I see a way that you can put an ajustable butstock on there as well/ ALA 240, 249. Then you can make it with a foregrip, as well.
Sniper rifle is awsome, really like that one.
Understand on the cultists. Not really an issue, except if you want to put the larger weapons in thier hands.
good looking weapons, either way.
I'd like one of those sniper rifles to trade out on my reaper model with that BFG, Mark 2.

Haven't been keeping track of this company much since I'm not in the market for marine parts, but I have to say, the newer MOTN stuff is absolutely brilliant.
Particularly like the Fallen Dwarfs, they're so much better looking than the forge world ones, it would be great to see that range expanded to offer blunderbusses, great weapons, elites and artillery.

Almost all Heavy Weapons can be mounted on a Tripod, and a nice looking one might be good.
One thing I have never seen modelled, is a proxy for a NAVAL PISTOL, this was described in the old Inquisitor Book pg 67.
It would basically be a huge/ chunky / Sci -fi Revolver.
I would love some futuristic revolvers similar to that. Ive searched for them before with no good results, even looking to toy action figure lines.
Also...just today I received my order of Steam Lords, and I must say they are great looking bits. Castings are very clean, on par with the Puppets War bits Ive bought, and better than my Chapterhouse tru-scale kits.

Sniper rifles are amazing! Can't wait for this gun range to expand the way I think it will. Possibilities are endless: foregrips, gun shields, bayonets, stocks. And the list goes on!
Something else that would be good would be some flexible gun straps that would fix on to the widowmakers. Don't think anyone sells something like that. (Although maybe Zinge might, seems his type of thing...)
The modular XM8 concept may actually suit a manufacturer Anvil very well - a selection of weapon front and back bits that can be joined in any combination to make whatever weapon style is wanted by the customer. So e.g. the same heavy machine gun could be altered to suit any model from a weedy goblin to a power-armoured mega-soldier by simply choosing the appropriate mounting bits. This would also suit looted/ramshackle-style armies which don't use identical equipment (orks, cultists and similar), making it much easier to arm each soldier in a squad with a different variant of the same gun.

You know what, Clang might be on to something good here. I would never have thought of it, but the modular gun system with multiple options all interconnected would provide some very interesting options.
It was Clang's idea so kudos and credit to him for coming up with an idea that no other producer is doing right now.

Anvils Hammer wrote: Hey Guys,
@Scipio - Yes I will be making some more sensibly proportioned weapons for the gaurdsman range, starting with re-scaled versions of some of the steam lord weapons. They will still be over size, as actual scale guns would be almost invisible on a 28mm scale model, and also a pain to cast properly!
I don't quite mean actual scale (I"ve got a bunch of Eureka Moderns - and yes they're too small for heroic 28mm
But I'm thinking more like Kev White/Hasslefree's excellent modern weapons - real weapons done realsitically enough, but with concessions to the material and scale.
If you were to make some, they probably wouldn't work so well with Steam Lords, but would with a variety of manufacturers, obviously including your own guardsmen and the Iceforge stuff.

Sorry Joel, that's not the one. The one I saw was on the programme "Future Weapons" and looked like a M16/M4 weapon. I have looked on the Discovery channel website and not been able to find a picture of the one I was looking at, but not to worry.
Glad to hear the bipods will be able to be glued on further forward, looks like the items I need to complete my squad are nearing completion. still waiting for the full set of positionable bionics (Legs and arms) then I will put in an order for your heavy widowmaker, sniper rifle, bionics, and possibly a couple of revolvers if the design fits what I am after.
I would also like to see a 'less than bolt gun /shotgun' revolver in the style of that shown previously by mwnciboo. The problem I see with the design you posted, was there is nothing underneath the cylinder, so there is nothing supporting it if it breaks there for loading, nor is there anything visible which would allow the cylingder to swing out for re-loading.

This is more Anti-materiel than a distance thing (Guessing it would be great at Close Quarters crap at 300 yard plus.
Otherwise it could just be a simple Barrel change, from Assault Rifle to Sharpshooter/ Marksman Rifle, which actually a lot of manufacturers are turning to in order to give their customers a simple logisitics system e.g one System with 3 different roles streamlining Military Small arms.

Saw that episode of Future Weapons a couple of weeks ago, and it is still fresh in my mind. The 7.62 SABR.
Spoiler:
Pretty cool concept but I think a little subtle for 28mm.
Also for those who wish to learn more about it:

@Scarletsquig - Thanks, Icesword reads this so should see your feedback on his range.
@mad4minis - cheers! glad you are happy with the product! I may do some more revolvers at some point but its not a priority. so much stuff on my hands at the moment.
@Commander cain - thanks for the list! flexible rifle straps is an awesome idea, Ill get getting some flexible resin at some point to make parts for planned larger kits, so its pretty doable and I think would sell well, assuming Kit doesnt beat me to it!
@Overtyrant - Yes Ill do flame throwers if I can come up with a good concept for it, probably a combined flamer/acid/chemical cannon.
@clang and mwnciboo - Its a great idea, but too fiddly to cast all those small parts, it would take ages to put each weapon together and they would be quite expensive. It would be easier to just make and sell all the different varients, rather than the parts to make them,
modular scopes and mags is as far as I think is sensible at the moment!
@Shumagorath - Yep Blender, it does everything I need it for, and more importantly, its FREE!! Which makes a big difference for a small company like ours.
@scipio - thanks for the photos - when I get to the modular Gaurdsman range, Ill be making options to fit with various time periods including modern day special forces teams, so expect some realistic guns of some kind at some point - no promises on time scale though!
@conrad turner - thanks for feedback, you are right about the reloading - the cylinder swings out from the top on this sci-fi model, which conveniently means I dont have to change it. I may go back and take another look at the revolver but for the time being im working on other guns.
@Moopy, nice, but not the style im going for with the current range.

That is indeed the little beauty I was comparing Joels work to, Vain. But I wasn't saying Joel should make something like this, I was saying he already had. The stock, handgrip, and main body of the widowmaker 'Headshot' sniper rifle are the same as the widowmaker assault rifle that he has already produced. So it could be argued that Joel has worked this to be the same system as the SABR, and widowmaker rifles can be changed to sniper rifles just by carrying the extra barrel and receiver assembly with you.
I so NEED one of these beauties, and a heavy WM for an all round, get out of any situation, A-Team type squad.

Just FYI, if anyone else is looking at picking up some of these hooded heads for use with the MotN cultists, they're about 25% bigger than the MotN ones and don't work great for swaps. Same with the bare heads. Stick with the ones that come with the kit.

Agreed. The math is good motivation. The quality, service, and the thought that goes into the designs mean that AI surpass GW and FW in every area, IMO

I can get 10 Steam Lords for a bit less than HALF of 10 FW MkIII space marines.
I may get the book. But I won't be building a FW pre-heresy army. Maybe a few special characters or something....
I've been wanting to order from Anvil for a while. The math is good motivation.
Making a FW army is a big investment in funds. I've got a bunch of FW marines, which I'll be mixing in with my regular GW plastics both as full figures and also as parts. My Steam Lords figures will be doing the same. Ditto some of the various Polish figures...
I'm hoping FW will do some crazy Pre-Heresy Landspeeder leaving the old style 1st and 2nd Edition ones alone. This could be interesting for 3rd parties producing "Skimmer craft", and actually I think puppetswar has just released one.
Steam Knights in general seem to be very popular as Pre-Heresy seems to be going turbo.

@skarsol - Yes the MOTN stuff is "real" scale whereas my Steam Lords are very much "Heroic". Ill look at making the listings more clear on this, I hope you put the heads to a good use!
@sicksix and conrad - thanks very much! I do my best to offer the best value possible.
New torsos on the way, so dont order any Steam Lords just yet.
@mwnciboo - I want to make a new jetbike and an attack VTOL vehicle of some sort, just got to find the time!
@ Everyone generally -
Apologies for being a bit under the radar recently! work on new product continues, Im sending a new sprue to the printers tommorow so you can expect to see the new sniper rifle and accessories available in a couple of weeks, along with some new torsos!
I have got some new stuff from Miniatures of the North which I think I mentioned last week, they are now up for pre order-
Imperial Borderer Grenadiers -
Heavy Plate Armour and Powerful Sub Machine guns! They come in 5 parts each, including separate legs, so with just three different minis, you can create lots of variety.
and some more guys for them to fight - Cultists!
Like the other MOTN kits, these are both "real" scale so a lot skinnier than most kits on the market. Available now to pre order, shipping next Monday.
Also here is a preview of one of my upcoming energy weapons - an Anti- Matter Rifle.
Im posting a lot of CAD previews on the Anvil Industry facebook page at the moment, so "like" the page if you want all the updates and a chance to suggest new stuff and design changes.
That anti-matter rifle is exceedingly good! (Mr Kripling my wallet)
Unfortunately my only internet access at the moment is at work, so no Facebooky for me.
Hopefully I can organise internet where I am living within the next month or so, so after that..........

Skarsol, Yes, the heads are the same, the cultists are sculpted on the same blanks as the crowmantians, I assume they are allied/linked to the crowmantians in Iceswords game universe but he can confirm/correct me on that..
