever that is. So what on for the year ahead ( my year always starts after Adepticon..BAC or AAC.

Bought a bunch more terrain at AC, More of the Death Ray Designs SM collection. SO I guess that should be the first as I hadn't gotten to the stuff I bought last year. More Glue, more paint.
After that I have a 40k 1000 son army I'd like to use against my mates Space wolves. I got a a bunch purchased but I need to develop a list to work off of.
As I just completed a World Eater army for a friend I literally bought 2 of everything so I have a matching slew of them to do .. 80 troops, Anvillus drop Pod, 2 contemptor dreads including a siege leviathan. 3 Land raiders, LR Spartan
Land speeder , Jet bikes and lots of special weapon squads. This years big Adepticon purchase was the Super Heavy Typhon tank. ( basically a vindicator on a LR body )

Was given a couple of MKIII Land raiders in the box as well as some early original Rhino's and an open top 1st generation RB. A first plastic Land speeded and a complete box with models of the 1st ed. box set ' Space crusade' . Funny static scouts with HB as big as they are. The old Nids ( with the skinny necks.. too funny.

Picked up some Arena Rex figures and handed them off to Ramos. The Medusa character that will be converted to St. Celestine and and the serpent figure that will be used as a demon prince in 40K.
Lastly got some bases for my eventual Mechanicus army and the pair of the FW event only models (both 30K).

Keep buying so I'll just keep painting... Stay tuned.

Started on all the 'Death Ray Designs' SM Terrain.
In all I have 2 foundry's, 1 HQ, 3 Barracks, 6 pillboxes. 2 bunkers, a mess of smaller peices.

When complete I'll put them all out on my board along with all my tank farm terrain and see what kind of table I can build.

Started the day right by spending time in the shop only to gett called from work.. ~sigh~

Managed to get 1 Foundry and the 3 Barracks put together and primed black. I'll paint them to match the rust world all my other terrain is painted like. I'll Lamenter the doors so they at least connect to my Chapter.

Weekend work. Built and primed the SM terrain.. still some pieces to do . Tank traps, walls ect…

WIP Landing Pad. This will have the Lamenters Heart in the center then weathered.

Couple of shots with all the terrain on it with all the tank pieces on it.

Now to start the detail work. The doors to all the pieces will be in Lamenter Yellow as well as the windows. Lots of metallic work to do. They match well with my other terrain.

Wow, that is a boatload of terrain and it all looks so good. I would love to see a battle report using these when you are finished.

The last 2 pics are on a 4x8 table & it pretty crowded. I've a few more larger pieces to do in addition.

Unfortunately they will only get used if someone treks out to my place in rural Wisconsin or I pack it up and bring it some where. Still I have it when ever I want to use it.

Beautiful work so far SL, we'll need to talk about how you're painting it & keeping your sanity in the process.

Warmer weather means I'll soon be scaling back some. So I'll do a little bit here and there. Eventually it'll get done.

Thanks.. Yeah when laid out I didn't realize there was so much. And there is more I haven't put together. Not alot of pressure to get things completed now that AC is over. Would like to get some games in though!

They are not hard to put together and once you got the basic construction layout, the rest of the pieces follow suit. The small card detail sheets that are used on all the panels are well thought out and drastically improve the look . Very happy with these for sure. Now to get a decent closely colored Mat.

I have nothing planned till the weekend. So updates to follow.
