A bit of progress on the lord - I'm considering entering him into The Fang (nordic GW paint comp) this saturday, if I can get him done:

I love the shade of pink you've got there! How did you do it?

The paint helped me realize just how masterful a conversion you've created. There are absolutely no seam lines at all.

The paint also struck me that the Hive Fleet has finally figured out what to do w/ all of the Space Marine gene seed they have been devouring. Gentlemen, welcome to the next generation of Genestealers. You may cry if you wish.

I can't correctly put into words my specific feelings on the actual paint job. Even incomplete is awe-inspiring. You are an incredibly skilled and accomplished artist.

Thanks a lot, everyone. I didn't manage to get him finished, real life getting in the way, etc, but for the past few days I've been working on a Tzeentch defiler for a buddy who's starting a thousand sons army - I've been wanting to do one of these for a long time, so I offered to do it for the price of the parts. It's not the most original idea, but I like it.

I think it looks great. But does it only have four legs? Nothing ring with that, but was it to cu down on the size or just to keep six limbs all together?

I haven't caught up on this thread for far too long. Excellent work, as always.

I know it was a while ago, but can I ask about your forgefiend conversion? Specifically, what was involved in shoulder-mounting those guns? It looks great. That tongue is a brilliant touch, too.

I now have to start a Chaos army

Also where is the Inquisimunda acolyte from? I've got a conversion planned for a radical Witch Hunters retinue and that body would work perfectly for his Executioner!

Hi everyone! And thanks for the congratulations on the WD feature - it's a bit of a childhood dream, from back when WD was worth spending money on - yes, I'm that old.

I wanted to share a brand spanking new project I've been inspired to work on - Dark Mechanicus! I love Daemon Engines, they're absolutely some of my favorite chaos units, so I thought - why not make an army based on them? These guys are only WIP, but I like where it's going - I've been cutting and gluing bits together all weekend. I'm incredibly inspired regarding the modelling, but I could use some input regarding the colour scheme - all inputs are appreciated.

Here they are, so far: (there will be 7 or 8 machines all in all)

Wow your conversions are so amazing, I could spend ages trying to work out which bits come from what kits.

In regards to colour I'm not sure I would say red and a dark metallic colour but that would be similar to your World Eaters (I think they were Word Eaters without going back a million pages).

Deep, DEEP and dark red with gunmetal and/or black trim? Either way, these guys are looking -amazing- as usual! If you're doing a Dark mechanicus army, then you -have- to include a Warsmith-Iron Warriors are awesome, have close ties to the Dark Mechanicus, are awesome, they -invented- Daemon engines, are awesome, they -still- produce the most Daemon Engines and Obliterators, and did I mention that they're awesome? it'd also be a nice change of pace from all the Pee Marines (AKA Imperial Fists) that've been cropping up on the front page over the past few months. And I just think you could do some really epic stuff with them!

Hmm, perhaps not go for red, seems too much like the normal mechanicus, but also the World Eaters you've already done. What about trying a black scheme, or perhaps brown would be nicer?
