So now we have to guess whether Malibron was the 3rd or 2nd from last Primarch in that list

I didn't know Russ was found 2nd--eh, he should have made him his Warmaster.

Where's Sigmar? I guess that's right, he was thrown into the Eye and never found.

Call me crazy..but my favorite speculative piece is that Sigmar is one of the Primarchs and that the WHFB universe takes place in a planet blocked off by warp storms from the rest of the imperium.

Were this 1990s Image or Marvel comics, there would totally be a killer 40k/Fantasy crossover with about 8 different covers.

Alas, it is not.

Reds8n's cheating on us with another forum!
Anyway, thanks for that. Coincidently this just came up in another DA related thread. I though The Lion was a little earlier. I'm surpised [deleted from imperial records] is actually on there. I figured they were discovered and lost before the crusade really kicked off. I think at this point they should just write these guys story.

There's nothing speculative about it.. next to 'Blood Ravens come from Thousand Son gene-stock', that was probably the most obvious-without-actually-spelling-everything out-for-you that GW ever did.

Of course now Sigmar's life has been written about, things have moved on, but any questions about this 10-15 years ago were answered with a grin.

That's probably why he didn't bother much with Angron. Just shoved him in a cell and left him for the World Eaters to deal with. He'd already had enough stress with Batman.

NEW TITLES AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER

We’ve got a quick afternoon update for you today before it’s all hands to the pump for the launch of ‘Mephiston: Lord of Death’ this evening.

Our February releases are now available to pre-order and we’ve got some great titles this month, even if we do say so ourselves.

irst up, there’s David Annandale’s Space Marine Battles novel, The Death of Antagonis. This sees the sinister Black Dragons Space Marine Chapter go to war against the victims of a plague of undeath that is sweeping the planet of Antagonis. Assisted by the Sisters of Battle and Inquisitor Werner Lettinger, these champions of humanity are all that stands in the way of the Dark Gods’ victory.

In our next title, we return to the shadowy realm of Commorragh with the second book in Andy Chambers’s dark eldar path series, Path of the Incubus. The dark city reels in the face of a cataclysmic Dysjunction, with only a disgraced incubus warrior standing in the way of its total annihilation.

Next, fans of Gotrek and Felix will be delighted as we add another new adventure to the Slayer’s saga, in the form of David Guymer’s audio drama, Gotrek and Felix: Curse of the Everliving. We’ve also got the new edition of Gotrek and Felix: The Third Omnibus, which features new artwork, an updated Gazetteer and several short stories.

Finally, we have Ben Counter’s first foray into the world of Warhammer with Van Horstmann. This tells the tale of a promising Imperial wizard’s fall from grace as he turns to worshipping the Dark Gods and plans to release a two-headed dragon imprisoned beneath the College of Light.

Pre-order these titles today and be among the first to read them.

NOPE. I was opposed to the idea of novellas when they started those, hardback when they started that and limited editions when they started that. I ain't going near the thing.

Actually last time I was near my local GW I dropped in and had a look at the black library shelf. There was a hardback space marines battle book in there which I picked up and then realized was a novella. I actually felt bad for the poor trees that only got to be turned into a quarter of the book and quickly put it back.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

No doubt referring to Unremembered Empire.

The half dozen I'd imagine would be Guilliman, Sanguinius, Vulkan, and possibly Lion, Curze and ?

Been listening to a lot of the audiobooks lately. Last ones were Dead in The Water and Malediction. I think these audiobooks work better when there's actually less action scenes like Master Imus' Trangression and Regia Occulta but still something needs to happen eventually and I felt like nothing happened in Dead in the Water.

I loved Malediction though. However I must say it pumped up my dislike for the Dark Angels to a whole new level.

Pretty far into The Madness Within. This one kind of feels like I got parachuted into a story rather than a complete one. Like I'm supposed to know these characters already. Can't say I'm enjoying it.

Curze? He was a traitor by then as far as i know the Massacre happened, i'd say the last 3 are Lion, Corax, and Khan.

Speaking of Yarrick. After getting my copy of Chains of Golgotha, I went online and purchased the ebook Survivor and the eshort Evil Eye.

I was really pleased with Survivor (highly recommended) but after opening up Evil Eye and realizing that I just paid $1.25 for a 6 page story...I was mad as hell.

$1.25 is not a lot of money but seriously?!? Only 6 pages and you are going to sell that?

They even posted some reviews from other authors:

‘Brutal and focused, it takes you right into the moment.’ – John French

‘It's subtle, it's slick, and it's full of nods to the wider storyline of Yarrick' – Laurie Goulding

FROM SIX FRICKEN PAGES PEOPLE?????!!!!!
