You could just produce a I small amount pouches that could be added to the top of the legs, this way they could be kept separate allowing other uses for the leg sections but still able to add the pouches for the complete look.

Well, as I said - make both! I'm more than happy for more Steel Legion - I've got a couple of squads myself - which I use as Mechanised infantry as opposed to footsloggers - and I totally welcome more/good proxies. But true Fallschirmjaeger heads can be used both on figures destined for 40k as well as go into proper WW2 games - which opens up a larger overall/secondary market for the heads.

On the torso discussion, I think I will just shorten the bandolier and have it end at the belt. Remember that these are not reproductions just using the German airborne as a design cue

As for the heads, I will try my best to release a separate set for those who want a more straight-forward WW2 look. I know DUST players tend to like some of our heads.

Glad they will be more of an inspiration than a guide.. There are several historical mini companies out there.. and WWII is hard to balance with Sci-Fi if you go too far.

I am working feverishly to get a special new set of heads done that can be unlocked within the Roll Call. At this point I cannot guarantee them but I am trying.

Regarding the fallschirmjaeger heads and the debate whether you're able to offer gas masked and ungasmasked (is that even a word?) variants, aren't your heroic scaled Sadoukadi heads sporting the same type of helmet? Always liked those heads, they have that paratrooper vibe to them, maybe you could do a second head set with open faces rather than face masks, and then a third set with the gasmask/hose look tying the 3 sets together? Variety is the spice of life as they say but just a thought!

It's an interesting idea, I do have plans to offer a few variants on those. I'll have to give it a think

I have a set of those heads and they're flipping amazing. I'd love a set with a respirator or some other sort of breathing apparatus. lol, Steve's got no shortage of requests/work it seems..

It's a pre-order that helps cover the costs of making them.. so it's kinda like Kickstarter..
I asked Steve about this on the first round and he explained it for me. I was a little slow on the uptake but he was patient with me until I got it

Kinda/kinda-not a KS.

It has the same principles that when so many squads are purchased ( on a pre order aspect ) it opens up extras that can be purchased.

It helps to get the miniatures to market quicker by covering the costs up front, plus means more items are added to give the regiment more options and variations.

Its safer and quicker than most Kickstarters IMHO, plus no outlay to a third party which means all funds are invested back into the production.

Really looking forward to this release, the quality of the kurgans was great so not picking up some Danamians isn't really an option for a predator fan,

Put simply, Roll Call is just a way to have some fun while taking pre-orders. The prices are less than when the minis get released and this time around there will be some incentives for people who may be on the fence, a few things to sweeten the pot.

Man, I think I'm going to have to miss this one.. just found out my mom's got cancer and we're currently stationed on the other side of the country from her. Was really looking forward to this but it'll have to wait :/
