This is Bofors 40mm (or 37mm actually) Anti aircraft gun. found used by both sides of the Second World War. (How did Bofors guns managed to escape the blockades imposed by both Allies navy and German U-Boats?) And following the war. Next time when you quote, don't quote it with image tags intact.
Also, the Bofors was built under license by other nations.

I wasn't sure whether I should at first either, but during the shotgun discussion a few pages back someone plugged the Mad Robot shotguns.
Nobody said anything, so I figured it was oke. My apologies if it is not.

Those artillery wheels that were posted, are they for a counts as earthshaker platform or are they component from these heavy weapons we just started seeing? Or both?

While I have plenty of ideas, including towed field artillery, Victoria has been keeping a tight rein on me so that the Matilda project gets finished (my part is finished!), and that the existing stuff gets rounded out a bit more before I'm turned loose on anything really SHINY again.
Besides, if I have my way, any field artillery will be tracked, like the B-4 howitzer!

When you say my part is finished, what happens afterwards? Just out of curiosity what is the process like?

Ned, for digital work the process is something like this:
Make the mesh/model, seek feedback/approval, make changes as necessary, seek approval/feedback, repeat until client and I are both happy (and client runs out of whizz-bang ideas on how to make it shinier). This section requires a lot of printscreen and Ctrl V.
After doing that and verifying the mesh doesn't have any doomsday level errors in it (these things can't be done like 3d models for movies or video games where objects float through each other or are missing entire sides), I send it off for a printing quote (or sometimes with some clients to a tooling agency).
After the quote comes in, confer with the client, get them to pay the invoice that effective pushes the button.
After that you wait X time for the model to be prototyped out, then it depends.
Normally, for example, with Victoria or Curious Constructs the parts get sent to her, she plays around with it and finds anything that doesn't fit quite right (normally owing to a slight shrinkage or expansion during prototyping - I design with 0.15-0.25mm slippage tolerance, but that's not always enough) and then either very carefully sticks it together to give you photos, or makes a very limited production mould that'll do 5 or 10 copies (not at the best quality, but good enough to get an idea), and then sends it off to the proper production caster.
Some things go straight to the caster, but those are usually for things that get thought of after the fact to go with X or Y that's already in the production cycle.
With other clients, they always go straight from the printer to the caster, but again, this can lead to it's own set of small issues, like a bit more sanding needing to be done on the product that arrives in your mail box.
Then the master mould gets made and put in a safe place, and then the production mould is made, things are put into production, and then shipped to the client/owner who then does distribution.
And sometime after the mesh is done and the mould is made I bill the client for my work and nag them for one or two freebies out of the initial production if I want them!

Neat!
I am sure it must be nice having the pre prototypes for yourself as well for if you want to make a model a little different that you would want to use as well as the freebies.

I ordered some of Vic's new weapons on the 13th... And, lo! Opened the mailbox today and there was a nice littlke airmail package full o' resin-y goodness.
Amazingly fast shipping for going around the world.
The models, themselves, are very nice. Crisp detail. They're a bit smaller than i'd expected, but considering most of my recent baseline is GW overscale stuff, that's a) not surprising and b) nice since I was looking for guns that were a bit more realistic.
The resin is really thin, and I can see some inevitable battle damage in gaming pieces (especially on the sniper rifles) but nothing that's unreasonable.
I'll post some pix with the guns in use when I get a chance.
Overall, very nice pieces and I'm very happy with them. Great stuff from Victoria Miniatures!

Cygnnus and Wehrkind, glad to hear you like the stuff and it's scale. The guns were designed, from the start, with the directive of "make them slightly smaller than the plastics" so that they'd "fit with the girls too".
Can't wait to see the pics, it still overwhelms me that people are playing with stuff that I've done.
