These Imperial Guard sized, or closer to Infinity sized? Just wondering, as having them for Infinity wouldn't be bad either.

They match up better with guard than infinity.

Time for me to make a Guard unit after one of my favorite punk bands, Masked Intruder.

Unrelated, but if you're at all into punk rock, give these guys a listen, best pop punk band I've heard in years.

It's an ugly planet. A bug planet.

The next Add-On for the Kurgan Winter Guard has been unlocked...Kneeling Legs!

They are available for pre-order HERE

Also received the final test prints, here's a quick shot. These are still considered WIP so a few tweaks may still be in order...

Those are looking sweet.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Actually, I'm not as keen on that last set. It's possibly just that the hats are sitting a fraction too low, but the massive chins, and the eyes too far up the face, make them look a little peculiar.

Don't get me wrong, the sculpting is great, and the character in those faces is awesome... they just need a little more skull.

I suspect you'll find that's another of the optical illusions renders do,

like the people saying the gun was too big earlier on, then changing their minds when they saw a comparison between the real cast item and the GW equivalent (which turned out to be even larger)

Thanks for the feedback all!

Some facial features are overdone on purpose due to the scale. I have a certain approach about how to do it and I can understand that not everyone will dig it. No worries whatsoever

Is that a reference to needing an alteration on the sculpt? or rather a joke at GW where everything needs piles of skulls for decor?

(I'm assuming that it's a GW joke as I'm not sure what "more skull" would mean in terms of sculpting).

No, it was meaning that their heads are quite bottom heavy. The eyes are too far up the face, leaving them with a tiny brain pan.

Do you have to use a creator's eye and experience to build some exaggeration into a design so that the final product ends as "normal"?

It takes trial and error to get it looking the way you want, that's for sure.

I kind of thought this myself when I first saw the renders of the first head set Steve did, but when they get printed they become softer featured meaning the over exaggeration of detail is required in the first place.

But I can pretty much assure you once you see the hard copy you will be surprised how much less pronounced they are.

Nice additions Steve.

About face size, well, we should wait for final prototypes or versions and then we could decide if they are big, small or else.
Recently someone showed compatibility between Mad Robot minis, Victoria minis, GW ones and maxmini miniatures. And I have to say that compatibility is at least very good if not better than that.
So, fellow guardsmen fans (and lunatics (=means ever bigger fans here) as I am) thanks to Steve we have new neoRussians ready for the new codex and even more.

Cheers,
Vostok

Not sure if you mean it to or not, but your sale discount isn't 'stacking' with quantity discount. Like when ordering 5 or more of your new special weapons.

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Dead.
