Who would've thought 40K artwork prints can fetch prices like this? Justified or mad rip-off?
Yeah, rip-off, I think.

It could be a pic he printed out and framed

Aren't those prints available at Warhammer World for about 15 quid?

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

You'd have to pay me to take it. That thing is going to require far more work to fix than it would cost to simply buy a new one.

VERY few GW promo items would be worth that kind of money. For that price you could commission a life size Ghal Maraz or a metal Bolter.

I.. wat?

GW made limited edition pre painted stuff once upon a time?

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Nope! It's probably a cheap knock-off China made or badly painted Inquistor model.

Sideshow Collectibles has secured the rights to produce a range of pre-painted resin collectible figures based on the Warhammer 40,000 Universe. This new product is called Warhammer 40,000 Collectibles.

There will be 4 different figure releases every quarter. The Series 1 product is titled: Space Marines Warriors of the Imperium. These first figures, released this November 2002, are Tactical Marines of the Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Blood Angels and the Space Wolves chapters. Later releases will include other chapters and different types of Space Marines for the various chapters. The collectible figures are hand cast and hand painted limited editions that stand approximately 5" tall. These highly detailed figures will debut at a suggested retail price of $25 each. Sideshow will debut the first series of figures at the San Diego Comic Con, August 1-4, 2002.

Yes, I have the Crimson Fists guy. Basically GW let Sideshow use the 3-ups for all of it's plastic Space Marines as the masters for polystone prepainted statues.

Back in 2003 or so.

Wow, that one was listed in my town. I could've gone over there and confiscated it under the Cruelty to Models Act.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Me too! And they were only like $20 or something cheap when they came out. Even Gamestop carried them. They look great sitting next to your computer/etc. If you have a favorite chapter they probably made one.

Every Chinese painting service charges crazy prices for their work, which is only hilarious/sad when you know it's just some poor guy in a dark room painting for $.13/hr.
