Is there any chance of adding officers (male and female) with impractically gaudy uniforms?
Greatcoats, big hats, epaulets, medals, chest plates, you get the drill. Really you'd only need 2 bodies to start off with a couple of arms and heads.

Each wearing 1.2 Goering's on their chests? (A Goering is the maximum weight in self awarded medals that can be worn without falling over.... (my dad was in WWII).)

One draft of the IG codex (3rd edition IIRC) had a bit of wargear that was the 'Especially impressive medal' that let you ignore the first wound you take as it bounces off the decorations on your officer's chest.
So yes.
Like that.
And braid! Enough braid to tie down a blimp!

I would like some more distinctive officers though; the ones on offer work fine for lieutenants, but I'd like a slight bit more ornate for captain/major and the aforementioned ridiculousness for the higher echelons.

From Facebook:
Hi,
As I write this, Reaper Miniatures have begun shipping the BFG Sledgehammer to the Bones III Kickstarter backers.
That means I can begin releasing the resin accessories. During the kickstarter I had many enquirers about the availability of the crew and officer as separate resin miniatures.
As promised here they are, The BFG Crew and The BFG Female Officer These miniatures come in the Sledgehammer box as plastic "Bones" figures. This resin edition is for all the resin lovers out there and people who just want some cool crew for their artillery
Cheers, V

And a picture of the artillery crew manning a field piece already on sale right now:

The limited edition tank ace is also still on sale: http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/adepticon-2017-limited-collectors-edition-female-tank-ace

Got an email just now:
Greetings,
I have exciting news; On Sunday June 4th, Victoria Miniatures will be launching a shiny new web store.
I have been working behind the scenes for many months to completely overhaul the shopping experience, with new categories, new graphics, new payment options and new postage. I have re-organised much of the pricing making it more consistent, and many products will cost less than they do now.
This awesome new e-commerce platform will make shopping and browsing easy on all devices. The new checkout will accept credit cards as well as Paypal.
There will also be a new postage service, an upgrade from the current system. The new one will be faster and fully tracked worldwide. The rates will change to $15.99 USD flat rate world wide, and all orders of $100.00 USD or more FREE!
Australian customers will receive a special new flat rate, $5.99 USD and orders of $100.00 USD or more FREE!

Would anyone happen to have a pic of one of Vic's guardswomen holding GW's Cadian lasrifle? If I add some of these models in my army, I'd like them to have the same weapons as my plastic guys, but I'm afraid it would look weird considering how big and bulky GW's lasguns are...

Isn't it free worldwide shipping on orders over $50? I think that's changing next week to $100, but still pretty damn good, I'd say. Surely it's not that difficult to reach $50-100 in one order, especially with minis as good as Vics.

From Facebook:
On the workbench, assembling the upcoming Beastman squad, I'm looking at doing a rifle squad and a trench raider (close combat squad)
There is also a vague release date for the Matilda now, though in no way solid: July.
The Sledgehammer and its upgrade parts will happen some time June.

Got my battery! Just in time for 8th.
And just gotta ask to temper my expectations, will this potential/future APC vehicle have a shorter lead up time than the Matilda. I'm excited to soon get my hands on a Matilda, but I think we can all recognize how long the process has been and I don't want to get my hopes up too high for a quick production run on a second vehicle.
Looking forward to putting together my battery and for the upgrade kits though!

Ok, you're a smart fellow to manage your expectations. That said, expect a significantly lower lead in time on APC stuff than on the Matilda.
Once the designs are finalised, instead of doing what we did the first time of going to Printer A, then sending them to Caster B, then having to have parts X Y and Z reprinted, and then determining that the kit, while gorgeous, had too many pieces for resin production to work completely well and having to go back and make multiple revisions thereafter (and in the various stages makes a half dozen trips across the Pacific)...
Once the designs are finalised, I'll send it to Vic to spin around virtually one last time, then we'll (most likely, as in 95% chance) send the files to a company that will do the printing and the casting in house.
I personally feel confident that once the designs are vetted, it should only take a few months (as opposed to years, omg what a nightmare, but that's learning for ya) to roll forward.

Personally I don't - I'm travelling to the US in a bit over a fortnight, so getting everything done in time is just not likely. I prioritised my time to the last tweaks for the Matilda and work on the APC.

Hi, thanks for all the great feedback.
Formerly Wu wrote: Ketara wrote:I'll be honest, I had a load of Victorian Guard off Vic Miniatures a few years back, and they came with horrendously mismatched mould lines all over. I was prepping for Adepticon and in a massive hurry (no time to wait for replacements) so I didn't mention it to them. I did have to spend a lot of time with a file though!
My first handful of squads (back in early 2014) required a bit of work to get in order too, and I had one example of a bad miscast. Victoria replaced the bad piece very promptly, and all of my recent purchases have been very well cast.
I think a lot of the bugs in the casting process have been ironed out.
Yes I changed casters a few years ago. But if anyone does find an issue with one of my minis let me know.

I've never charged $75 for postage. The most I've charged is $10, which will change to $15.99 next week.

Yes, as Jake mentioned below, the turn around will be much quicker. Next week will have the upgrade kits and instructions for the BFG available.
