I think either Max Mini or Kromlech makes some Ork heads with those hats the Vietnamese used to wear. I'm sorry, I can never remember the names of all the different Vietnamese forces, but it's the weird rice farmer hat thing.

I don't know of any ork heads with those hats, but I know there are Skaven heads with them. I think I'd rather have VC Lizardmen though.

Max has got regular VC heads for humans.. looked at my normal sources and didn't see any for orks.. Basicks has the VC skaven heads though.
I was sure I had seen some though so I'll dig deeper tomorrow.

EDIT:
Kromlech has some that "could" pass as NVA (the "Tommies" strangely look more like the Vietnamese helmets to me) and Spellcrow has some that could pass as VC irregular.. but those are bandanas not the rice paddy hats. Werewoolf miniatures has some helmeted "Caplin" heads that would be a decent starting point if you were to sculpt your own cone hats. The Kromlech Afrika Korps kinda look like orky VC officers.. There's also the ANZAC hats on Kromlech's store that look kinda like hats I'm seeing a lot of the irregulars wearing in photos.

Ork bikers riding around on the little scooters/vespas they had over there would be hillarious.. or maybe rickshaws (was that a Vietnam thing too?).

A sight I would love to see.. these Mad Robot Danamians fielded with some 28mm scale Hueys (Valkyries) M109s (Medusas or Basilisks), M48s (Leman Russ), M42(Hydra), and M113 ACAV as Chimeras..
for the NVA and VC you could either orkify some 1/48 models for BTRs or T-54 or whatever.. EDIT: lol, Lionel Trains makes an O scale scooter.. I can see an ork crammed onto one of those with a grot firing the guns over his shoulder..

Man, this would be an awesome fight to see

Out of curiousity, do you intend to, some time in the future, make French foreign legion heads. As in wearing the kepi hats and stuff, cuz I think that would be a pretty cool head for making FrFL guardsmen

I have some kepi heads tentatively planned for April.

Neat! I dig the more realistic take on jungle warfare in the far future, without it straight up being Space Rambo. I'll keep watching this space as this range develops; the sculpting quality is real nice.

I love a realistic look on my models, and saw on your new release some baggage and webbing gear. Do you plan on selling these separately? If so id probably add a fair amount to my order if I get some.

Wargames Factory has some cool stuff in their survivor sets.. but it'd be neat I think if you offered some variations on that type of stuff.. like CIA-type suits or different types of hoodies and that sort of thing.. just a thought..

I second the suit idea, because then I could make a Hitman force armed with dual las pistols

While I won't argue the merit of the suit idea, I can say it won't happen anytime this year. Our production schedule is full.

Mlaw I don't know if you know the genesis of the DaNamians, but there is a guy out there called Lt. Walke who did the original DNamian army, and he converted all of those vehicles. Unfortuately his website is gone :(


donmcclain.....I have also asked for French Foreign Legion army heads....I mean the kepi with the back flap like Beau Geste. There are many pith head makers, no Kepi!!!! That being said, not sure how many anyone would sell :(

I wish I had sculpting skills...so many parts that would be cool to make for people...

Yes, please do make your own APC, maybe even an LPPV, maybe a Mad Robot Foxhound? or even a GTK Boxer, like the Germans use

I'd say this.. I've looked everywhere for a 1/48 MRAP.. and the other oversized trucks that are built for similar purposes.. and they are exceptionally vacant from the marketplace.

@General Hobbs - Sounds cool.. would like to flip through his army blog sometime.

Not a fan of the MRAP myself but the Foxhound and the GTK Boxer are both good places to start.

Something to consider long term but this year's release schedule is already filled up. Perhaps in the new year

Cool beans I'd go with the Foxhound over the Boxer.. there's already a ton of BMP clones out there and it's close enough to that.

...unless of course you do a version with hover fin type thingies like the Hover APC in Killzone.. in which case I wouldn't have to build one myself and would be all over it
