When will these be available?

Dang!!!! How did I miss those?!?! I'll absolutely second the question! When will those be available?!?! I absolutely love 'em!

Valete,

JohnS

They are with the caster now, probably a month off release, general purpose multi-fit pistol grip arms to follow.

Not to sound pushy, but this reply was 52 days ago, and I would really like to give you some money. Is there an updated ETA?

That was actually Brother Captsin Kages's comment , not mine. Although I'd be interested in the answer!

Well, as of last week (since it's Sunday here now), at least 3 shipments of V's were stuck in Customs.

Bureaucracies anywhere are a bit of a nightmare, but here with Customs it's even worse - one guy catalogues what comes in, another fills in the form, a third takes it to the assessor, who then passes it back to the first guy and it goes in a circle for a while, circles a few more times, and eventually they might send you the bill.

It's a bit of an unbound finite loop of entropy.

Yeah, believe me Kage, I want to see them out too as much as you do, it's a kick to see things for sale and say "Yup, I did that!"

They look great, which is why i want them so bad. >_<

Do you know if they'll be sold as an assortment pack, or will I be able to order them by the specific gun that I want? I hope it's the latter.

On the subject of these great looking guns(kudos btw), would it be too much to request a shotgun in a similar vein? I know that Vic already has a shotgun for sale, and I have purchased some of them and think they're pretty fantastic. The pictures on the site don't do it justice and the level of detail on it is incredible, but it's clearly based on the Winchester Model 1897 'trench gun', which is an old weapon.

Here's a conversion I started on with one of them and a custodian head(which is also very well done):

Now that particular project that my conversion is from is on hold right now because I'm waiting to get some other guns to fill out the squad with. *cough, cough*

I would love to see something more modern looking as well as an automatic shotgun, rather than a pump action, to replace the incredibly lame-looking GW shotgun.

Here's some examples of real world guns I dug up:

And some fictional:

I'd be first in line to buy up something like this if it was like the quality of the slug throwers you made... that I'm anxiously waiting on.

I like the fictional Shotty on the bottom, very sturdy and robust looking

Dragons fear nothing, if it acts up, we breath magic fire that turns them into marshmallow peeps. We leaguers only cry rivets!

The problem with many of those shotguns is there is little to distinguish some of them from standard assault rifles on a model (especially with some of them being designed to have interchangeable parts with assault rifles I think), so I would say that the best designs to be made into a sci-fi shotgun would be the ones which look most shotgun-like. For me, this is the AA-12 and the bottom fictional shotgun that shasolenzabi mentioned.

If you are looking for sci-fi shotgun inspiration, here is a good high-tech looking shotgun that still definitely looks like a shotgun.

That's a pump action, though. Which I wanted to avoid.

It's selectable to operate either semi or pump.

Yes, I know it has selective options for semi or pump, but it still *looks* like a pump action, which Vic Models already has for sale.

The whole point is I would like to see a combat shotgun that doesn't look like it has a pump, whether or not a real world shotgun can function as an automatic.

Then I don't know what you're going to find that is going to look distinctly different than a battle or assault rifle, at that scale, because it seems that the underbarrel tube magazine is the deal breaker for you, and every picture example you've posted just looks like a big infantry rifle of some kind, at the scale we're talking about.

Mad Robot makes an assault shotgun that looks just like the second in the pic.

Sorry folks, wasn't ignoring you guys.

Updating the shotty is on my list of things to-do, however, it won't be a highly 'modern' one, just some adjustments to bring it in line with Victoria's new vision and where the line is going.

It's also a bit further down the list as well, since I need to finish a few weapon options for other things that are in the works for Victoria, as well as my own personal projects and other commissions!

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

This would be my comment as well. Heroic 28mm miniatures have such thick dimensions that anything with a clip or drum is probably going to look like an assault rifle. it's just what happens when rifle barrel sizes are as big as true-scale grenade launchers. The under barrel tube magazine is the visual cue to tell the viewer that what they are looking at is a shotgun.

I have, spoilered because well.. I'm not a painter.

Spoiler:

One thing I do like about the girls is that they don't have such grotesque hands, making it easier for them to hold weapons from Warlord's range of WWII weapons without either looking out of place, like this trenchgun that I've cut down, because movie reference.

And thanks, I went with a Colonial Marines vibe, only minus the camo, can't paint that for crap.

Excellent conversions. I've used a lot of Warlord's US infantry kit on my guys and they fit very well. The US backpacks in particular look good on them if you have those laying around.

For you guys out there who don't play WWII, Warlord often does 50% off sprues sales which would allow you to pick up their kit for dirt cheap.
