Started detailing the back a little bit, FW inspirated:



Made a crate with some stowage in it. Saw that in an older chapter approved book with Armageddon Steel legion chimera's:

Thinking about what to do with the red/white surface..
Probably a black circle with a number in it. Also like the Armageddon Steel legion chimera's used to have.

I need to learn something from this painting of yours. My vehicles are white. You basically take a light color here and slightly edge it to make it stand out. I'm not sure I'll have that option, but maybe I can find a slightly less white to repaint the large surface areas of my vehicles and emulate this.

at devlain.... could you show us a single section of your tracks? would love to see how you did these...

I thought Vik would be interested in the tracks... They look great though, kudos for having the patience to create so many track links AND have them come out looking so uniform

That is fantastic work, you should defiantly make a tutorial video for this. I wouldn't doubt people would pay to learn to make plastic card tanks. The paint job is great to boot.

yes...the tracks are awesome...and thanks for the explaining pic! i bet the construction of these woudl be even more expensive then buying some premade ones... so more respect to you for going the extra mile to make something outstanding and awesome such as this!

Very well done. Gorgeous plasti-card work. Have to say I love the use of Valhallans as Vostroyans. Great fur-caps you've sculpted for them too. Much better looking that the actual Vostroyan mini's.

Very nice painting on the tanks. Trying to decide if they're sand, bone or something in between. Can I be cheeky and ask how you painted them?

Those scratchbuilt chimeras are incredible! Looking forward to seeing how the russes turn out.

@ Von Domm: I think premade tracks are waaay more expensive than what im doing. I buy an L-beam for like 2,- euros. and the rod for 1.5,- Ofcourse the time it takes..

@Leadlegion: I haven't sculpted any fur for these models lol. I do have some pig iron winter militia helmets swapped with some original heads.

About the colour of the tanks. Pretty simple:
Dheneb Stone/Ceramite white 60/40, and shaded with Graveyard earth and something that looks like scorched brown.

Oh my. And here is me thinking you have been slacking after you finished your clone trooper army when you have been whipping tanks up all this time!

Stunning work as usual, you have some high expectations to live up to after the last army but I am sure you can do it!

Very cool, Im a huge fan of your painting style, its very crisp and clear. I loved it on the clones and it looks great on the Vostroyans
