NEW PRODUCT -

When the fighting gets up close and personal, you need the HELLFIRE CANNON.

Compatible with Exo-Lords and similar 28mm scale miniatures, Available HERE

Also out now the "Black Widow" Silenced Carbine I previewed in 3D a few pages ago.

Available here

And a sneak preview of an upcoming "Regiments" figure-

I know the head looks really large, this is because its blow up to screen size, when printed at 28mm the head will look a lot more sensibly scaled in relation to the body.

For more CAD previews like this, you can check out Anvil Industry on Facebook where Im always uploading new stuff Im working on for feedback and suggestions.

The other Exo Lord parts I previewed yesterday will be available tommorow.

Cheers,

Joel

Is he meant to be a squat, or are the proportions just odd?

That heavy flamer is dead sexy.

Are those the rumored shoulder pads? I know you mentioned you would be making a series of regiment sized ones in the future.

The body of that regimental soldier seems... squat. The torso seems out of balance with the reset of the body.

Hmm... there is a certain Dwarven/Squat-esque appearance to his proportions. But to be honest, that's true of all G-Dubs plastic guardsmen. I'm not a huge fan of the proportions myself, but I susect it will blend well with the Cadians and Catachans, so I can't really say anything too critical about it.

It's the torso for me. I understand the need for unnatural proportions when we're going heroic scale, but the torso still looks a little short from the render, even taking that into consideration.

Thanks very much for the feedback guys!

Its partly the scaling looks odd when blown up large, and I think the belt is thick and a bit too high.

I will address the scaling before printing him to ensure he is as close to the correct ratios as possible!

These figures will be the same overall height as GW plastics, and the legs will be similar but the heads, arms and guns will be more realistically scaled.

@Javin - these are just scale indicators, rather than finnished pads, but yes, the regiments shoulder pads are planned in the not too distant future!

Cheers,

Joel

I don't want to sound rude, but surely you have the basic modelling skills required to remove the rock and put him on a 'skull'? (Or any other object?)

Fair point though, I should have changed the rock from the one in Alpha Strike and the Suppression team sets... getting Lazy.

I will do so as and when I remould them - thinking of doing a few more poses anyway to get a 5 man squad.

No Skulls though :p

Cheers,

Joel

5 man sniper squad = all my monies!!

I can't really use just 2 sculpts :-/ but with 5, I could make a whole unit with just one repeat each.

Please do this!

Recieved my master sniper today (friday) not back at all considering I placed my order tuesday night!

Really nice sculpt no flash, had my first really tiny air bubble out of three orders on the spoters cape, easily filled. Looking forward to in time getting a full force.

Il be really interested in how anvil's ruleset developes both fluff wise and force size.

I was about to make an order, but then I remembered that you had mentioned a medic. Is the medic going to be standalone or will he be in a set? We could use some more standalone figures in the Black Ops section.

Thanks mate , but to be honest its easy with good parts like Anvil's ........ now if only Joel would make the Black Ops body separate I wouldn't have to saw so much !

Joel , as a basic idea I think this looks pretty sweet , I'm sure the proportions will match your other stuff eventually , but the design is cool.
How about armoured legs for Stormtroopers ?
A pouch set for the MOLLE armour ?

I really didn't want to whine about heroic proportions, but the more I look at that regiments figure the more the feet bother me.
I understand the logic of making the miniature compatible with other heroic scale lines and the need for a solid connection to the base for gaming, but those feet are enormous!
They draw the eye almost more than the head or anything else on the figure. There's no need to make them Infinity/true scale small, but dropping a few boot sizes wouldn't hurt, IMHO.

I would agree with a couple of remarks all ready made, extend the torso and down size the feet some, the overall look comes across a little ogreish .

I think you will create some cool miniatures but this needs a little tweak IMHO, I am hoping for some cool stuff to come this way in regiment scale.

Hey Joel I've got a few suggestions for regiments figures that I'm sure will make a lot of people very happy.

-Greatcoat and gas mask
-Desert insurgents
-Renegades

That is all. Have fun! :-)

Thanks for all the feedback.

Regarding the scaling of the regiments figure - Im aware of the issues and will make a few changes, but its important to note that the large scale 3D render has to look a bit unrealistic, if I did it to realistic proportions it would look silly in 28mm scale on the table top!

Also, as these are in resin the feet really do need to be big, otherwise they simple will not stand up to gaming. At the moment the model has no arms or gun, once those are added the feet will look proportionally smaller!

@Lockark - The MOTN range is separate, so I cant really tell you when any new stuff will be available or if Icesword will want to release it through Anvil Industry or not.

@EchoJ7 - Yes the legs will be separate peices, while the arms will be one peice with the torso (makes assembly so much easier)

@Big H - Its on the list of things to do, Just haven't got round to it yet!

Thanks for posting up the photos! They look great!

@RiTides - The other 3 sniper sculpts are half finished on my desk, the 5 man squad will be available soonish.

@Asherian - No Jump infantry planned at the moment.

@Barzam - The Medic will be included in the Command squad, but I will make him and some other command figures available separately, the Medical tools/equipment will also be available separately.

@Mwnciboo - No plans for that gun right now.

@Ziiza1300 - All planned, thanks for suggestions!

Cheers,

Joel
